  1. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, the same goes for that kind if stuff :)
  2. Very good and very realistic! I like your castle style a lot, not to much fancy stuff just raw stone walls, super cool. And it's a very interesting castle layout too. Good work !
  3. Wouldn't it be kind if silly to put a Lego movie prospector in the series right after having a whole series devoted to the movie? He looks great though:)
  4. I think it looks very interesting and would strongly consider buying it. There is however a lot if stuff I can't really use in there, but I guess the Dino can sit in the window or something:) As for the whole gender discussion, I would rather not bring it to eurobricks:) but in general I don't believe releasing a "feminist" set is good for anything in that regard. Isn't that the opposite of equality:)
  5. It certainly would :) I like those modulars but they are just to small for me :)
  6. Hey New Guy :) Welcome to the forum Marius, there are definedly tons of great city ideas :)
  7. I hope I get to see it :) we will be staying in Oslo for a couple of days and come down to Fredrikstad for the day, so I hope we have time to swing by:) We tried to find a hotel in Fredrikstad, but it didn't work out unfortunately.
  8. Google and Wikipedia, they are your friends :) http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brig, note the first 2 lines of text :)
  9. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=96050 here is a very similar topic, you can also find a lot of stuff through lego.com, but i think they only do current stuff.
  10. I would like to try this program too :) Edit: about 4 hours later, my baby daughter wakes me up and says with her little baby mouth:"daddy daddy daddy, wuddont yous rather play with me than some of those silly plastics" and Daddy says "of course my dear" so cancel that....
  11. Unless there is something I don't know, you can't.
  12. I think we are talking about the same thing, the mast sticking out of the front, right That's some good progress, looks even more impressive! Nice touch with the bunny ears
  13. Nice ones! I think Marge's wagon fits the style very well, Mr. Plow is my favourite though
  14. I have the rule: If you want to swoosh, do it with your own damn Lego
  15. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?S=21050-1 is this the one? it is from last year
  16. That is a very nice little creation, I think you have captured the arcitectural essence very well, instantly recognizable
  17. Why is it that this thread, and this thread alone, always comes up as unread when i scroll through the forum? Highly annoying since it is such an important topic that you just can't help clicking on it
  18. Still looks great Nice mud guards, and i really like how you have placed the pneumatic valves. The shovel is starting to look a little too small though, so good thing you put that coupling on there
  19. You need a hosting sit for your pics, i recommend bricksafe.com, very easy to use and very fast to sign up And I recommend resizing your pictures to 768x1024 (i think thats the numbers ) before storing them there
  20. Here are some pictures http://www.thebrickf...o-ideas-product, if these are the sets they look pretty interesting, but I think the price looks a little high just from a quick look at it. Edit: the price seems to be for all 3, so fair price I think. Very versatile research institute
  21. I just found my old space figs, that blacktron guy was not in condition for collecting, but I wish you the best of luck in completing your collection
  22. Yeps, you have to start somewhere The 80's trains are still the only Lego trains I really care for, the sets released since then just have no appeal to me, I can't quite say what it is about them.
  23. Well I say, good luck to this investor, I think he will need it. I am pretty sure any increase in value will pretty much be eaten up by having an insurance policy running for that long and expenses for storage and the likes. And if your sales taxes are anything like DK, he will finance a whole lot of school books :) I would assume that somebody making that kind of investment for resell purpose would have to have his business registered, so he probably won't be able to make his way around taxes. And I just don't think SW value will increase so much that this size of investment will be worthwhile. But who knows :)
  24. I agree This insurance story sonuds really weird. Somebody buying 1 million pounds worth of Lego is not going to sell it set by set on ebay or BL. It must be a regular retailer. But I have never heard of one insuring a specific part of their inventory that way. And I am pretty sure it would have to be current market value if the insurance company has any sense to it. It could be some really eccentric collector, but he would have to have a shizzleload of doubles in his collection to get to a million pounds. To the best of my knowledge there are no SW product so rare or special that an insurance company would insure it to anything above current market value.
