  1. Bear in mind this is just eyeballing the images, but there should be no reason why you can't build the cafe on the 16x32 base and the other two buildings on the 32x32 base. I think Lego has theirs done that way because they don't want it to come apart.
  2. The only thing I'll add is that you should your layout should have gentle slopes as well as steep slopes.
  3. A new Falcon or Star Destroyer would affect the aftermarket the same way that the new X-Wing affected the value of the old one.
  4. Very nice.
  5. Mod it onto two 32x baseplates so you have some breathing room between the buildings.
  6. I know people want a remake of CC but I can do without it. I don't have a 'collect them all' compulsion and to be honest its not nearly as impressive as some of the newer sets.
  7. I like it and will be buying one. Since the colors are fairly common it would be easy to make a larger, more detailed one that machines your internal vision for the price of what a larger Lego set would cost.
  8. What I do is 1. Build in LDD 2. Export the parts list 3. Cross off what I have in my collection 4. Order the rest; you can import the parts list into Bricklink.
  9. That must be why we see so many UCS Venator MOCs.
  10. I disagree. I think the Venetor, ATTE, Gunship, and ARC170 are iconic in my book.
  11. And likely to get crushed by two trees.
  12. If you want models that Lego doesn't make, build them out of the small plastic parts that Lego makes.
  13. This is true if you ask a Star Wars fan who was a child during the OT. Ask a fan who was a child during the PT and they will say Venetor, ARC170, Gunship, etc. in addition to the usual OT stuff. A non-SW fan isn't going to spend $500 on a SW Lego set so its mostly irrelevant what they think about expensive Star Wars sets.
  14. The At-sit is a great set.
  15. I like the Monarch and Dragon Hunter.
  16. I think that's considered Midi-scale instead of mini UCS.
  17. Make a MOC out of it but keep the extra parts bagged so you can keep it together.
  18. The Pet Shop just went out of production but you can still find it for MSRP on eBay.
  19. This set appeals more to to AFOLs than AFODTLs (Adult Fans of Detailed Technic Legos).
  20. You know, considering how large it is you should build a hangar interior with micro scale ships.
  21. This is very nice. I like the over abundance of signs, very true to the time period.
  22. I think the tall white sides make it look more interesting than if it were all trans blue panels.
  23. I think it looks great. Tops of the chimneys are nice.
  24. For the main photo, I think it would be cool if you could see just the feet of a fig on the other side of the door,
  25. What is the steering wheels on its nose used for?
