  1. Well, slapstick won't be a problem. And, you can of course have a football pitch inside the house, if you like that
  2. I thought you wanted to make 3 seperate books? Anyway, I would really recommend to export to pdf instead to images, because the pdf is editable (adding pictures, removing certain parts, remove a border, replace a callout etc.). At least, when you have Adobe Acrobat Pro (like me).
  3. Does the debug-priceguid change when I load another .bsx? Because after I send the picture above, I ran another .bsx but I got an error (not your fault, I had a wrong part in there) and I quit the program and never ran it after that yet. So, here's the (possibly changed) debug-priceguide.txt. If needed, I can run it again with the first .bsx (the one that caused the problem), but I think I would get the same problem with another .bsx (haven't tried yet).
  4. What do exactly mean with combining the three truck parts? Btw, I'm also almost done with the SUV instructions, only some finishing touches
  5. Thanks Philo. The PNG export isn't an option for me, because I want to edit the pdf file a bit after it's generated and when LPub generates a pdf, all images, borders text etc. are seperate objects and can be edited. I thought I used standard page sizes... Well, I'll try a bit And, you were talking about cropping the pdf. Stupid I never thought about that. That's an easy solution too (I just tried it, but not with the software you lniked)
  6. I have a problem with some isntructions in LPUB. When I export the instructions to a pdf, I get a big white border at the bottom and right. It looks like this: Anyone knows what's the problem? Btw, I use these global settings: 0 !LPUB MULTI_STEP STEP_NUMBER FONT GLOBAL "Segoe UI Black,72,-1,5,87,0,0,0,0,0" 0 !LPUB CALLOUT INSTANCE_COUNT FONT GLOBAL "Segoe UI,36,-1,5,75,0,0,0,0,0" 0 !LPUB CALLOUT STEP_NUMBER FONT GLOBAL "Segoe UI,36,-1,5,75,0,0,0,0,0" 0 !LPUB CALLOUT ASSEM MARGINS GLOBAL 1.0000 1.0000 0 !LPUB CALLOUT BACKGROUND GLOBAL COLOR "#fff0bd" 0 !LPUB MULTI_STEP ASSEM MARGINS GLOBAL 1.0000 1.0000 0 !LPUB MULTI_STEP MARGINS GLOBAL 1.0000 1.0000 0 !LPUB ASSEM MARGINS GLOBAL 1.0000 1.0000 0 !LPUB MULTI_STEP SEPARATOR GLOBAL 0.04 #fff0bd 1 1 0 !LPUB CALLOUT BORDER GLOBAL ROUND #fff0bd 0 20 MARGINS 0.05 0.05 0 !LPUB CALLOUT BORDER GLOBAL ROUND #fff0bd 0 15 MARGINS 0.05 0.05 0 !LPUB PLI ANNOTATE FONT_COLOR GLOBAL "#000000" 0 !LPUB PLI ANNOTATE FONT GLOBAL "Segoe UI,22,-1,5,75,0,0,0,0,0" 0 !LPUB PLI INSTANCE_COUNT FONT GLOBAL "Segoe UI,26,-1,5,75,0,0,0,0,0" 0 !LPUB PLI PART MARGINS GLOBAL 0.5000 0.3000 0 !LPUB PLI MARGINS GLOBAL 0.0500 0.0500 0 !LPUB PLI BORDER GLOBAL ROUND #adedff 0 15 MARGINS 0.05 0.05 0 !LPUB PLI BACKGROUND GLOBAL COLOR "#adedff" 0 !LPUB PAGE BACKGROUND GLOBAL COLOR "#6be0ff" 0 !LPUB STEP_NUMBER FONT GLOBAL "Segoe UI Black,100,-1,5,87,0,0,0,0,0" 0 !LPUB PAGE DISPLAY_PAGE_NUMBER GLOBAL FALSE 0 !LPUB PLI MODEL_SCALE GLOBAL 2.0000 0 !LPUB ASSEM MODEL_SCALE GLOBAL 2.5000 0 !LPUB PAGE SIZE GLOBAL 29.7000 21.0000 0 !LPUB RESOLUTION GLOBAL 100 DPI
  7. Well, the loading bar that stopped made me think that the whole program was crashed. Not very user-friendly . But, in your previous (black) version, the loading bar did work quite well. Can't you reproduce the technique you used there?
  8. Nice! There's a cabinet here which has little metal pins in the side for holding the shelves. One day when I was using the cabinet, one of the pins got lost and the shelve wasn't able to stay flat on 3 pins... Gues what: I used a Technic pin in there Another one: I bought and ssd for my pc, but I forgot the ssd bracket. So, I made an ssd bracked from some plates and technic bricks and it's still holding it in there
  9. Interesting articles. I missed the first 2. Especially the first article got my attention, because I was planning on trying to do the same. I keep an eye on your site for the next parts. I'm curious how much (or if ) you earn on that pile of bricks
  10. Ok, I found another problem, with everything set to used, the quantitys are available in Europe. So, it can get past the download price guid step. Calculating 1 vendor and 2 vendor solutions works fine, but when it is calculating 3 vendor solutions, it goes very fast until at about 1/3. Then the loading bar stops. When I let it run, it goes to 4 vendor solutions after a few minutes, but then loading bar isn't working at all. It also isn't showing the "millions of solutions checked:". It's just empty after the "millions of solutions checked:"... I have to say though, it looks a lot better than the previous black window
  11. It doesn't ask for my password strange.... I closed the program and ran it again after I changed the login settings and then it does ask for my password. I still get the error from my previous post though... dvsntt has problems with a brown part, me too... EDIT: when I remove the brown, everything works here too. EDIT2: I think I may have found the problem: I was testing with only Europe selected. Every part I get an error isn't available (in the right quantity as a new part) in Europe. So, it gives an error. I need to test a bit more, but I think that is the problem. If it is, it would be nice if you could add some options, such as continue with the max. amount available, skip the part, stop the calculation etc. Sorry for the messy post
  12. Well, I have a problem too. I did a test-run on the inventory of 10124. When it's downloading the price guid, it gives this error after it searched for a bunch of stores: But, I can't login. The calculate window only has a username textbox, where's the password box?
  13. @Raulboy: your construction is impossible to build. The dark grey corner axles can't be put in those black frames with pin You could for example try to use this piece together with an axle.
  14. Well, it's a free-build and you may go as big as you want, but it would be nice if you can keep within 100x100. But 250x150 is ok, although remember: bigger is not necessarily better Yes, rendered images are allowed to present your MOC, but if you would like to participate in the rendering contest too, you should add your best image in the rendering entry topic. Yes, of course! Feel free to add all kind of details to your building No, that's a bit too much. A few non-existent purple bricks wouldn't be a problem, but a whole house out of purple... You can also just make it in a different color (and make a purple one for yourself if you like) Well, it depends... It still should be some kind of home. Take for example the entry that's already submitted in the free-build category: it's a pyramid, but it has a garage, kitchen etc. But that you wouldn't typically live in... What do you mean with that? Something that isn't very normal (like the pyramid), or something that you don't want to live in (like a room in a lava-lake without walls and roof)?
  15. No, certainly not! You may enter the category (or categories) you like. Yes, you may use the same model you used in the free-build or micro in the rendering. You could've read that in the category explanation
  16. Well, I think most people want pf. Since it's a quite small model, it doesn't have a lot pf so a lot of people can build the pf version That's a strange sentence...
  17. Well, there is no Linux version of LDraw. LDraw is (nowadays) only a parts-pack. The functions and easiness of using the LDraw bricks depends on the CAD/software you use (such as MLCad, SR3D Builder, LeoCad, BrickSmith etc.). In this case you use LDcad (which has a Linux version), but you could've also used in on your Windows too. It has nothing to do with the Linux. There's nothing wrong, just wanted to clarify a bit. I'm glad you're happy with your setup.
  18. Thanks everyone for your enthusiasm! Some answers to the questions so far: Well, it should be a home for you or me or anyone else as a human. So, you could make a spaceship (if you would like to live in a spaceship), but it shouldn't be some kind of warship with aliens on board: it should be a home. If it isn't clear enough (which is possible ), you can always send me or superkalle a pm with your idea to let it check if you're not sure. To enter, you post your entry in the correct entry topics. You can see them pinned too in the forum, just under this main topic: free-build, micro, rendering. You may also (if you want) post a topic of the model in the correct theme forum here on EB, but it won't have any impact on the contest, it's just like a normal moc you would show to the readers As the rules say, you may add a max of 6 images (around 800x600) in your entry post. You may link to more or higher resolution pictures. Its just to keep the entry topic clean and readable
  19. Thanks mdoupe, I'm sure this will be useful for a lot of people including me I was just wondering: will you continue to support and update the program when the new Bricklink arrives? I don't have any problems with the website...
  20. That looks cool. I like to idea to include some windows for some seasonal and other content
  21. Welcome! Welcome to the 2014 Eurobricks Digital Contest for Ldraw and LDD tools. This years theme is to create your LEGO dream home; build any kind of building or construction that you'd like to live in - house, cottage, bioshpere, tree house... This is the entry topic for the rendering category Please read the rules and post your model here. One entry per member per class. You may enter one MOC in each of thee three classes (free build, microscale and rendering) Entries are to be placed in the correct entry topic in this forum. Entries not in the correct entry topic are not eligible for voting. You may create a separate topic for your creation in the specific theme forum (i.e not in the Digital Design forum), but you should also place your entry in the entry topic. The entry post may be edited at any time up to the end of the contest, so feel free to make improvements if you wish. Entries are to consist of no more than 1 posted picture of 800x600 or smaller resolution. You may link to higher resolutions of course. A little Photoshop is allowed for the picture, but only white balance, background editing etc. The model itself should remain unchanged. You must share your digital file in the free build and micro-scale class. This is both to allow other people do judge your digital techniques when voting, but also to share in the spirit of the community. You don't have to share the file in the rendering class. On the other hand, in the rendering class, you must (if you win) share how you did the render (it doesn't have to be a detailed guide, but some tips and tricks at least). We reserve the right to disqualify any entry that does not follow these rules. ONLY POST ENTRIES IN THIS TOPIC! COMMENTS AND OTHER POSTS WILL BE REMOVED. If you want to show your model to other users and let them comment on your moc, just make a topic in the correct subforum like any other moc.
