Has anyone seen the Iron Man mandarin set at retail yet? (although with these prices even a MYER deep discount sale probably wont make them worth buying :) -

No sign of Series 10 anywhere at Carousel. K-Mart did have the Iron Man Seaport Battle and Mansion Attack as well as the Superman Black Zero Escape and Metropolis Showdown. Only clearance items I saw were Hobbit Spiders set and a few of the really small stuff. Toys R Us had the Barrel Escape. Plenty of Galaxy Squad everywhere. -

A Target Clearance store in WA would be awesome :) \ -
Can anyone identify what part is being used for the lamp in the family house? The clear parts making up the shade that is.
-
Have we seen any HR pictures of the cargo helicopter or the cargo plane yet?

If the sign said "20% off toys" and didn't say "excludes LEGO" or "exclusions apply" or something like that not offering the discount is false-and-misleading-advertizing and is (I believe) illegal. -
I am liking this house very much. Great set and potentially awesome parts pack.

Spotted Life of George in Big W at Cockburn earlier today. -
Personally, I would like to see the d2c (Creator Expert) gurus take on a typical American steam locomotive. So basically a set with Emerald Night levels of detail but based on a typical "Wild West" style locomotive (and yes I know about the Lone Ranger train but that's a licensed set and a d2c set could still be better.

Of all the maps TLG makes, they had to go and pick the way-overused Indiana Jones map tile :( That said, if I can get a deal on this (and on the larger house) that is as good as the deal I got on last years Seaside House, I may well pick this up for parts alone.

Watching the video makes me want this more and more. But when the likely Australian RRP is more than a weeks rent, its hard to justify spending that much.

Boy do I like this. Need to wait for more info (such as an inventory) before making a final decision though. That and the Australian price tag (which, based on the prices given in the press release and based on the price differences of other sets, will probably be somewhere north of AU$300)

Set 6117 from 2008 was the most recent set to contain anything like a reasonable number of windows.
-
I would like to suggest a window 1 x 4 x 2 size. So basically it would be like the current 1 x 2 x 2 flat front window but twice as wide. It would come in black and white as colors (at the very least) and have glass in trans-clear and trans-smoke and trans-light-blue

Ever found a piece that doesn't belong in a set?

Someone reported on another forum that they spotted Iron Man 3 and Man of Steel sets in a Big W store. Also, Life of George spotted in the Target in Fremantle earlier today. -
I think the definition of Model Team is realistic looks, high details (with lots of tiny, often specialized, parts) and large scale. I own the blue Lamborghini police car and I think that it is more deserving of the label Model Team than most Creator sets (I wish I had been able to get the yellow Lambo too) I think sets like the VW Van and Sopwith Camel would also be deserving of the label Model Team. Less convinced that the VW Beetle or the 787 are Model Team because they use so many basic parts and not so many specialty parts as compared to the specialty parts use of the VW Van, Sopwith, Red Barron and Wright Flyer. I even think that the Ultimate Collectors Series Batmobile has some of the elements of Model Team.

Anyone have information on how many different languages the tabak/tabac/etc brick was released in and which variants were used in which countries? Was it ever released in English? Interesting to think that back then it was acceptable )at least in some countries) to put something mentioning smoking/tobacco in a toy for kids.

those in wa who waht the ferraris, the shell at belmont forum has everything except the fxx -
I have no interest in the Coast Guard sets (I bought enough Coast Guard stuff last time). Definitely interested in that race truck and the tilt-rotor cargo copter. Interested in the town square but it depends on price (its likely to be big and expensive, even more so if its a retailer exclusive) And yes I agree the public transit set is a GREAT set (Pitty that it was a TRU exclusive which limited the opportunity to snag one on the cheap)

If you are referring to the purple parts in the awnings of 41006 they appear to be these http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=88293

If anyone in Perth wants the Shell Ferrari 250 GT, the Shell on Berwick Street/Kent Street corner has plenty of them (along with the truck, the 458 and the F1 car) No sign of the FXX or the F40 yet. -

I hope the Jazz Man comes with a Saxophone, after all Jazz and the Saxophone go hand in hand. Plus a Saxophone could be used for Lisa in the rumored Simpsons theme.
