  1. It's a Megablocks car! It can't be more unexpected than that!
  2. I've got Windows 8.1 for 2 weeks now, so I haven't installed POV-ray yet, but I had a similar problem using Brickficiency. What solved the problem for me was to run it as administrator. A more convenient solution would be to edit the read and write permissions if you don't want to run as administrator every time, but obviously that would creat a small security risk (although it's not really serious). You could do that (as administrator) by right clicking on the folder Program Files (or any other folder you want to edit) and go to the bottom of the list to properties and choose the tab Security. Then choose Edit and you can edit the permissions.
  3. @Palathadric Welcome back! You forgot 1 thing in your post, mention the errors, or if there aren't mention that there aren't any errors. @ashir Welcome to the LDraw model topic. Always nice to see new people Your entries look good. You could maybe try to eliminate a bit of the white parts around your images next time, but it's not too big of a problem. Have a nice time here in the topic and the other LDD and LDraw topics
  4. Hi betto, welcome to the forum Thanks for the compliments, I'm sure everyone who worked on this would appreciate it. At the moment there are no instructions for V5. I would like to build that version too, but we can't make any instructions because there's only a video of it. The builder said that he would maybe make an LDD file, so we could maybe make instructions, but that never happended. Life can be busy But... who knows what the future will bring.
  5. Hmm, that's quite strange... If you have admin rights on your pc, try running it as administrator (right click on the file and choose "Run as administrator"). But I doubt it will solve the problem, since you should have read and write acces in the my documents anyway... If you're really desperate, you could try to install the free Microsoft Acces runtime 2013 (make sure you choose 32 bit!) and see if it works then, but you can also wait if Superkalle (program author) has anything to say about it.
  6. Ok. Well, a quick google search on your error gave me this page. Are you sure you have both read and write privileges from the place you're running it? Try placing it in a folder such as "My Documents" and try it again (if you haven't already). Btw, do you have Windows Vista or Windows 7? Vista 7 doesn't exist
  7. It would be useful if you provide a bit more data, such as Microsoft Office Version (and if it's 32 or 64 bit), Windows version, LDD manager version etc.
  8. A better translation would be useful, since I don't really understand what you mean here Anyway, I'm following this topic since you started it and I have to say you're building an awesome crane keep up the good work!
  9. Yep, it can be an investment for sure. Sometimes I wish I bought 2 10179 Millenium Falcons. They were sold at the time for around €500, but you can sell them now on bricklink and Ebay for a lot over €1000....
  10. Ooh, GBC. I love GBC and I want to make GBC machines for years, but I for some reason I never started... Maybe a good plan for this new year
  11. Exactly as Horace says. And don't forget, you can always ask for help and advice here on EB
  12. Mine is white. As stated above, you can see everything very good.
  13. Those instructions look superb! Great job!
  14. You can upload files to Bricksafe.com. If you don't want anyone else being able to download the file, you would need his email
  15. I would like to repeat my very highly wanted feature, since I wanted to use it again yesterday. I want to be able to also blacklist some countries instead of only whitelisting countries. In my case, I don't mind where the sets come from, but I don't want USA, Canada and Austrialia, because of the high shipping costs. But, now I have to fill in all countries except those 3. That's quite annoying Furthermore, thanks for the program. after some trying, I managed to find a 2 vendor solution totalling (including shipping) at about $50. If I had done it manually using Bricklink, I would have been at around $100 (using Bricklink's "By Shop" feature) Another small point: I can't place the .exe in my program files folder. At least, it doesn't work correctly in there: after it calculated the solution, it doesn't save any html files (it doesn't save .bsx files from the wanted list either). I think it's some security feature in Windows 8, but has anyone a solution for it? I would like to save it at my other LDraw software.
  16. Well, the web has come a long way these days. e.g, have you seen this unreal-engine version for browsers? It useser WebGL, you can create suberb graphics with it, right in the browser. Ok, maybe that's a wrong example, that one is so new and modern it won't work in most browsers, but you get the point
  17. I qoute myself: So, there's not only a limited amount of Android devices, but also a limited amount of Apple devices
  18. I had this problem too, a long time ago. My brain is trying to remember what the problem/solution was, but I can't remember it I believe it had to do with fog, or background color or something like that that was too close and made the colors wrong. Or something like that, I can't remember
  19. That's a cool idea. I have the 8888 Idea Book, and I always wanted to do something with the technique used in that crane, but never had any good idea. This is a very nice one. Are you planning to make a version with non-lego drums, just for the sake of having a programmable drummer?
  20. Well, it's not only available on a limited number of devices, it's only available on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 and the 1st generation Nexus 7 (not even the second generation, that one could handle it for sure, since it has better hardware and the same screensize). What are they thinking at Lego? I can understand why they want to focus on tablets first, but only 2 devices This way you won't be able to get a lot of feedback.... The set comes with a normal instruction book. You can also download the normal book from the lego site.
  21. I would recommend something like this: Processor: AMD Athlon II 750K Boxed Motherbord: Gigabyte G.1 Sniper A88X Graphics Card: MSI R7850-2GD5/OC, or if you want 2 screens: Club3D Radeon HD 7870'13Series RAM: Crucial BallistiX Tactical BLT2C4G3D1608ET3LX0CEU SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB or 250GB HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 ST1000DM003 1TB Power Supply: Corsair Builder CX430 Bronze CPU Cooler: Gelid Solutions Tranquillo Rev.2 And choose a case you like. Make sure it's the ATX motherboard format and it can include 2.5 inch SSD or includes an SSD bracket, otherwise you can buy a seperate one. Optional: you can also include a CD/DVD reader if you want. You can also add a card reader if you want (for SD cards, MicroSD cards etc). This would cost about €500-€600. Of course, you can choose other parts. But this would be good enough for browsing internet, using LDD, maybe do some easy photoshopping and playing an game every now and then on medium settings. But, these are just my thoughts. You can make the machine even more simple (and cheaper), but that would be really minimal and only internet and a bit of LDD. This is more future resistent. Of course, the machine your friend recommended is even more future resistent Just wondering; will your friend build the thing?
  22. Thanks for notifing! There are some nice parts in there. Of course a lot of use were probably using some of these parts already as unofficial parts, but it's good to have them official now I'm wondering, did anyone ever used the huge Primo blocks?
  23. Well, there's nothing wrong with the 840 EVO, the original 840 had indeed some flaws, but the new EVO version is a lot better. There's nothing wrong with the TLC, wince Samsung has put a SLC cache in the EVO, for fast writing speeds. Reading speeds are just fast on the TLC itself. The 840 Pro has MLC, it may be a little faster and it can handle larger operations, but in everyday use, the 840 EVO is very good. You don't have to worry about TLC's lifespan either. Calculations and experiments show that the EVO ssd's have a lifespan of 15-20 years at heavy usage.
  24. The Samsung 840 EVO is the cheapest and one of the best SSD at the moment, you should not buy another one, unless you're a super-user. Btw, I have an 840 EVO 500GB myself since 3 days. You're right about the RAM, 8 or 12 gb would be good too. And it's not only the amount that counts, it's also the clock speed, something like 1200 or 1600 mHz would be nice, above that and you won't really notice a difference in everyday use (and LDD).
