Mando and Grogu are boring and one-dimensional characters. Does anybody really care about Mando? And who's even wearing that costume and helmet most of the time? Grogu is cute, sure, but by now people had enough time to buy a plushie and isn't that the purpose of Grogu's existence in the first place? I am sorry, but I'd never pay money to watch such a movie in cinema. Every time a new show or movie is announced I hope for good Lego sets, but it's, well..., LEGO, so I end up being disappointed most of the time

Maybe then it would have been better to drop the spreadsheets altogether and concentrate on mocs and stories, but keep the game going. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to blame anybody!! There is a picture on reddit (already acouple days old) of May's BAM minifigs and one of the torsos looks useful for a pirate. Also the sextant seems to become a BAM accessoire.

The hat looks interesting! Hopefully it will work like any other hat Fingers crossed! When will the series be released?

I was born in the early 80s and grew up with all the classic themes, mainly I was playing with Pirates, Castle and Town every kriffin day! I was not interested in Space very much back then, but still had some sets. I still remember the base plate with the molded craters very well. I was building hugh castles, utilizing every single brick I owned (and the ones my brother owned). And I liked to build a small town where light & sound would provide some safety for the road construction sites. Oh and I liked to build pirate ships! Anyway, what I want to say is, that not everybody is affected by nostalgia as I think that everything we have today is far superior to the bricks and minifigs I was playing with as a kid. Nowadays we have more colors, a truckload of different bricks and pieces that boost your mocs and most important to me - much better fleshy minifigs. I'd pick Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, POTC, LOTR and of course Star Wars over everything I had as a kid! Not because I lack the imagination as some fans of the classic themes might think but because all of the new licensed stuff - the bricks and pieces and minifigs - provide the best foundation for my mocs.

Unfortunately there's some red printed on the bottom of the musician's torso, that reduces the versatility. The Monster Hunter on the other hand is a great minifig and will be very useful in a Pirates environment.

I found the minifigure series 29 in my local supermarket and bought a handful of boxes today. None of the apps had the series listed so far. At least none was working so I opened the boxes because I couldn't wait One of them was the musician. Here's a better look of the torso:

Your blatant hate towards everything that is not Lego is blinding you. You are spreading hate in this forum for years now and I wish you would stop echoing the same hateful statements over and over again. The "private individual" as you call him is the founder of the modern Kiddcraft company and the owner of the trademark. Lego never owned the Kiddicraft trademark. He knows more about the whole process than anybody else I have heard or read since I left my dark ages in 2018. From designing a set, creating new molds, creating new minifigs, printing, packaging, logistics & transport, pricing, protected parts and patents, legal basis and many more topics. He speaks openly about all these topics in his videos. And he certainly has more expertise on these subjects than most people on this planet. Surely more expertise than the haters.

Did Lego ever had a soul in the first place? The world was just much smaller in the 80s and 90s and licensing is much bigger nowadays. At least from my perception.

Yeah, you are right! It makes no sense to measure the average play time when one kid playes for hours with the smart brick and 100 kids play for one minute with the smart brick until they find it boring Maybe I don't understand kids at all, but I can not imagine one kid playing the cantina sound more than a couple times Or babbling minifigs? Even Light & Sound back in the day was better in that regard. It is far more logical and true to life to have a construction site on the road that is secured by beams with blinking lights or a fire truck to make continuous lights and sound.

Yep, that's something I really really would like to know. How many minutes do random kids play with the smart brick on average? How often will they play the cantina sounds for example? Do parents think the brick is worth it compared to a set of the same price with double the amount of bricks and pieces when they know the kid will only play with the smart brick X (see question no 1) minutes? Do parents think the smart brick is a better toy compared to a regular set of the same price with double the amount of bricks and pieces? I would like to read a paper about this.

That's actually what I hate most abot the Smart Brick. All those influencers and youtubers who buy the sets just to make content. They know beforehand the sets gonna suck. Why not keep your integrity and say "I am not going to support the Smart Brick and I won't buy any of the sets."? Yep, that's why.

I am a simple man - I want to go into a shop and buy what I need Everything else is not worth the hassle. And since I can not buy from PAB anymore I doubt I could order some BDP set. Last year (I think it was summer) Lego changed the payment method I was using. For 17 orders in the past 3 years I could directly transfer the money from my bank account to Lego. This is not possible anymore since Lego outsourced the task to some dubious dept-collection company and my internal 'score' is not good enough or whatever the problem is. Despite the 17 orders that I of course fully payed in time. But maybe I am lucky because the dubious company has very bad ratings... So my PAB purchases fell off an cliff last year and I did not make an order ever since. I know I am just a strange single case though

Hmmm, I don't know. Reminds me of the Indiana Jones plane attack set that came with two dual-molded hat/hear combos. I think these are mistakes because Lego usually is quite the penny-pincher
