In short, I hereby present the form of the treaty which, we believe, should aid in the consolidation of our friendship, and which nonetheless requires nothing more from one nation or the other which common civility should not already demand. The proposed treaty is as follows: Be it known that, For the promulgation of peace and trade in the great Empires of Corrington and Eslandola! - The ruling bodies of these realms hereby agree that: During the duration of this Treaty, no aggressive acts shall be permitted by the Empire of Eslandola or any of its citizens or entities upon any citizen or entity of Corrington, or the Empire of Corrington itself, and all issues which may arise shall be decided by the courts of each nation working in peaceful conjunction, which they agree to do as long as possible in order to arrive at a satisfactory conclusion.. Moreover, each Empire binds itself toward a friendly diplomatic relationship calculated to consider their mutual good. This Treaty may be disolved, upon a month's warning, by either of the participants giving due notice to the other of their intention towards dissolution. Honest answer: I don't recall Corrington doing anything of note. You guys were briefly on the Isla we Steala with ESL, but left. Apart from that, you sailed in convoys and developed your colonies in a peaceful and non-confrontational manner. A few NPC pirate purges but not a lot of exciting action. Frankly, in Era I you acted in a merchant-centric manner as I thought ESL would while they acted in an aggressively expansionist manner as I thought you would. My 2 coins. SilentWolf Posted June 20, 2017 Well since all the non-Corrington people have had a chance to give their perspectives, I shall give my overview. In Era I, Corrington quickly mastered the seas and perfected her methods of managing trade routes. The convoys brought in exceptional profits to all who participated with Corrington . Corrington also swept pirates from before her. With minimal losses, her convoys and escorts captured pirate ships at such an extraordinary rate that the shipyards are still attempting to repair all the ships. In addition, there were so many ships in drydock, that the queen offered free right of first capture to those who helped the Crown build ships. The explorers of the empire fanned out across the newly discovered areas in search of land and scientific discoveries. They traveled more extensively then all the other empires, and added massive numbers of new islands to the empire. Corrington claimed more islands than any other nation in both the Sea of Thieves and the Prio Seas. The government of Corrington was stable throughout the first era which is more than can be said of all the other nations in the region. There were periods of slowness in government decisions being made, but that I am sure was due to the fact that the empire was expanding faster than the information could be kept current. The expansion also prevented the scientists and cartographers from keeping up with the new discoveries which left some confusion for new settlers attempting to join the new colonies to the east. This slowed down the growth of the towns, which proved detrimental as shipping slowed down in the second half of Era I. However, due to the great profits of the first half of the Era, Corrington's citizens invested deeply in properties and business ventures in other nations and the slowed income from the lack of MRCA's was not detrimental to the citizens who stayed active. In short, Corrington outpaced all her neighbors on the seas and in discoveries. Her shipyards are still humming away furthering her power on the seas, and it will take another entire era before another nation could surpass the landmass acquired by Corrington in the first era. What she found on her stargazing trip was nobly turned over to the proper authority at the Royal Swordsmen's Club in King's Harbour. We are indeed grateful. Though I am not sure that in her hasty retreat, she left her name so that we could properly reward her. Feel free to correct me if I err in this.
