Previously story : Port of Barqa This is the old church of Norvica and it was build a long time ago by free slaves and most of them were born in the Lowlands. The little village of Norvica is adjacent on the oil road somewhere between Barqa and Mophet. This must be the church were Abdel Harbori, the commander of harbour guard, was talking about with the two brothers Michael and Leopold in the port of Barqa. When the brother hear about the name of the village Norvica they were very glad because their own village in the Lowlands was called Norvicus !! "This must be the place we are looking for !!" said Michael "I hope that we can find our father in that village or at least someone who know something about him !!" The two brother are planning a trip to Norvica and i think their quest is going to have a happy end, because they do not known that the priest of the old church of Norvica is called "Brother Conelus" and the name of their father they remember is "Cornel" Look on Flickr for more pictures !!

For this kind of MOC's i joint Kaliphlin last year, medieval building style with arabic influence. The composition of the buildings is great and i like the two colored rockwork. Great job !!!

You have used some interesting building technics here, i like the stonework and the tan roof. Great MOC !!!

Fantastic MOC, the landscape looks great to me. Especially the sand made of curved bricks is great. The fortress has great stonework and i like the use of dark red in it.

Previously story : Journey to Historica After a long journey on a fishing boat, Leopold and Michael arrived in the port of Barqa. All their luggage are put on the quay of the harbour. "Where shall we go to continue our quest? We have to find a guide or something." Michael said to Leopold. On that moment a commander of the famous city guard of Barqa is walking to the two brothers. "Hello strangers, my name is Abdel Harbori, i am the commander of harbour guard, can i help you ?" The two brothers are a little bit suprised by the commander because he looks rigorous but he talks very friendly. Leopold said "We are going to visit our family who lives here in Kaliphlin" He did not want to tell him that they are looking for their father who was sold as a slave, because he don't know on what side the commander stand. On board of the fishing boat the captain told them about a civil war, so they better be careful what they are going to say. "There are a lot of different people who lives in Kaliphlin, where are you coming from?" the commander asked. "We are coming from the Lowlands, thats a land far away to the northwest of Historica" Michael said. The commander smiled and said "I know a few people who come from the Lowlands too !!! Very nice people." "Where do they live ?" asked Leopold "I don't know exactly where they live, just follow the oil road to Petraea then you pass a little village with nice church build in a tipical architecture." The commander said. "Have fun in Kaliphlin !!!" Michael and Leopold want to buy some horses and the need a guide, but first they admire the beautiful city of Barqa. This part of the harbour is only for fishing boats and boats who carry food. So in this part of Barqa are a lot of merchants who sell there merchandise on the street. This is Tarik Tunas who is a fishermen, he catching the fish in the night and sells them on the streets in the morning. This man wants to buy some fish of Tarik and ask him if he want to clean and filleting them. That is no problem for Tarik, he can do it in a minute. Look at this men in his purple suite, this is Sheik el-Paraffin. He has a good business in oil. He just buy some vegetables with his cook who must carry all the stuff. This is Talut el-fruit and his wife Ananas, one of the best greengrocers of Barqa. He always makes a lot of fun when he is selling his fruit. Have you seen the new lighthouse with the latest invention ?? We all know the big lighthouse of Barqa situated on a small islet outside the mouth of the Arkbri river (made by Gideon) always using a big fire !! But this lighthouse has only one oil lamp and behind it there are a few curved mirrors to make the light bigger !!! Isn't that great !! Barqa is using both lighthouses, this little lighthouse is especially designed for the little fishing harbour and the big one is for the other harbours. Have you meet the womans of Barqa already ?? Look how pretty they are !!!!

Thanks for the nice words, the background is a moc that is almost ready and it is a part of the quest of the two brothers. In Port of Barqa commander Abdel Harbori of the famous city guard of Barqa is talking about a a little village with nice church build in a tipical architecture. The background where you guys talking about is a part of that church, so have patients and you can see that church soon here at the guilds.

I want to introduce : Leopold Leopold and his brother Michael grow up in the Lowlands, a land far away from Historica, and when they where young some viking boats arrived near the village and attacked them. There was a complete chaos, vikings killed people and plunder the houses, after that they burned everything. A lot of citizen flee to the forest and survived, but most of the men died or became prisoners. The vikings take the prisoners with them and sold them as a slave in other country's. Leopold and his brother Michael where lucky, they survived the viking attack together with their grandparents. But there was sad news too, their mother died and they couldn't find a body of their father. So he must be with the vikings as a prisoner. But lives goes on and the survivors of the big viking slaughter must rebuild the village, there was no time to mourn. Leopold and Michael made a promise to each other, that the are going to rescue their father when they are old enough to travel alone. And this is his brother Michael Leopold and Michael where educate by their grandparents and there was peace and harmony in the village after the rebuild. But Leopold and Michael forgot the promise they made because of the good life. The grandparents did a good job but they are getting old and one day grandfather died in his sleep. Grandmother missed him so much that she don't want to life without him, she became ill and was laying in bed all day. She feels that her time on earth has come and her last conversation was with Leopold and Michael. "I know you guys made a promise to find your father and free him" she said. "when i am dead there is nothing here in the Lowlands why you boys must stay here, you both are strong men now so go and find him but be very careful" "There where rumors" she told the guys "there where rumors that the viking traveled to a land called Historica" "I know that your father is there somewhere, I can feel it" The brothers are a bit confused by these words of grandma, they are a bit ashamed that they forgot the promise they made when they were young. But good old grandmother knew it all the time. "What about grandfather, does he knew it too about the promise?" asked Michael to his grandmother. "Yes my son, he knew it too" she said "First he wanted to do it by himself, but when we rebuild the village he was feeling old and want to give all his energy to teach his grandsons all he knows" "I told grandfather about the promise you made to each other" grandmother continued "and grandpa was very proud when he heard that" "So the boys are going to do the job" he said. "I must go now" grandmother said. "Where are you going?" asked Leopold. "I go to your grandfather, i miss him so much" she said and there where tears in her eyes. Leopold and Michael must cry too, it was time to say goodbye. "I love you so much, both of you and i am very proud that i might be your grandmother" and the boys give their grandmother the biggest hug they have ever given. A few minutes grandmother died and after they bury her, Leopold and Michael prepared for a big journey to a land called Historica !!

Hello guys, I want to show you my first pirate moc, most of my mocs are castle mocs. I made this moc for a contest from lowlug, you must make a moc based on a official lego set but you must change the theme. The pirate moc i made is based on a friends set, it is set 41019 turtle's little oasis. And this is my moc and it is called : pirate's little oasis. Great MOC and i like the sand !!!

Thanks for the tips, I agree my pictures can be a lot better. The problem is that i use lamps who are standing in the living room, and the colors are a bit yellow. I also use a white sheet as a background, look at the original picture below. And i use GIMP to change the background, i must try more options of GIMP to change the colors a bit like BrickCurve said. That i think is the easiest way. The purple torso is from Ori the dwarf, you can find him in set 79010 the goblin king battle. I used his head also in this moc for Talut el-fruit the greengrocer. Thanks for the complments, the two brothers are not vikings but more like batavians. They are looking for their dad who was a prisoner of the vikings and he was sold as a slave in Kaliphlin.
