  1. One MOC idea I have had is to build an Octan station following the standards of the old Moonbase idea. Too bad the airtanks part doesn't come in green :(
  2. If it wasn't for the fact that all my relevant parts are tied up in an Octan petrol station that was both built too early and built too big (32 x 48 rather than 32 x 32), I would definitely have entered this contest.
  3. Nice job on a nice looking shell station. I love the oil containers, the use of the revolvers for fuel nozzles, the custom stickers and all the little details you added.
  4. The question I want answered is whether LEGO is going to comply with the license for all the software they are using (e.g. Linux kernel) and release the source code where required to by the license (e.g. license for Linux kernel requires release of the source code including any specific changes made in the version that's running on the EV3)
  5. Nice houses. Did you make the Coca-Cola can decals yourself?
  6. The car seat isn't new, its been around since about 1998 or so. Its a nice piece though :)
  7. Too bad there are no modulars at all in Perth :(
  8. Great house, nice to see rarer colors like dark green getting use.
  9. With the frequency that Target seems to be having sales these days you would almost be stupid to pay full price for LEGO at Target.
  10. Has anyone heard any rumors about whether the Haunted House and Arkham sets are coming to oz and if they are, who will get the exclusive? I know that the Horizon Express is reported to be a MYER exclusive and the Palace Cinema is likely going to follow the other modulars to DJs but I haven't heard a thing about the Haunted House or Arkham.
  11. Reminds me of that Mythbusters episode where they strapped an airplane engine to some train wheels for some myth or other.
  12. LEGO did make a transparent hand in the form of the pirate hook which comes in trans-light-blue, trans-red and trans-fluro-green. However, I guess the hook mold is stronger than the regular hand mold which is why they can do it.
  13. Thats because posts that go into the LEGO thread on WP go into other places here on Eurobricks.
  14. For those in the west, the Shell on Berwick Street in Vic Park has a display stand in the shop with the truck, the red F1 car and the yellow car on sale.
  15. I second the idea of putting it on Cuusoo, I would LOVE a coca-cola truck. Great MOC, you really captured the spirit of the Coca-Cola trucks I see on all the Coke ads :) Its actually making me want a Coca-Cola right now (but I dont have any and the shops aren't open yet :)
  16. Nice job, the interior uses some pieces I would never in a million years have thought it possible to use in a town MOC :)
  17. Personally I hope that the Exo-Suit wins the review as it would be good to see something that isn't a license. That or the Technic Land Rover (I dont think LEGO have ever done a pickup truck in Technic before and certainly not one as a "flagship" sized set)
  18. Good that I can buy them separately since I dont own a car :)
  19. I suspect the Coles Express offer will be the same Shell Ferrari sets that are currently being sold by Shell in other countries.
  20. I do love the new sets but with so many great things this year its hard to justify these. Will probably wait for instructions/inventories to appear and then use that to judge which sets have enough parts to be worth buying, which sets aren't worth buying but have 1 or 2 good parts (the good parts would go on my BL wanted list) and which sets are no good at all.
  21. I think there would be no problems for LEGO if they did Simpsons to just not make anything they consider inappropriate like Moe's or Duff or Laramy or Mrs K and Skinner or Gay Smithers or whatever. Characters I want to see if this goes ahead (and the accessory the character should have) Frink (with beaker) Sea Captain (with captains hat) Hans Moleman (with walking stick) Homer (with donuts) Lisa (with saxophone) Bart (with skateboard) Kodos and Kang. (with their helmets) One interesting question is whether LEGO would or wouldn't make set(s) that in some way promote or depict the obesity that is so common in the Simpsons universe (e.g. a Krusty Burger set) given that promoting fattening foods to to kids is not as acceptable as it used to be...
  22. Doesn't surprise me, Harvey Norman is never the first place I would go for anything, I have yet to see anything HN sells that you cant get elsewhere cheaper.
  23. For those in the west, Toyworld in Claremont has all 5 TMNT sets (the Baxter Robot Rampage set is a TRU exclusive aparently). No sign of them at MYER in the CBD yet.
  24. Nice bugs, I like the use of the lever part as legs on the millipede.
