  1. I think there is a button to contact the sellers in there so you can ask about the condition of the item or request a picture. My experience from BL is that generally people are very honest about the condition of listed items, and often write in the description if it is very worn or has play marks. But there is always a risk. Edit: here is a guy who has a bunch http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?sID=370517&itemID=54714697 As you can see he has different prices depending on the condition, and a description for each. These vintage figs tend to be a little pricey, and therefor people take a little better care of describing them. You can find them cheaper on there, but then the seller often has only one fig for sale. I don't know how people normally find what they are looking for on BL, but I often go through the Referrence Catalog rather than the search function, I find that a lot easier:)
  2. I totally agree with you! Maybe it's just because I am doing City MOC's, but that guy is just perfect. He may not have the greatest accessories but the fig itself is awesome. The rest are just new versions of old stuff for genres i don't really care about. There are soooo many wizards now... I wish they would make more City CMF's
  3. Nice pool design :) and I love the classic town guy. The moc reminds me of Super Mario :)
  4. I think you would have better luck at finding a decent price for then at bricklink, and a better chance of them actually being original:) Edit: faefrost bear me too it, was checking out at the super market :)
  5. Nice work :) I did one my self that is very similar a long time ago. The front is tricky, did you manage to make room for a steering wheel? I found it really hard to get the distinguishing features of the front without it being too tall.
  6. They are very well done! It's a hard vehicle to Legofy, but I think you did a very good job. All those angles would make my head hurt...
  7. I think I like it :) your modifications to the tumbler suits the design very well. I don't know if the crime rates in the arctic requires batmans intervention, but looks like he is well prepared now :)
  8. I am honestly a wee bit disappointed. Out of those 6 the only one I would consider getting is the Gamer dude, and maybe the Godess Warrior if I was going to do a Lego opera. Nice touch though with the printed toes Partswise only the Space Miners helmet and the printed arms are interesting to me. The rest of the figures just don't seem interesting to me, and it seems like they are running out of ideas. When I first saw the Dino Tracker I had no idea what she was supposed to be, an Amazon Nurse maybe... I just don't see anything new in them, or anything that would make me think "I want that one!", but i guess taste is different, what a boring place the world would be if we all liked the same
  9. Me too! although I never go smaller than mini fig scale, I love the challenge of getting as much detail and stuff in there
  10. Looks great so far I like the old technic a lot without all the panels and stuff. Funny to see an "old style" creation made out of lift arms
  11. Congratulations, you are now a knigget Sir Rollermonkey I am a little bit in the same boat as you, I just tend to be to tired to build when everybody goes to bed...
  12. I just walked by a toy store yesterday and they had 5 or 6 of these in the window of their Lego section:)
  13. Welcome to the forum Thiago, I too am a 32 years old fan of Lego since childhood, but from Denmark:) Your HMLs sound interesting, I have not seen any of that on here before I believe. Are you building in mini fig scale or bigger? Anyway it would be very interesting to see :) Welcome to the forum Thiago, I too am a 32 years old fan of Lego since childhood, but from Denmark:) Your HMLs sound interesting, I have not seen any of that on here before I believe. 14. Nice work, a lot of detail and functions for such a tiny build :)
  15. I have a picture in my head of a guy in a miners helmet constructing a house atop a flower
  16. Isn't this starting to get blown a little out of proportions? How big is this problem in real life? And isn't this mostly happening to sets mostly bought by adults?
  17. @danth, I think everybody but you got the point...
  18. Really good work The crane looks great, and the way you did the fenders works really well. And all that stuff on the forecastle looks amazing, nice level of detail
  19. Well, I would say then, you have just the right amount, don't get anymore :)
  20. I think it was worth the wait The facade has a great look, loving the windows, and the interior is great too. The curtains are a nice touch, and the banister seems to work cery well. And very nice fire place
  21. Ah, ok Very nice work on the Fredrikstad buildings, I am going there with my family this summer for a wedding Your train stuff is very realistic too, that turntable is impressive, I'll have to start checking the train forum again
  22. Very interesting architecture, and smartly built. The interior is also great, I love the office stuff
  23. I don't think that is good customer service, if you buy something "new" you expect it to instantly give that impresion when you open your package. Anything else is a bit disappointing. Most of my experiences with buying like that is from BL, and buying individual bricks, and here the standard varies greatly. Mostly when you buy bricks that are listed as new, people pack the bricks in bags for each kind, but I have had the come loose in a box with no wrapping on anything. To me that kind of makes it "uesd" when it arrives, after being rumbled and bumbled on the way. In your case I would say each figure should at least be in its now bag, and packed in a secured way.
