Welcome! Welcome to the 2014 Eurobricks Digital Contest for Ldraw and LDD tools. This years theme is to create your LEGO dream home; build any kind of building or construction that you'd like to live in - house, cottage, bioshpere, tree house... This is the entry topic for the free-build category Please read the rules and post your model here. One entry per member per class. You may enter one MOC in each of thee three classes (free build, microscale and rendering) Entries are to be placed in the correct entry topic in this forum. Entries not in the correct entry topic are not eligible for voting. You may create a separate topic for your creation in the specific theme forum (i.e not in the Digital Design forum), but you should also place your entry in the entry topic. The entry post may be edited at any time up to the end of the contest, so feel free to make improvements if you wish. Entries are to consist of no more than 6 posted pictures of 800x600 or smaller resolution. You may link to higher resolutions of course. A little Photoshop is allowed for the picture, but only white balance, background editing etc. The model itself should remain unchanged. You must share your digital file in the free build and micro-scale class. This is both to allow other people do judge your digital techniques when voting, but also to share in the spirit of the community. You don't have to share the file in the rendering class. On the other hand, in the rendering class, you must (if you win) share how you did the render (it doesn't have to be a detailed guide, but some tips and tricks at least). We reserve the right to disqualify any entry that does not follow these rules. ONLY POST ENTRIES IN THIS TOPIC! COMMENTS AND OTHER POSTS WILL BE REMOVED. If you want to show your model to other users and let them comment on your moc, just make a topic in the correct subforum like any other moc.

Sharing Instructions
legolijntje replied to Lakop's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Yep, MOCplans if you would like to sell it. But a good alternative to Brickshelf is Bricksafe.com, by the same author of Rebrickable.com. Or, you could of course get your own site -
LDraw on Dual Boot Win7/Ubuntu?
legolijntje replied to JM1971's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
LPub with LDview is very slow on Windows 7. Nobody really knows why (as far as I know). There was a quite long topic about it on the LDraw forums (may be interesting to read), but I can't find it anymore. It was also very slow on my Windows 7 PC, but since I have Windows 8.1, I don't have any problems -
LDraw on Dual Boot Win7/Ubuntu?
legolijntje replied to JM1971's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I think it would be a lot easier if you could fix the UAC problem instead of isntalling a second OS (unless you want the second OS of course) But, I don't have any problems with LPub and LDview (Windows 8.1). Can't you change the security settings? -

Well, when you type a text, there are a bunch of buttons on the top of the editor. The button under the smiley-button is the image button. It looks like a picture with a tiny tree. If you click that, you have to fill in the path to the image. Make sure this is the path to the image itself, so it has to end with something like .png, .jpg, .bmp etc. On Bricksafe, you get that link by hovering over the image, so you can see a list of available sizes, then choose one and copy the adres in your adres bar. Make sure the image is not bigger than the maximum size allowed on EuroBricks (1024 x 768). You can also just link to the picture of course, pasting in the web adres. -
Power functions - tilt sensor etc
legolijntje replied to cyber_human's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
If it are only 69 pieces, it doesn't take that long (for people who already know how to do it of course). You can send the file to me, I can create something Although I would recommend to try it yourself too, so you can do it too (which gives an amazing satisfying feeling ) , but I don't know if you're in a hurry.... -
LEGO graph paper PSD file?
legolijntje replied to kibosh's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
The only grid I know of are these, but as you say, they can't be scaled, it are pdf's. If you can provide me with an image of an (other) grid, I can create a vector image for you (using Adobe Illustrator) I tried exporting the grids from the pdf files, but they aren't an image, they are loose lines... The lines in the pdf are vectors though and can be scaled/zoomed endlessy -

To share a photo, you must upload it somewhere (for example flick or bricksafe.com) and then add the picture using the button at the top of the window to write your message. Or you can of course just add a link to the picture -
Well, this one is less work It was also an experiment for me how it would turn out if I make the whole model in SR3D and instead of submodels I use the groups function to make all the submodels and then I export all submodels and import them again in MLCad to make a proper .mpd. But who knows... Maybe one day all of Madoca's amazing creations will have non-photo instructions

I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm working on 'real' instructions for the SUV (MK1). The photo instructions are excellent and almost everyone who wanted to build one has already done so, but still... this model deserves some good instructions So, I have the model and all submodels build and stepped. I now need to put them together and add all buffer exhanges and arrows. I'm in doubt if I will add LSynth wires. Although the model doesn't include that much, it's still a lot and I completely suck at LSynth. I know how to use it (basicly), it's just not my type of work The instructions would look way better though, with LSynth instead of photos how to wire everything (it's a quite compact model and all wires have their own spot). And, then everything needs to be pulled through LPub of course. I hope to have it finished in 2 weeks

You can also use Bricksafe.com -
Thanks brickie and Mikuri. I'm glad you like it

Madoca is a member here on EB. You can contact him by sending a PM Do you know a nickname of "Huib van der Hart"? It sounds Dutch and maybe he is a member of the Dutch LUG LowLUG and I can send him a PM there. If you send Madoca a message, you may add a PS that afol1969 is working on instructions for his Wing Body Truck, and that I'm making some instructions for his SUV

You can use Bricksafe. It can host both your images and LDraw files and it workes great. It's made by the same person who made Rebrickable.

Hi, A few months ago I built a 3D Puzzle on a bored day. It just came into my mind and I built it. A lot of people tried it and most of them really liked it, because it wasn't impossible difficult, but certainly not easy. A few days ago, I came across the puzzle again, and I decided to make building instructions for it. You can download the instructions here. I didn't bothered making pictures of it, but JunkStyleGio made a render of it:

I always keep my boxes until it reaches a certain amount where I start thinking "Why? " and I trow them all away and the circle starts again. There are a few special boxes I keep though, such as the Limited Edition 41999.

Wow, great work afol1969. I forgot a bit about it, to be honest. I was busy arranging some things for the in the LDD/LDraw subforum (hopefully coming soon) and other personal things. Btw, if you need help with after editing the generated LPub file, feel free to ask. I can edit the PDF files directly and the LPub exported pdf consists of loose images and things, so I can change (for example) a number, I can remove a certain part, I can add images, I can remove strange borders, I can add extra text, I can add a cover etc. I'm looking forward to the result.
