  1. In the Master Index, Owning property Non licensed moc`s now have a different trade value, there is cultural and educational subcategories...
  2. I personally just "see" the License as the purchase cost for a unit in a wargame (and i think I can guess that is how Ska envisioned it, seeing his knack for wargames as well). If you loose the ship, it get`s scratched of the roster and it`s a gonner, BUY a new one. Which is my grief a bit with the system. I *personally* would scratch out the ruling of getting a new license for a sistership. This makes the game all about charging headlong with a small ship around the globe, because if it sinks, we do it for free again next month, and if it doesn`t, we make a good profit. This can cause very reckless `game playing`. This is a game aimed at long term, and the free replacement license can make it more of a sprint then a marathon. That is not to say that if you`re ship goes to the fishes, some compensation might be offered, like a small Class 0 (ZERO) ship for free. Basically a little fishing boat, which can be send on a bounty thingie to go fishing and the likes, that together with the free settlement can set you back on track to buy a new class 1 and work upwards from there. And nothing prohibits a player from pleading to his rulership to sponsor him a new vessel. Kamikaze`s probably won`t get sponsored, but those playing it carefully and thoughtfully might find themselves in favour of their respective governments. Buckaroo Banzai is your own fault, but a hurricane can be unforseen (okay, unless you sail right into the area`s it is expected to appear)... Just MY two cents
  3. Just saw the whole system for determing settlement trade value has changed, time to do some calculating again...
  4. Dear Felipe de la Manzana I have well received your letter for the request if I had some scientific experts here in Quinnsville that might aid you in your search of knowledge about the Ténotclaxcans native society. I have taken this letter to our local science counsil, to find a suitable doctor for your needs, our former foremost expert Lapzwanzer being all caught up in the secret of producing chocolate and not of much more use. Upon mine arrival in the residence where our small gathering of scientist work (well, it seemed the only work they actually do is tossing papers and maps all over the place), I have brought your request forth, and can now inform you that they have agreed to join you in your endeavours. I expect them to be all ready for the voyage towards Elysabethtown within a week`s time, and will send word forward as soon as they have boarded the ship heading your way. Yours sincerly Sir Thomas Smaugton Mayor of Quinnsville This build of a small scientist residence (which will be licensed as a `small residence` for the economics game) is the result of a collaboration between myself and Faladrin. This idea came about in february, as we both are members of the same trade company in the game, MAESTRO, making it a bit simpler to have `inter-factional relationships` to go about working this. Continued in the next part when the daring scientists will be send on their way :-)
  5. While our governments do not always have been looking eye-to-eye, It is with saddest feelings I write to the people of Oleon, My condolescenses in these sad times, Sir Thomas Smaugton Mayor of Quinnsville, Cocovia
  6. The part where "Willy" says `we're standing atop...' with the picture left me laughing, it played in my mind like a scene from the Simpsons or Family Guy where you suddenly get those silent and still images during a conversation in those sort of cartoons. Lovely story once more, and great build
  7. Last time we saw famous `first contact specialist` Your Honourable Doctor Atreides Lapzwanzer, he was entering a Mysterious Cave on a then unspecified location. However, in the meantime we have learned that the island is called `Cocovia`, or Chocolate Island by one of it`s mayor`s. But we never learned what happened inside that cave. Well, this... The professor received from the tribal chief, L`ulkoek`us, one of the treasures of the island, a sweet yet bitter substance called `chocolate`. This product, made from beans, is said to have a great effect on the moodswings of the female species. As presented by the calm demeanor of the chief`s wife, Boemsie-Boemsie. A pretty simple build actually, this one was made to be able to proceed the storyline for Quinnsville, centered around coffee and chocolate. The coffee coming soon(ish ish). Thnak god for the new Elves range and their chocolate bar ;-)
  8. Margot is eeerrrrrm one eeeeeerrrmmm big boned lady That`s a mighty fine ship of the line you build there matey, looking forward to see it for real, real soon
  9. Fantastic earthworks that blend in nicely with the scenery. remind me of the middle 18th century french indian wars
  10. Very nice house and I love the little boat! The scientists have been found, i`ll do my best to introduce them asap ;-)
  11. Fantastic, I adore it!
  12. Love how it`s incorporated in the `landscape` and that brick build cannon is very good looking as well.
  13. Awesome looking foliage and a very nice story, good work!
  14. Great job on the rigging, insane one on the ratlines
  15. She has a very sleek line, and I love the turntable use for the sides
  16. Inspired by some of those awesome `rebuild` Dimensions portals, I decided I would be pimping my own as well. And today, I finished my own, Welcome to Dale. This build represents one of the overbuild gatehouses seen through the various alleys in Dale from The Hobbit. A bit of a "drawback" is that it had to be build quite robust and not to high centered in weight, to prevent it toppling the toypad over of course, and to be able to insert figures easily in the central game slot. I couldn`t resist inserting the `keystones` like on the normal portal, and of course X-PO needed to be included as well (though after testing it with the game, I had to have him switch sides, as I usually have the toypad to my left and I would keep bumping into him). And here is the portal in full action:
  17. In my eyes, it`s a sharp sword for pirates. If they attack an escort destined for the Queen, they can expect a retaliating fleet of Ships of the Line. (or so I hope)
  18. Why not, if they hunt me, the big convoys are safe
  19. Name: Quinnsville Ownership: Sir Thomas Smaugton of Corrington Location: Queens bay, Cocovia Mayor: Sir Thomas Smaugton Who can own property in Quinnsville: Everyone Who can freebuild in Quinnsville: Everyone Quinnsville
  20. This month, the Green Dragon will gladly give it`s place up to other endeavouring traders, as I will not be joining a flotilla I`m going to risk the banana run with it`s limited 2 stops only.
  21. "Dear senor Felipe de la Manzana, I look forward to receiving your friend here in Quinnsville, and will happily receive you and your friend to our small colony. I have send message to a local group of anthropologists and other scientific minds, to be ready to assist you in any way one you arrive and settled in. Yours sincerly Sir Thomas Smaugton, Mayor of Quinnsville, Queens Bay, Cocovia"
  22. Okay, just wondering as a hamlet would be modified by 0.9, but the larger ones go to 0.3 etc, severly diminishing Trade values how bigger they go But then i know for sure to calculate my own, thnaks for the confirmation
  23. Great way of expanding the build, I really love that idea
  24. As far as I know, 5 per MOC located there and then factoring in the trade modifier
