[MOD] Dodge T-Rex 6x6 Friends Edition
MRP_ replied to KirTech LAB's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
So I know that everyone has just admitted that Ideas is stupid and rigged, and this model uses sbrick, but if you made a version with normal ir recievers, would you consider aubmitting it? We could have jim make a poll to see how many guys on the forum would support it, (maybe even frontpage it) and if lots of people do, well, then... Also Sariel please don't smite me I know you say it's pointless but we might as well try :\- 24 replies

Factory Production Process Simulation - HELPS!
MRP_ replied to sckam's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
If you want it to be automated, I would reccomend the mindstorm ev3, or the nxt it doesn't really make a difference. And if you want it to be rc, a set with a great selection of pieces for this purpose would be the 42030 RC front end loader. It has a good variety of motors, u-joints, linear actuators, and loads of other usefull parts. -

You know, with everyone talking about the bad functions, I think I'm going to build the body, and just stick it on a 9398 chassis with some XL motors, and just be done with the gearboxes and steering angles. I kind of think it would be hilarious if everyone just took this, and treated it as we treat the unimog, and just cover it with atatchments, and stick motors in it and add PTOs and pneumatic systems, just to screw with TLG And also all the non technic guys on the forum now I think about it . -

Well it's good to know I'm not alone, I agree with you completely. I used to think I wanted it for the parts, but after thinking about it, and realising the rims are'nt compatible with any other tires, I no longer know why I want it so bad, yet it's still number 1 on my wish list... -

Here's the embedded version if anyone wants Just finished watching, interesting packaging, putting bags in boxes in a box. Odd they'd print a specific "module" on the box, but have multiple modules in the box, and still have all the bags labeled the same, confusing... -

MRP_ replied to tomek9210's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Yeah they look nice! Kind of remind me of an R8, I like it! Lookin good so far! If you have any red versions of those green pieces in the front though, you might want to switch them out, they kind of stick out. -
3D printed offset uminog wheels
MRP_ replied to TheNextLegoDesinger's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Looks good, maybe the little star points should be a little wider, have you had any problems with them? Also, do they work with portal hubs, or is there too much offset to reach? Edit- typo -

Like a kind of minimap? Possibly, looks like it but that would be quite strange... Edit- invalid information -
[WIP] 1963 Corvette
MRP_ replied to JamesJT's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Might want to change the tires too... I would remove the suspension, if you're going for speed and aren't going on rough surfaces no suspension has been fine in my experiences. It saves space, and lets you do more with the bodywork. Even if you only removed the live axel, that would give you much, MUCH more space. looks good! -

Strange that it would be faster with a clutch than without, but maybe I just don't really have that great understanding of these things... Either way super cool man! -
Efferman's Custom Parts
MRP_ replied to efferman's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
It's still plastic, and usually 3D printing is weaker than injection molding, but in the case of slipping, compared to it's official counterpart, it would definetely slip less. (As in the axel hole spreading out and the axel spinning inside the joint on the original) -
Large travel super flex suspention 4 L motors rock crawler
MRP_ replied to midengineaddict's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Did you buy the peices individually, or did you just buy 2 crawlers? Or do you just have a large collection? It just seems like it's made of lots of peices that would come in the crawler...- 47 replies

Well, everyone is talking about how this is so dissapointing, but it seems that everyone is forgetting that this seems to be more of a show model, plus I think that even if it doesn't function great, it's still worth it for the parts, imo -
