  1. Very impressive work on the hull! I love to see stuff like this built in bricks in stead of all those LDD pics out there Again, i love those little cannons, and that winch thing looks great!
  2. Thats one big ship! good work with all the little angles. And i like that big bow spear (hope it's called that in english )
  3. Those are reallly cool mortars, very realistic
  4. Beautiful ship, the first thing i thought of when i saw it was a Leopard 1 tank...
  5. Cool little ship, and very nice use of the horse
  6. I am actually not much of a Pirate fan, but this looks really good! It is full of nice little details, those little cannons are my favorite
  7. Hello! Welcome Mr. LegoExpert, the expert of Lego! I thought your name sounded familiar, I have seen some of your posts around the forum; nice stuff
  8. Well, good work on the painting! They both look absolutely great!
  9. Ah, Micro-Machines, another fond memory :) That is a great collection, and I hope you find the missing stuff! Did you check the rest of your aunts flower pots :) It sounds like you came up with a good cleaning process, and it looks like it works really well. It's nice to follow your endeavor, and as someone stated above it's nice with a happy ending:)
  10. Haha that is awesome, really great work :) is that an original duplo face it looks so much like Donnie D!
  11. How's the cleaning going :) did you find any treasures in the pile :)
  12. That's a very nice little bridge :) you have some nice stuff on your flickr, I really like the 2 different types of large columns, and those baby ton tons are pretty sweet :)
  13. I am on my crappy phone so I can't qoute :) About YouTube doing something about people buying subscribers: I don't think they will. Why would they, if anything it creates an illusion of activity on their site, although tiny in the big picture. And people are very primitive, if something seems to be popular, it is per definition good. Same reason why people buy more subscribers in the first place. Now to the interesting part, the off topic stuff: again Mr. Ed's statement about electricity makes no sense. There is no positive and negative electricity. Electricity is the "movement" of charged electrons from a starting point to a destination, a positive pole and a negative pole, or a katode and an anode. He might be talking about positively and negatively charged particles, but how he describes it makes no sense. Electricity is still just and exchange of energy between the two in the form of charged electrons. This is all 5th or 6th grade physics. About that door everybody is so fascinated with: first of all it doesn't weigh 9 tonnes, it's much less. Secondly it is very simple to construct, you can do it yourself if you have the time and a big rock. First you place the big rock with what you estimate to be it's center of gratity on top of something that will serve as a pivot. Then you drill a hole through it. Then you slide an iron rod though the hole you just drill, and place a second pivot on top. If it is Not balanced perfectly, you chip a little off the rock to balance it. Please remember that this guy Ed made this coral castle over a period of 28 years, and it was pretty much all he did in those 28 years. So he had plenty of time to do it. Yes it is quite an achievement, but there is nothing mysterious about it.
  14. Hi bookworm, welcom back to Lego and welcome to the forum :)
  15. Nice one :) I like the idea.
  16. I like it, nice that you put some bicycle bumpers (have no idea what they are called in english:)) on the trailers. And I think it's the most realistic looking double trailer I have seen so far. I can see that we are making all the same trucks almost :)
  17. I very much welcome the idea. I have some issues with the available road base plates, mainly that the roads are too narrow, the pretty much only work with 4 wide vehicles, particularly when it comes to corners. But you would probably have to go to 48x48 base plates to fix the problem i have, and then a cityscape would become huge, so i don't know if it is something you are considering for your project. Edit: I have done the survey and made some suggestions
  18. I am changing to the same kind of storage. I used to have my bricks and plates in clear bags sorted in sizes, and special parts in some of those metal things with little plastic drawers. Now they just dont fit anymore so i have acquired a bunch of clear plastic take-away food boxes. They are really cheap, have a good size and if you are not to hard on them they hold up pretty well. Bricks and plates are still in bags, just bigger ones As for sorting i do it by parts. Just because it is easier to find a red 1x1 brick in a buch of 1x1 than in a bunch of red bricks For special parts i store some of them together, like a bunch of different kind of modified plates in one box. I just sort it to a degree where it is easy enough to find what you need.
  19. Still looking great! The wall structure over the turnstiles is super, fits very well with the rest. I like the inverted slopes under the arch pieces, the suit the curve pretty well.
  20. It looks pretty nice from above, but hard to really see Could you post some picture from the side, would really like to see what you have built
  21. Ok, so a mechanical atom generator is a magneto, which is a dynamo. Those had been around for a century at that time, I don't understand the fascination of his endeavor... What you say after that makes absolutely no sense to me, maybe I am emmensely dense, what is your point? Take the topic space weather for example. There are many YouTube space weather ...... Its about money and control certain of information. There are plenty of places online where you can buy followers or subscribers for your blog or youtube channel, no mystery there. First some of Edward Leedskalnin Ideas has already been proven by Spintronics, however Edward tells us that he doesn't believe in the electron theory because scientist use ultra indirect methods to figure out the nature of electricity in that matter. Eds says that if you use the method that are in his book you will see that electrons don't exist and that electricity is really made up of north pole individual magnets and south pole individual magnets and you cant have electricity with out running the both currents against each other in the wire. Ed never talks about free energy in his books, he talks about the perpetual transformation of matter and how the north and south magnets are the basic building blocks of nature. I haven't read Ed's book, but from what I have seen so far this guy hasn't come up with a single original idea (that makes sense, that is). All I can see him doing is coming up with new names and terms for already existing devices and physical principles. There is no such thing as an individual magnetic north or south pole. You can't have one without the other, it is the equivalent of having half a boble, it makes no sense. A magnetic field is cause by electrons in a domain having a syncronized rotation around their respective atom. This field has 2 ends, north and south. It doesn't really matter if this guy Ed believes it or not, thats how it works. I am sorry to say it, but you are wasting your time with this Ed guy. There is a reason nobody cares about his "scientific work", it makes no sense. He was very good at sculpting coral rocks and moving them around. Have a look at all the levers and tripods in pictures of him and his workshop, thats how he did it.
  22. Welcome Fush, hope you Will like it here, it's usually quite nice :)
  23. Hé hé, Nice one :)
  24. That's too bad, it would have been a really good conspiracy. This thread is a prime example of of how conspiracy theories are born. Somebody sees something that doesn't make sence to them, and thinks it must be the result of somebody else's I'll intentions. And if the plot has a whole, there is an even more elaborate conspiracy behind that. My "favorite" conspiracies are definedly Chemtrails and what this topic is about; somebody suppressing all these brilliant inventions because the "military industrial complex" or whatever says so. How about maybe, all that fancy stuff just doesn't work and nobody cares?
  25. Yes, we do...
