Hi all, I have been putting together a list of some of the highlights of Sci-Fi from the last year. Any suggestions for ones I have missed, or ones that I should remove from the list? Thanks!

Oops! Thanks for noticing that.

There certainly were a lot! This list is getting a lot longer than I expected! Thanks for the suggestions, I have edited them in. They truly are amazing builds!

Thanks! Thanks for the suggestions, I have added the first one in, however I have been having trouble linking the other two.

Thanks for your kind words everyone! Thanks for the suggestions LJ, I have edited all of them in!

Very impressive! Among many other parts of it, I particularly like how the pyramid is framed by the trees, it really looks great!

Book II Chal V Cat A Riders of Historica Alliance Side: Ambush in the Firs
BrickCurve replied to Brickwolf's topic in Guilds of Historica
Good job! I think a few more flower stems would really improve the landscaping though. Aside from that, I agree with Faladrin, a bit ,ore a a back story would be really good! -
Book II - Challenge V - Catagory A: Riders of Historica - Spire Side - Outpost Ambush
BrickCurve replied to SodorBricks's topic in Guilds of Historica
Nice one! Some suggestions; I think an irregular base, or perhaps a border of some description would really improve it. Also, some more leaves in that tree would be good as well. Overall, good job!- 17 replies

En Egliam: Celebrating five years of GoH!- Prelude
BrickCurve replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
Brilliant prelude and MOC! I think I might be giving this one priority challenge V... -
That's very good news! For dusting of large parts, I have found that a "Giottos Rocket Blower" (available from most decent camera stores) is really effective for removing dust from tricky to access parts. It doesn't get as much dust off as using a brush, but it is certainly a lot quicker!

Looks brilliant! Everything form the shaping and colour usage, to the snow landscaping is perfect! It could be so easily repurposed into something for GoH...

Looks good! I think the main thing that could be improved would be to add some vines or masonry profile bricks (like the ones you used for the chimney) into the walls. It would make them feel much more weathered and natural. Overall, good job!

[MOC] CCC14 - Clarendon Castle
BrickCurve replied to Mark of Falworth's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Absolutely stunning work! I think this might just be your best castle yet! -
There are some great sets in there! Its a pity the enchanted island base is so yellowed. I hope you find all the parts!

An Autumn version of one of my previous creations. I really should be building for Brickvention MOC but I really wanted to use my new LUGbulk parts! Now that Summer has drawn to a close, one of the oldest retirees of the Avalonian military has further settled down into his quiet retirement home on the coast of the southern part of Avalonia.

Thanks! The season change was inspired by one the SK6 did a while back. I have been meaning to use the idea for a while but only just got round to it. I don't gave time to do all four seasons unfortunately, I need the parts for a convention MOC for early January next year! Thanks! Glad getting those olive reeds in what at first appeared ridiculous quantities was worthwhile!

Just looked through my history and they were all http:// EDIT: The two spam threads I saw in general discussion today were http:// as well.
-
Just a thought; I noticed that quite the last batch of spam I saw (and reported) have all had URLs as the topic title. Perhaps flagging posts that use a URL in the title for double checking by moderators would help? I certainly can't remember seeing a non spam thread with a URL as the title!

Brilliant job SK! Out of all the impressive details, one that stands out for me the most is the orange? roof- that technique looks surprisingly excellent! What colour exactly is the roof, I can't quite tell.

Nice one, I like how you made the well, the smooth sides suit work really well.

Nice one! I actually really like the big trees, though I think to make them fit in a bit more, you would need to add bit more foliage to make the canopy on the same scale as the tree trunk. Also, for next, try adding a desk lamp to your photos setup, it would hep make the photos a bit brighter so it would be easier to see the detail. Overall, great job!
