Digital Znap in Ldraw
legolijntje replied to 1963maniac's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Well, if it's a Technic model, I would recommend SR3D Builder, it is the best in handling Technic models. To answer your question about copy-paste: yes. Well, .ldr and .mpd (both from MLCad) files can be opened in SR3D Builder and .l3b (from SR3D Builder files can be openen in MLCad. There's a drawback though, in using SR3D Builder for instructions. There are a bunch of commands and stuff that can be used in LPub that are only available in MLCad. But, since SR3D Builder is so much easier to use when building, I make the model in SR3D Builder and then import it in MLCad to add the last things (like ghosting, sub-models, arrows etc). Then I import it in LPub. Feel free to ask any more questions. Making instructions isn't the easiest thing on the planet, but the result is always very nice -

Or SR3D Builder and LPub (with a little bit of MLcad if needed). -

That's a..... strange looking vehicle But it looks very nice though. I like the style. Nice work -
Hi all, I was just thinking about the following: LEGO is always making new parts. New parts aren't bad at all (there are some exceptions of course). But, LEGO is also about creativity, and it's not very creative to just make a new part instead of finding a good solution with what's already available. LEGO is making quite a lot of new parts lately. There are 2 categories of new parts: there are parts that are just unusable in any other creation except for what it's made for. And there are parts that are very general and are very useful in a lot of creations. Although the new parts are mostly from category 2 lately, it still are a lot of new parts. I don't want to say that new parts a bad, but what if we would take a break? What if we would focus for a moment on what we have already? There were more of these discussions in the past. But, I was thinking: what if LEGO wouldn't make any new molds (new brick/color combinations are not taken into account) for 1 year? What do you think about that?

Welcome! That is a very nice introduction. Your page with that mechanical puzzle/sorting thing was interesting to read and see (with those animations). I also like SR3D Builder, well, I could say I'm a huge fan of SR3D Builder Welcome at EB and here in the Technic forum. Maybe you can also take a look at the LDD/LDraw forum here at EB, since your interests are there as well. I wish you a great time here.

Project Shipyard
legolijntje replied to Edwin Korstanje's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
So, what's the jackpot? No, just kidding. But, it sounds like a real cool project to work on. How many pieces does a set have? And will they be used inside their own company only, or are they going to sell it to everyone who wants one? -

Ah. It are a bunch of small models? The small picture you added above looks like a bunch of bags with the same content. Are you going to sell (in cooperation with the company) custom LEGO sets (the ship that's at the window)? -
Ah, I see what you mean. It's the paid version of SR3D Builder. SR3D Builder has a free and a paid version. The paid version has a bunch of extra features and things.

 You sure have eagle eyes -
I had a similar problem. I don't know if it was exactly the same, but in my case, there was a part that wasn't available in the countries I selected. So you can try if it works by selecting all countries, or by removing the problem piece. There isn't really a good error message that problem. If it doesn't work, something else is wrong and maybe mdoupe would have an idea

Well, it's very simple: if you win the rendering category, you can choose between a LDD brick (so you may choose a brick to be added to LDD) or a SR3D Registration code
-
So, I've finished the instructions. You can download the HQ version here (about 70mb) and the LQ version here (about 10mb). The HQ version is a bit oversized (page size), I had some wrong LPub settings, but I haven't fixed it yet. Maybe in the future. It's usable though, and if you print it, it's a normal A4 ratio I wasn't able to test them, so if anybody hasn't built the model yet, please test the instructions for errors Please let me know what you think about it

I have good news: If you win the rendering contest, you can now choose between a LDD brick or an SR 3D Builder Registration Code. This doesn't mean that there will be 2 winners in the rendering category, still one winner, but he/she can choose.

D3K's MOCs
legolijntje replied to D3K's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
D3K, instead of taking the whole set, you can also generate a .lxf with all the parts of a set with LDDmanager -
I still want to build this set, my collection has almost all the parts. I only need some yellow parts and two power puller wheels. The yellow pieces aren't a problem to buy, but the power puller wheels. I would like to buy them anyway, but it's almost cheaper to buy that 4x4 set that the wheels alone. I can buy the 4x4 set for about €100 on marktplaats.nl (Dutch eBay), but everytime another deal comes in the way. Well, one day, I will have those wheels and build the model

Bricklink--Where is My Cart?
legolijntje replied to VintageLegoEra's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
You can find your cart at the top of the category list on the left of a shop under the Briclink logo. The button says "View Cart" -
This topic makes me really wish that I had a Lego store in my country

Well, with micro I just mean small. You can use one of the micro standards if you like, that's your choice, but it it has (as the rules say) be smaller than minifig scale. I know about nano and micro, but midi? Never heard of it?

You may make a work in progres topic in the subforum it belongs in, just like any regular moc. When it's finished, you can add your entry in the correct entry topic

Well, please keep it to one home/house per person per category. You can of course make for example a dream house with an extra building for the guests. But, it should really be one home that would get only 1 street number
