I hope we get a remake of 75167 or something soon. Even if the versions in it aren't quite as good as the executor ones, it's been quite awhile since the last time most of these hunters were readily availible. Zuckuss has never been easy to get ahold of. Quote
Lobot Posted July 15 Posted July 15 Bossk looks absolutely incredible - every detail is just about perfect! Hopefully, the other minifigures will be of a similar quality - I'm really looking forward to seeing the first images of them. It will be interesting to see if they re-use the new Boba Fett from 75455 or if there's a new (correct) ESB version planned - I hope they will for such a high-end set, but time will tell. 10221 was one of my favourites when it was first released, but with the double the part count, new elements and improved building techniques the new version should be in a totally different class from it! I've been disappointed by most of the new sets this year, but it looks like 2026 is ending on a high point! Quote

But who cares, we got a Rogue One set boys! Now Lego. You know what you have to do. Give us the TIE Fighter strong enough to fight both X-Wing and Y-Wing at the same time. This makes me hope that either the Endor BP price is wrong or there is a 5th minifig. Being the Concept Art Stormtrooper. There appears to be quite a bit of muddling with the leaks so far. I’m confused on this. Surely Yoda should have a poster not a minifig due to being a display set. It also means we have to worry about quite a few more 18+ sets for Solo, M&G and the ST taking up beautiful set slots. We also got news on Starfighter set age ranges. Yeah that 12+ is 1000% a Buildable droid. Quote
Tariq j Posted July 17 Posted July 17 Finally a Mon Mothma figure! And a new mould for Carbonite Han, the existing piece has held up really well (despite being 16 years old) so it’ll be interesting to see how they top it. Quote
Lobot Posted July 17 Posted July 17 I'm delighted to hear that we're getting a new Cloud City set! I already had high hopes for 2027 with the news of the Bespin Duel set, but this could take it to a new level! For anyone that hasn't found the leak, 95494 will include Leia, Han, Boba Fett, Darth Vader, Concept Art R2-D2 and a new Han in Carbonite! Hopefully it will be a playset, rather than a diorama, but either way it will be a day 1 purchase for me! Quote

For whatever reason the statues get figs, I guess. 1 hour ago, Lobot said: I already had high hopes for 2027 with the news of the Bespin Duel set, but this could take it to a new level! This is (mostly) excellent news: Female Luke is a good choice for the maxifig Luke- it's a novel figure, but it's not one of THE designs people think of, at least for me. You can still have a "full set" of mcquarrie figs without picking up the maxifig. Vader being moved to the bespin duel is excellent as well, as is the confirmation chewie is coming- even if it's in a yoda statue. This is definitely looking like an expensive January. I'm 100% buying at least the duel and the Y-wing, and I may pick up Mustafar as well if the build is good. I share @CloneCommando99's hopes that we just got bad info on the Endor set and it's actually got more figs or something, because right now in terms of the normal playsets it sounds like we have 5 hydrogen bombs and an overpriced coughing baby, so to speak. That said, I believe both the figure and ship are the TCW versions, not the CW2003 versions, so it's not all that relevant to the actual product. And in the case of it being an ANH anniversary, it makes even more sense, seeing as there were no force ghosts- at least, not ones we could see- until TESB. Yeah, Ventress is definitely based on her TCW look. Don't know about the ship. My memory of the TW show is rather limited at this point. Let's just hope we got another Count Dooku minifigure within, I don't know, at least this decade. Yes, exactly. All things considered, this route has been perfectly suitable. Lego is basically pulling an old Harrison Ford, if you catch my meaning. On 7/13/2026 at 9:10 PM, BrickBob Studpants said: Starfighter is rumoured to get 3 sets in its first wave! Sounds about right It is the first non-saga non-spin-off movie, after all, so being cautious makes sense! I honestly never got this unwavering optimism in here when it was believed this movie would get a full wave like the first and only Disney movies before the big break. To see Lego being a little bit more cautious by now (or it just fell victim to the anniversary) makes perfect sense to me. The updated set list is music to my ears. At last, a modern Cloud City based Lando in an approachable play set! And some actual desirable minifigs for the Y-Wing like it's supposed to be. Just a friendly reminder to ourselves that we're very much in the moment when judging these first leaks at hand. We're sometimes walking a fine line between initial impressions and unfairly pre-judging stuff. Quote
Kaijumeister Posted July 17 Posted July 17 This all sounds astonishingly good to me! - Mon Mothma in the Y-Wing is an excellent choice. - Concept Vader is indeed included in the Bespin Duel and not the Buildable Luke set, hooray! - A Cloud City set too? This deal is getting better all the time. - Called it that Mustafar will be a combined play and display set. 372 pieces means it has the potential to be a nice looking set - as a point of reference the similarly priced Paz Viszla vs. Moff Gideon set was 289 pieces. - With Concept Chewie confirmed to appear in the buildable Yoda set, that just leaves the Stormtrooper. Hopefully to be included in the Endor Battle Pack. Overall, for us playset fans 2027 sounds like a huge improvement over 2026 already. I’m happy for the Remnant AT-AT, Offworld Sandcrawler, and Cobb’s Speeder being the only Star Wars sets I buy this year knowing next year will be far better. Now, if someone could confirm that General Anakin figure will be as good as Obi-Wan… Quote
Brickify Posted July 18 Posted July 18 Very satisfied that we’re finally getting some cloud city sets seeing as LEGO barely touches on it hopefully lando comes with the same beautiful cape he has in the MBS set.Was hoping the concept stormtrooper would be there it’s a cool design plus we need the canon versions to also be made but I’m happy with the concept Vader.Hoping anakin gets a updated hair piece in the duel set I feel like it’s overdue. They have yellow cockpits in the 2008 TCW show but black ones in the 2003 CW show. So definitely all 2008 TCW based, and I was just correlating them in my mind as both having originated from the 03 show (along with clone armor Obi-Wan, albiet- like ventress and the ship- a different design for the concept). Though to be fair, it wouldn't be the first time lego's randomly done a clone wars 03 set. I think Dooku's odds are increasing with every new update we get about the coming sets. It really seems like lego is giving this anniversary the celebration it deserves, so so long as we can get one geonosis set or some sort of clone trooper vehicle, he's got a shot. 3 hours ago, Kaijumeister said: This all sounds astonishingly good to me! - Mon Mothma in the Y-Wing is an excellent choice. - Concept Vader is indeed included in the Bespin Duel and not the Buildable Luke set, hooray! - A Cloud City set too? I think those extra 83 pieces are a fair trade-off for the set being down a fig compared to Paz vs Gideon, and they'll certainly make a much more substantial build than the 2020 set's 200 pieces. I am going to lose my entire wallet in 2027. I'm going to have to rob a lego store or something. 29 minutes ago, Brickify said: Very satisfied that we’re finally getting some cloud city sets seeing as LEGO barely touches on it hopefully lando comes with the same beautiful cape he has in the MBS set.Was hoping the concept stormtrooper would be there it’s a cool design plus we need the canon versions to also be made but I’m happy with the concept Vader.Hoping anakin gets a updated hair piece in the duel set I feel like it’s overdue. With only 3 figs in the $40 duel set I would hope they give Anakin and Obi-Wan both some needed updates, but I suppose the $45 ahsoka fighter really only had one new fig they went all-out on, and presumably mustafar's most detailed fig will be Concept Han. Hopefully they splurge a little more on the fig budget for these- I feel like a lot of the 2024 sets had figure count/budgets that were already reasonable before adding the anniversary fig. I'm going to make a prediction on that cloud city set- given the figures included and the figure count, it's going to be one of those $55ish playsets like Peridea or Boarding the Tantive, and will primarily be a build of the dining room. ArrowBricks Posted July 18 Posted July 18 Plenty to think about for next year! I am feeling way more optimistic now, particularly with the Y-Wing, and the Bespin sets assuming they do connect. I hope we get Leia in her Bespin outfit during the action scenes as we have never gotten that before. I really do like the buildable characters, albeit not at the expense of traditional playscale sets. I was really confident about the Boba, and I am again about Yoda. I personally think the concept Chewbacca is one of the most exciting ones so that’s an added bonus there. At the moment, the Mustafar Duel, Tribute to Lucas, and Buildable Yoda are very likely purchases. I eagerly await the Endor BP, Anakin’s JSF, and the Bespin sets (x2), which I note as of writing are the playscale sets (shock, I have too high a bar). While there are significantly more sets in January-May than the previous years, this is the most sets I have been wanting in the first half of the year for a very long time now. I do also like the sound of the Vader art and I might be tempted with the Cinema, at a discount. Concept Art minifigures, movie posters, and one-off sets (Movie theatre, George Lucas Tribute, art sets - I guess?), is certainly a stacked roster, even before considering the normal sets! I’d love them to do something out that is novel in the second of the year for the Anniversary, even something relating to the movie posters and how they might interact. Naturally they’ve ticked the boxes with the Theatre (which many will utilise and display and change their movie posters throughout the years), and others will collect them and make something themselves, but I’d like to see something at a smaller price point that makes me and others want the Posters. Perhaps a home cinema vignette? There’s a definite theme with Anakin isn’t there, which makes complete sense. Unless, I am mistaken, the only sets from that Jan 26 leak that we don’t know for sure are coming are the Bounty Hunter Pursuit (even more Anakin), Ewok Village, and the smart play sets. I think we can all safely assume that these are coming, though. Intrigued by what comes later on, and what else in store from an Anniversary perspective. The confirmation of Sequel movie posters suggests some stuff from that. I would expect to see a TPM set with Anakin. We also know that Starfighter has 3 sets, so the number of stuff in the summer is always dwindling! I would also expect to see some mid-scale ships and busts, too. I won’t speculate further as that goes into the Wishlist thread. Oh, and just to add - the movie posters are exciting. Let’s hope the quality is good! Quote
Lobot Posted July 18 Posted July 18 I've just noted that Darth Vader is listed in both 75494 (Cloud City) and 75480 (Bespin Duel) so I doubt that they'll be designed to be connected together. It's a bit of a shame if that's correct, as a modular-type approach could have worked well, but it's still excellent news that we're getting them! I'm particularly excited by the prospect of the new Cloud City, as with 5(+) minifigures it should be a decent size - after having so few Bespin-related sets I really don't mind how expensive it is! Quote
Meaf Posted July 18 Posted July 18 The new info is pretty exciting, definitely interested in both of the Cloud City sets, Mustafar, and perhaps the Y Wing as well. 2 hours ago, Lobot said: I've just noted that Darth Vader is listed in both 75494 (Cloud City) and 75480 (Bespin Duel) so I doubt that they'll be designed to be connected together. Yeah this is something I'm confused about too. I can't imagine any reason why they'd release too sets that are part of the same location in one wave and not design them to go together, even if there's not a physical connection. The distribution of the Vaders is weird too, I always felt like including him and the concept version in the same set was a bit odd, even if they're ultimately two distinct designs. And now that we have this new info I also find it strange that regular Vader apparently comes in both the duel and the other set, cause to me it'd make more sense to throw in someone else (even just a storm trooper if the budget isn't there) and have it so you don't get two Vaders for buying two sets that you'd obviously want to display together. The only thing I can think of is that they felt like they had to put him in both because he's essential to both scenes, which would imply that the new set is at least partly the dining room, but then why is Carbonite Han also here??? Maybe it's just the Dining Room and the Freezing Chamber but that sounds like it'd be pretty big and I don't remember the last time Lego did a big location set in the January wave. Perhaps it'll all make sense soon but for now I find it a little puzzling. Quote
