THE PIRATE BAY IS GOING TO BE AN OFFICIAL LEGO SET!!!!

At first glance, I was disappointed because I was expecting a carbon-copy of the awesome fan made version. After looking at the official images closer, I'm more than excited now. Day 1 purchase for sure...that's if my Lego store will be open during Washington state's 2 week Stay Home order :( I only wish they had used a classic blue baseplate instead of the cyan blue

THE PIRATE BAY IS GOING TO BE AN OFFICIAL LEGO SET!!!!

Interesting - Lego just made an Instagram post asking which pirate set is your all time favorite? Along with a pic of the 1994 pirate ship set. I smell an Ideas Pirate Bay announcement any day!

THE PIRATE BAY IS GOING TO BE AN OFFICIAL LEGO SET!!!!

This set was announced almost a year ago as one of the next Ideas set, but I haven't heard anything about it since then. Does anyone have any news with regards to this set? https://ideas.lego.com/projects/fcf1dec0-bdf7-48c7-9da7-95fd68e41480
  6. When I think 'classic,' I was expecting Ice Planet, Aquazone, Castle, Town, etc. Hard to call these Minifigures classic imo

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors

The fact that it was sold out before Oct 1 launch tells me that the demand was greater than they realized. The current number of sets over the $100 mark on the market right now seems higher than usual - people aren't afraid to spend money on large sets. I didn't mean to come off so whiny, fellas. I do, however, work in chemical manufacturing and have an idea of how production works and allocating resources ;)

    75192 - UCS Millennium Falcon 2017 MOD/MOC

I got the Lego 2017 Holiday Catalog in the mail today. 75192 Millennium Falcon was completely omit from it. I'm not expecting it to be available again until 2018. How possibly hard can it be to ramp up production for a particular set!?

This is a fantastic rendition of the new challenger !!! :D
  11. I changed my mind. I saw this beast at the Lego store in San Jose, and I must have it https://ibb.co/e9ntgv https://ibb.co/evhXrv https://ibb.co/cFUqda Interestingly, the employee said that Lego shipped it to them prebuilt.
  12. That's a lot of money for a lot of grey pieces. I look at it like this - I could buy 2 Ninjago cities, have $200 in my back pocket, and have 9,800 (versus 7,500) much more interesting/colored parts. (One model for display, one for parts pack) If one looks at it from a pure PPP ratio, this is not a great deal. Just because it says "Star Wars" on it does not mean I should pay a ridiculous premium for licencing. Aesthetical, IMO, the MF is just an ugly ship, compared to the rest of SW vehicles. The B-wing might be a bunch of grey pieces too, but it's a more interesting design. This is also too massive to display, unless one has a dedicated Lego room. It's 2 feet wide and 3 feet long. I don't, and that reason alone makes this an easy decision.

    LEGO Ninjago 2017 Discussion

I do not care for Ninjago whatsoever, but the designers did a good job of making this set appealing regardless. Day one buy, I'm looking forward to displaying this masterpiece

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors

UCS Snowspeeder is great model and worthy of the UCS badge (unlike insult on Hoth.) Couple of comments; 1. Very fragile, especially because of the ball joints and rubber bands providing tension for the bottom of the wings. Definitely not swooshable because there's really no great way of holding it. Patience must be exercised during build 2. EDIT: I made a huge mistake here and forgot to push 2 pins in. Still a little wobbly, but much more supportive now..oops lol. The base is complete garbage a does not provide adequate support, and is extremely wobbly. Too top heavy, it leans a good 10 degrees to the right. Tomorrow's project will be building better support stand for the Snowspeeder UCS millennium falcon is happening
