  1. Good build and nice minifigures, but the build itself could have used a bit more colour. All that grey and nothing but it is a bit drab compared to classic space.
  2. Wow, very impressive and fun build. While I didn't quite get all of the inside jokes, I got enough to appreciate the thoughts going into these builds. Amazing.
  3. Looks like this could be the best series in quite a while. Nice.
  4. Incredible work, I'm absolutely loving the colour scheme. Impressive!
  5. Absolutely outstanding, which goes both for the set and the review! Wow!
  6. A funny and very original moc. It looks like it was fun to build.
  7. Me: "The least you can do is level with me. What are my chances of seeing the return of Kingdoms?" LEGO: "Not good." Me: "You mean, not good like one out of a hundred?" LEGO: "I'd say more like one out of a million." [pause] ME: "So you're telling me there's a chance... YEAH!"
  8. I, for one, frown upon it.
  9. While the new one is of course more detailed and has better figures, I still sort of prefer the old one due to it's more solid brick nature compared to the tons of plates in the new one...
  10. From Brickipedia:
  11. I'll be "that one guy" then, and say the following: the Vikings line didn't fancy me the least bit, and I have no interest at all in it coming back if it's to replace a medieval castle line.
  12. I'm not usually into fleshies, but I actually the 2013 Dragon knights in the picture looks better with flesh than yellow...
  13. Fantastic creation, almost makes me want to actually visit Tivoli for the first time.
  14. I hope you feel good about hoarding a minifigure meant for children, meaning that there will be actual children missing out.
  15. Apart from what Ardelon said above, I'd also like to point out that there's a difference between featuring something in a System playtheme for kids and and featuring it in an Architecture theme directed at teenagers and adults.
  16. Because religion is a sensible subject that LEGO (wisely) choses to avoid, that's why. You won't see them do a guillotine or a brothel, either.
  17. Looks very nice. I'm especially impressed with your custom elven shields; if I didn't know them to be custom, I wouldn't notice. How did you make them?
  18. I just wish they'd give us some different colours in castles at least, like black or white or sand. This light bley castle has been done to death by now.
  19. The lion was an EXTREMELY common symbol used in heraldy, not just for the British. It could represent any number of nations/duchies/counties. And while birds of prey were also very commonly used, it was almost always eagles - not falcons. And while eagles were indeed used in heraldy in some parts of Germany, they too were used many other places as well - especially in East and South East Europe, like Russia, Poland and the Balkans. Especially two-headed eagles were popular.
  20. Dear lord, the one with Shelob's legs peaking out of the cave is creepy! Impressive work, very recognizable.
  21. Haha this is as great as it is wacky. Fabulous work!
  22. A logical and interesting choice. Hopefully, the result will look better than their DeLorean. Off topic: that Sara Moore sure knows how to work the camera! Am I the only one who thinks she looks a bit like Hermione...?
  23. Minas Tirith as a similar-sized set as Helm's Deep. I'd love a large and detailed structure in the same quality as Helm's Deep only with white bricks, which is somewhat unique for a "castle". They could throw in a Gondor soldier and the Witch King on his fell beast to make some of the above posters happy at the same time.
