  1. This is my version of Donald Duck's car in LEGO. It was a challenge to build eventhough it is so small, but of course a fun challenge! I would appreciate if you also had a look at the LEGO Ideas-project here. Some history Donald Duck´s car made its first appearence in the movie "Don Donald" from 1937, and in 1938 it was introduced in the newspaper comics by Al Taliaferro. The design is originally based on an "American Bantam 1938"-car, but has changed slightly over the years and varies from different cartoonists. Its name "The 313" comes from the license plate that has number 313, which also is the day when Donald Duck was born (13th of March). The design is mainly inspired by the original fictiv car "Belchfire Runabout", which you can see in the last photo.
  2. This is the one you've been waiting for, and now it's here! The one and only WhiteFang, master of the Collectable Minifigs, brings you his in depth review of one of the most anticipated sets in the series, the very first offering from Disney! Go check it out now!
  3. Hey guys! Here are some custom figures I created a little while ago. I used quite a few Brickwarriors and BrickForge parts. Here's the story I wrote for them... The Order of Areani was founded long time ago, after King Alphundus was killed, and the three brothers split the kingdom. Prince Lorean feared the fate of his father, so he formed a special band of knights, called the Areani. These men swore to protect the prince from any danger that might threaten him. The present Order is rather numerous and wields great power within Roawia. The duties of the members are now more varied as well. and the Order's influence and power continue to expand. They field elite cohorts for the Loreesi armies, and did great service during the first swamp campaign. Fear the Order! For the Glory of Loreos!!! ____________________ The standard outfit and equipment for the members of the Areani. Wielding straight swords and round shields, their simplistic weapons hold a nasty surprise for those who would turn their backs on justice, and more importantly, on the Prince of Loreos. Their armor is perfectly designed to allow full freedom of movement, meaning they can run and fight with perfect agility and ease. Their training is the best imaginable to the point where complex maneuvers are instinctive. Whether it be the top of the highest cathedral, or the deepest darkest swamp, they know where you are. Desert scouts are the snipers, rangers, and special forces of the Order. Wielding composite bows and a variety of curved swords, javelins, and other weapons, their more unique tactics complement perfectly the Standard Areani Knights on their various missions abroad. Thanks For viewing, and have a great day!
  4. Hi! First off, I apologise if this has been asked before or if there is a topic somewhere that I haven't spotted! If so, feel free to close this mods! I just wondered how long people had spent in the LEGO-less (No LOTR similarity intended) world? and also what it was that drew people back to the thing that we all love? Personally I was addicted to LEGO as a kid. I played with it and built new creations up until I was 14/15ish. My parents also bought be "Lego Studios" which got me interested in brickflicking (although that was obviously very primitive and looking back they were awful the ones I made!) At around 15 however, I grew out of LEGO - or certainly forced myself to decide I was too old for it and so I ended up spending the time that I used to play with LEGO on some computer game or other (I lived in a small village so my social life wasn't great until I hit the late teens!) Back in 2009 at 22-23 me and my girlfriend were shopping and went into a toy store for a laugh. Looking at the LEGO I remenised about my old days of playing with it (although might have played down the extent a little!). When we got back to mine I showed her some which I had to hand which we had fun looking through and building with... and I showed her my brickflicks. She thought they were cool and a couple of days later we made one together which was fun. And that could have been an end to it - but then I started searching in the evening for LEGO type things and came across Classic-Pirates.com and ultimately this forum... and then I was hooked again! I found a new stopmotion program and bought a new webcam - and created my first youtube video "Lego Pirates: Rafting, Battling and Commandeering" which received very positive feedback. I then set to work on a brickflick series "Brickington Sails Forth" which again got generally good feedback... and that's been me back into LEGO and Brickflicking ever since! In short, my dark ages were from 2001ish to 2009 so around eight years - how long were yours? Or did you not have any!? P.S. I'm still with my girlfriend and now share a flat with her. The LEGO occupies a large amount of it... much to her annoyance! She's going to do some voices for my latest brickflick later tonight though, so I think I'm converting her!
  5. HR official images of series 11 Warning images can be up to 10000.pxl Warning following picture links to 10000.pxl version! Will upload picture of the individual figs later! stay tuned! Enjoy! :classic:

  7. Kitted out for a full expedition in any environment the Scorpion Venturer is an upgraded version of the Scorpion Tracker. With a more powerful engine and a longer wheelbase you can adventure with ease! So, the Scorpion Tracker was one of the first Adventurer sets I ever came across though I was only able to get the car that came in the Sphinx set. When I came to building a new version I decided to combine the two to create this much expanded car. The re-visioned Adventurer theme came about after I was messing about with minifigs and decided to use my newer fig parts to update old characters. Between the wealth of new parts, designs, sharper printing and great new colours I had all my favourite characters rebuilt. So: Figure details time! Johnny Thunder was the best character of the late 90s early 2000s. I have a lot more to say about him later . So he was fun to update indeed! I wanted to use a new brown hat and sadly the actual signature chapeau only comes in that colour in the rather expensive Super Secret Dropship set. So I had to substitute in a new design. I think it suits him and we'll just say that he lost his old one in an incident involving alligators... The torso is my favourite from Pharaoh's Quest. I thought Jake Raines looked better in his tan shirt and bandolier so I co-opted this one for Johnny. The Indiana Jones legs are a given, they look just right on a character who pays more than a little homage to the great man! The angle makes this awkward but he is equipped with one of the pistols from Lone Ranger. I like the gunmetal grey and the slightly more accurate design. Pippin Reed is kitted out in an outfit similar to her first appearance in the Egyptian subtheme. I wanted to stay true to the figure I loved to play with but with newer parts. I thought the adventurer/explorer torso looked perfect, the red bandanna a match for the scarf and the canteen a great replacement for the printed camera now that she has one to hold. The dark tan pith helmet looked nice and a change from white and I love dark red and my original figure had regular red legs so that was a switch I wanted to make.
  8. Hello everyone Here comes my second army in tabletop style. The bunch of the green Dragon. If you want to learn more about it and see all units in detail just check up THE BRICK TIME. The warlock, leader of the whole bunch. The bunch of the green dragon. Kind regards, BoB THE BRICK TIME Team
  9. Hey guys! Just wanted to call attention to my new Bricklink store that I recently opened. Kayne is Able http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=darkenrahl_17 I currently have a limited inventory of mostly minifigs(mostly Star Wars), but I will continue to grow it, so please check us out!
  10. I have put together some figs that I've been wanting to post for a while. I know the picture quality may not be the best, but I am unable to get outside to photograph them as it is snowing where I am. Heres some information to describe the roles of some of the people. Vanguard, the capital city of Vanhorn, sits on a rocky island surrounded by Lake Talon. The River of Rhondurion feeds the lake and is the path that shipping vessels use to get to Vanguard from the open ocean. The docks are able to accommodate up to five different ships due to the importance of import and export in Vanguard’s economy. The Outer Wall flanks the perimeter of the island. About twenty feet tall, the Outer Wall has three gates. They are the Northern, the Southern, and the Western gates. The Western gate is the main entry to the city and is surrounded by the docks, which form the port. It is guarded by two watchmen. There is a large rock protruding from the water rather close to the docks and a watchtower sits on it. There is only one person who mans this tower, and that is the Lake Watcher. I start with some new troops. Tiberius Denmire - Lake Watcher Lynx Oden - Gate Watchman Crux Tranus - Gate Watchman Archers that stand along the Outer Wall with a redesigned Captains' Uniform. Artemis Redd - Captain Ezra Raine Barthos Malone Colin Vorne Kaleb Ploge Seanus Faun Elven Factions The elves in Vanhorn are divided into several factions, which are labeled by color. The Green Faction, led by Eremir Lanthorn. The Red Faction, led by Reagan Lanthorn. The Brown Faction, led by Seraphine Oakin. (Credit to Ecc. for the uniform design.) Villagers of Vanguard Gela Shiloh, a bar owner. Atlas the Strong - Standing at a staggering seven feet three inches tall, Atlas is employed as the blacksmith for Vanguard. He has always been crafty with his hands and built his house on a lone hill on the wooded shores of Lake Talon, nor far from the crop fields. He is also a werewolf who cannot control where or when he changes, this is why he chooses a more solitary lifestyle. Atlas’ house doubles as his workshop and messengers come to deliver new orders from the Council or civilian orders. - Atlas spends his weekends hunting or at Gela’s bar playing cards with his friends. Atlas has had relations with Gela in the past, but both were and are still unwilling to fully commit to each other. Atlas could not put Gela in the danger of living with him and the wolf constantly fighting to surface. They remain good friends and acknowledge that there is something more between them. - The transformations occur at random and with little warning. Once Atlas becomes a wolf, he can no is no longer himself, so he tries to escape to the woods or his house whenever it begins to happen. Just inside the door of his house, there is a massive post that supports the loft section above. Over time, the post has become scratched and clawed at from the wolf. Lucinda Raven - Lucinda works as the private assassin of the Council and is well skilled in carrying out her tasks. She is a half-elf clad in dark brown robes, hides several daggers in her robes, and has a bow strapped to her pack on her horse saddle. Her horse is a black draft stallion named Ridgewood. Lucinda never carries more than three days worth of food, avidly hunting for herself and Ridgewood. Eli Rune, a horse trainer and farrier. Luka Torgon, a milker. Houses of Vanguard House of Sesilion - Lenfel- Chief of Agriculture - Heandil (Son) - Bugler of Vanguard o Lenfel oversees all agricultural affairs in Vanguard. Due to limited space on the island, the majority of the fields sit on the opposite shores of Lake Talon. Heandil, who is roughly fifteen years of age, works as the Bugler of Vanguard. Every morning, he goes around the city playing a melody to wake the people as day breaks. House of Conclan - Wolfar - Vendor - Dale (Brother) - Carpenter o The Conclan Brothers are the sons of the late Councilman, Blade Conclan. Blade died from sickness that he caught during his diplomatic travels to other lands. The remaining Councilmen went about choosing a replacement, as they wanted to keep to the tradition of seven members and a two-thirds vote needed to pass an Ordinance in Vanhorn. The Council didn’t overlook the elven population that had risen considerably in the recent years. They elected myself, Lord Eremir Lanthorn, to the Council so I could represent my race in the political arena. House of Bern - Lord Christopher Bern - Jordana Bern (Wife) - Sebastian Bern (Son) - Regulus Bern (Son) o Christopher is a merchant who has worked his way up to become the wealthiest citizen of Vanguard. He lives with his family in a mansion upon Obtilious Peak, a high, stand-alone piece of rock that juts out from the rest of the city. The highest point in the city is the Tower of Vanguard, which is the focal point of the entire city and is located among the fortifications inside the Inner Wall. And some Kailphlin Traders Crew of a trading vessel from Kaliphlin. Thanks for viewing my new figs!

  12. Inspired by discussion in the Series 11 Speculation Thread, I pose a simple question to my fellow CMF collectors... Out of all of the series of the popular CMF theme, which individual figs have you collected the greatest quantities of? The CMF has proven a great source for army-builders across the globe, so which figures have you bought the most multiples of? The Spartan? The Elf? The Galaxy Patrol? Aztec? Conquistador? Zombie? Flamenco Dancer???? Who??!! I invite all of you to list your Top 3 Army-Builder CMF minifigs. And I'll go first-- 1. Evil Knight, Series 7 - 19 figs 2. Revolutionary Solder, Series 10 - 18 figs 3. Evil Dwarf, Series 5 - 15 figs Obviously this is not a boasting thread to see who's spent the most money on CMFs, but rather what individual fig has been purchased the most. It'll be interesting to compare results, and potentially name the most popular army-builder fig of the entire series. Thanks!
  13. CCCXI Welsh Warband by Mark of Falworth, on Flickr CCCXI Welsh Warband by Mark of Falworth, on Flickr CCCXI Welsh Warband by Mark of Falworth, on Flickr Throughout all of history, there is perhaps no people who have ever put up such a spirited and determined defense of their country as those of Wales. A culture literally pushed to the ends of the earth by waves of hostile invaders, they still strive for their precious freedom. Lightly armed, armored, and unparalleled in skill with the longbow, they are very dangerous, to say the least, in their mountainous, rugged homeland. An entry to the Custom Faction Category of the CCCXI http://www.classic-c...t11/prizes.html Thanks for viewing and have a great day!
  14. Growing up in the 80's I discovered a new comic called "The Punisher" a story about a man out for revenge. Later on I discovered that he debuted in Spiderman ~129 in 1974! Two whole years before I was born. I've been hooked on his adventures ever since. Over the years Frank Castle has been through a lot of changes, some stories were gritty and tense others like Punisher Angel were frankly dumb. To be honest though I loved them all! Punisher Captain America - Marvel teased the Punisher as the new cap when Steve Rogers took a dive. FrankenCastle - When Daken beat Frank and cut off both his arms and head most people thought it was the end for the Punisher, however Morbius and the Legion of Monsters had other ideas. The Punisher - This is pretty much how I see the Punisher in my head, without his 70's costume and tooled uo! Punisher Noir - From the Marvel Noir series. The Mask was a nice touch. 1930's Frank avenges his Fathers death! Punisher Angel - Not at all what you might think! having committed suicide, Frank is given a second chance by his Rubbish Guardian Angel Gadriel who failed to save his family. Gifted supernatural powers and the greatest weapons of Heaven, Frank sets out on a mission from God for a bit... then decides he'd rather just keep doing things his way...
  15. Hi guys, I know some of you are planning on getting two Black Gate sets to make the full gate. While I would love to do this myself, I want Orthanc much worse and wouldn't have a place to display the gate. I was hoping I might be able to work something out with one of you that would be mutually beneficial. I would be happy to buy all of the figures, just Aragorn, the Mouth and the Eagle or something in between. Due to the difference in retail prices an exchange rates as well as shipping costs, I think it would be best to trade within the US. If you are planning on getting two gates and would like to unload the extra figures all at once please send me a PM. Thanks, Str0ngbad
  16. While visiting one of my favorite haunts in my hometown of Atlanta, Georgia a couple of months ago, I asked myself, "why don't you MOC this?" After all, it's a smallish corner building, and it has some very unique and iconic design elements. So, I decided to give it a whirl. And within a matter of hours, I already had a basic outline of what I was doing. Here's a picture of the real thing, the Vortex Bar & Grill in Little Five Points: I knew the skull facade was going to be the make-or-break part of the MOC, so I decided to work on that first. And it took a few rounds of trial and error before I found something I liked. I did have to take some liberties to make it work in brick and keep it recognizable, but overall, I found myself happy with the build. So, here's some shots of the outside: Little Five Points was originally built as the commercial district of the Inman Park and Candler Park neighborhoods in the Eastern part of Atlanta. In the last few decades, it has become a center for bohemian lifestyles and subcultures. The neighborhood is filled with music stores, head shops, alternative fashion boutiques, and a variety of restaurants and bars. The Vortex's unique entryway makes it instantly recognizable in the heart of the neighborhood. Here are some of the folks you might be likely to see standing outside on a nice Spring afternoon: While the exterior was going to be an important thing to get right, the interior was another level altogether. The Vortex is filled with chotchkies, bric-a-brac, trinkets, and what-have-you, and there are some definite design elements that couldn't be passed over, even when scaling the building down to fit the Modular standard. The bar area, seen above, lifts out so that you can see the details behind the bar. The light brick which illuminated the bottles is activated by a button below the vent hood on the outside of the bar. Here is an exploded view of the whole building: And here's your cast and crew, thanking you for stopping by to look at my pics: You can find more pics of my creation in my Brickshelf or Flickr pages.

  19. This is not my project, just found it on the web. Please delete it if it's aleady been posted It's a fun and inexpensive LEGO clock. You can easily change out the minifigures or LEGO bricks to match your mood. Clock kits run around $10 to $15, or you could try to use the parts from a thrifted clock for much less. http://ournerdhome.com/diy-lego-clock/ Great way to display your spare minifigs, or create a themed clock; Star Wars, Super Heroes, LOTR etc
  20. In the nick of time I finally managed to get my minifigs photographed. I built most of them weeks ago, but never got around to taking pictures until today. I hadn't had time to closely follow what you others have made yet, so in case any of my minifigs reassemble yours I apologize for that. Anyway, here they are: Avalonia: Avalonian Spearman The bulk force of most Avalonian armies. Perfect for protecting the less armored archers with his large shield. Very common soldier for the nobles private armies. Druid This experienced leader draws his knowledge and faith from the nature around him, seeking the true power of Mother Earth herself. He can often be found in the sacred growths in the Avalonian forests. Noblewoman The Avalonian Noble can live well of her family's fortune, but that's not the case for everyone in this land. To help ease her conscience this noblewoman has decided to pass out apples to the poor in nearby villages. Forest Nymph This spiritual being lives her life in the wilderness and cares nothing about the civilized world. Her only concern are for the creatures living in the forest. Her whistling has caught many wanderers ears but few have seen her for she's very shy. Kaliphlin: Petrean City Guard The capital of Kaliphlin needs a reliable force to keep order in the city's many streets and allies, as well as manning the walls in case of a siege. This man does his job, but some say the City Guards care more about their own appearance than the well-being of Petrea. Blade Master Trained with blades in hand since the age of six, this highly effective fighter usually uses her skills for entertainment rather than combat. Performances at private parties for the noble class in Kaliphlin can be rather lucrative and certainly safer than assassinations. Kaliphlin Counsellor Information is of great importance in this age and time, and the counsellor devotes his time to collect as much of it as possible and then pass on the important parts to his lord. Although high-born himself, his bad position in the line of succession in his family had him choose a career than served rather than being served. Feather Dancer The sensual movement of body and feathers is mesmerizing to all that witness this dancer. People from far away come to experience one of her shows and so far none has been disappointed. Mitgardia: Mitgardian Captain The rough seas in the North is no match for this seasoned captain. He has led his pack of raiders across the water so many times he has lost count by now. The coastal villages of northern Avalonia has learned to fear the sight of his ships. Fisher from the Clan Lands The Clan Lands of Mitgardia are cold, and the coldest are located at the border to the Frozen Beyond and inhabited only by a few frost-bitten souls. The waters are very rich in fish however, so at least the pale skinned people of the far North have plenty of food. Rumor has it that one member of the clan has traveled south, but it was very long since anything was heard from him. Nobleman The noblemen in Mitgardia are very proud and persistent in their independance from the Jarl. This one is no example and he proudly wears his house colors instead of the yellow and green of the Guild. His personal feuds with neighbours and vassals are of much bigger importance to him than foreign relations with "southerners". Merchant The trade in Mitgardia is mostly focused on raw material like furs, iron and timber. The merchants are always trying to surpass each other in share of the market and volume of trade. A lot of gold can be made if you can create your own niche of trade and this young woman seems to have succeded in that. Every good deal is of course sealed with a toast from the golden goblet. Nocturnus: Nocturnian Bersek Born and raised with one purpose, this creature has known nothing but war. Every day is a fight for survival and killing enemies is the only task. If he had been born in a different place in a different time, could his life had turned out different? Dark Wizard The magic that surrounds this wizard is darker than the night, but the gold in his outfit glows steadily when he performs his secret spells. The wizard is more powerfull than you would ever imagine, but prefers to keep his powers to himself. His home is located far away up in the mountains and protected by numorous spells to keep intruders away. Imp Soldier This short grown creature is more dangerous than his hight reveals. The imps has a large underground society in Nocturnus, but are constantly under attack from other factions. The rumour of the rich treasures of the imps are well spread but none has so far managed to infiltrate their caves and thunnels thanks to a fearless defence from the imp soldiers. Bat Trainer The vampires of Nocturnus have many specialities, but this one has focused on training bats for pet keeping. Vampires have of course a special connection to bats of all forms and can easily communicate with them, but it takes time to train a bat to feel comfortable with other races. Keeping bats has pets has grown in popularity among the nobles in Nocturnus and the bat trainer hopes that the trend will spread to the other guilds as well. It's been fun designing different minfigs and also very fun to write the short descriptions. Maybe this will spark my interest in GoH again and I will be able to produce some builds again soon. After all, I can't just abandon Ettu somewhere in the southern Mitgardia.
  21. I present to you the crew of the Black Hole Barracuda -a space hulk that drifts through the void terrorising all those foolish enough to cross its path. Scroll down for individual bio' of the dastardly crew! Cap'n Jolly Roger himself, The Most fearsome of his race, Jolly Roger is a Skullker, a species of creatures originating from the Beranveen Death Planet. He is a fearsome close assault specialist and master tactician. He literally has no fear and skant regard for the well being of his crew. Given that they are all borderline psychotics, they don't really care either. Capable of surviving in almost any environment, his durability has led to his century long tenure as captain of the Barracuda. Arabella is Cyren. Using her psionic powers she is able to guide the Barracuda through the invisible Void pools of the Drift. She can also broadcast psychic messages back to the home beacons of her people scattered throughout the galaxy. Indeed this is the only way of sending messages from within the Void. Some would question why such a pretty and seemingly frail creature would ally herself with the Crew of the Barracuda, truth be known she is mentally unbalanced with the ability to melt people's minds... It's best not mentioned however as it tends to upset her…. A denizen of the Scorpio Cluster. He is chief Surgeon for the Barracuda. His limited understanding of other creatures physiology means his most usual treatment is amputation. His race can grow back limbs so where's the problem (Puny Humans)? He also enjoys manufacturing, repairing and tinkering with cybernetics. The two things are most likely entirely unrelated… Smokin Joe Ravan is the Ships lookout and leads the away team. He can be found in "the Crow's Nest" which is another name for the observation deck. He is quite, quite mad and can often be found squawking away to himself and his multiple personalities, as such he's usually left to his own devices as conversation with him can be murder. A fearsome lunar shark and apex predator from the Sea of Tranquility. Jaws McGraw is in charge of keeping the crew in line, a more vicious collection of lunatics, psychotics and ne'er do wells you will not find. Jaws is fearlessly loyal to the Cap'n having been raised from a small fry. Dr. Barben created an exo frame for him, unshackling him from the limitations of his usual zero-G environment. Mekzog is a Space Ork Mechanic. He is in charge of keeping the space hulk moving. He is never seen without his shape changing Parrot "Polymorph" or his exoframe which he built to augment his already impressive strength. Polymorph can change shape into a giant swiss army knife which he finds infinitely useful, just as well because this is the only shape Polly can morph into. Other than engines, Mekzog loves to drink. his favourite tipple is battery acid. It makes him flatulent hence his second name...
  22. Hi there! (This part can be ignored) I'm currently doing a project that involves taking every currently available D&D 5e miniature and making them into Lego. I've been doing my preliminary thoughts, and a problem came up: (Important starts here) I need a way to make minifigs larger without being Bigfig sized, partly due to the minimal customisation options of Bigfigs. So I'm asking you guys for help; how can I make a larger figure without going Bigfig? Any questions just ask. Thanks, and I look forward to you guys sage advice.
