Location: A05-Yallorn II Tags: Vehicle, Exploration Job: Driver Log Update: After operating the TR-2 Mining Rig, it was a welcome change to use the T-4 Buggy to scout ahead on planet A05. The individual front and rear suspension soak up even Yallorn II's mountainous terrain, and it's one of the fastest vehicles I've driven. The scouting expedition itself was mostly uneventful, I ran across a few small aliens, but they scampered off quickly. I made sure to keep an eye on them though, as harmless looking creatures often turn out to be anything but that. The T-4 Buggy features working suspension, and the ability to swap out modules for different missions. Weapons module for scouting missions: Cargo module: Secondary cockpit module: I tried to capture a rocky moss covered look to represent Yallorn II's mountainous landscape. C&C welcome

Here is a secret dossier from Area 51 with a codename 'Alien Scout'. Original sketch depicting the mysterious alien is shown below. Who is it: a living creature in an exosuit, a cyborg or a robot? It has a humanoid shape, but the differences from human anatomy are significant. And the purpose of all those devices on its suit remains unclear.

Greetings all! You may have seen me around Eurobricks, mostly in Star Wars. I've been trying to expand my interests and LEGO work lately, and because I like Star Wars so much, and Sci-Fi is so close to Star Wars, and basically is Star Wars, I decided to get some parts, get some of my aliens, space troopers and lasers and make a small MOC. I quite like my design of my small Drone. It can be used for spying, combat and exploration. Alright, lets get to it. Here is Space Troopers Drone "Delta Protector V". Excuse the name at the top for being misspelled. SpaceDrone1 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr Here's a view of the Drone. A small thing at the top to receive orders and commands. A big red eye and two side scanners to have maximum seeing ability, 4 mini side lasers, and one big rotating laser at it's bottom (hard to land it ) SpaceDrone2 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr Basically same picture but a bit closer and a maintenance crewman working on some minor damages and space troopers and officers in the background SpaceDrone3 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr A view of the back of it. SpaceDrone5 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr The Drone's main gun in action. A small firefight with a hostile alien life form. (excuse the connector, imagine it not there) SpaceDrone6 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr Two of it's four smaller lasers engage the hostile alien at close range, a Space Officer also comes in to aid. SpaceDrone7 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr A closeup of it's firing skills and a sort of side view of the thing. SpaceDrone8 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr Frontal firing view. SpaceDrone9 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr The Delta Protector V Drone saves the day! I hope you liked it, please comment, tell me what you think, it helps me to better preform next time and tells me if you like it or not. Please add any suggestions for the Drone (parts to add on, take off, etc). Maybe I'll create some more space stuff? Thanks for viewing!

Hello, everybody! This isn't really based off of any specific film or show. The MOC is very small but I am pretty happy with the way it turned out. The hardest part of this build was actually trying to set up the gun blast looks. Thanks for checking my creation out! Location: G04 - Fractor V Tags: Building, Vehicle While scouting out Fractor V, an Octan explorer came upon a tiny, yet highly advanced, alien civilization. He was going to get a closer look at some of the buildings when he noticed several hostile looking spaceships coming right towards him! Deciding a closer look could wait, he turned heel and ran. Lots more pictures on Brickbuilt: Link Thanks for looking, C&C appreciated

Location: G10 - Onix Tags: Exploration Kawashita Engineer's Log - AC - G10 Onix In our search for a good site on Onix to mine copper where we are out of the way of Octan's bases, we have encountered a number of large insect like creatures. OoC: Black Lego is really difficult to photograph, so ended up giving up with my intended scene because I just don't have the time this week to faff about all day to try and get it right, so I gave up and took these pictures instead. I wanted an insect like design for the main body and ended up with this. The head moves on a click hinge with a Technic pin joint, the mouth can open and close, the wings are also mounted using click hinges with a Technic pin joint. Clicking the pics will take to slightly bigger versions on Flickr.

Loosely based on the Caterpillar P5000 Power Loader from Aliens. I originally tried to make it much more accurate and thinner, but the legs were attached only to the minifig and were falling easily. And I hate that. So rather than trying to reproduce the original properly, I only took inspiration from it and made a robust and playable design. The hinges at the same level as the minifig's hips make it much fatter than the original and now it looks like a Super Deformed version of the original. The minifig's proportions didn't help either. I may try to find a better solution for that part in the future, but until then I'm happy enough with it. So, here it is: :) And now with the xenomorphs:

A kind-of-bust of the Xenomorphs head, based on the Alien from Ridley Scott's 1979 epic Science-Fiction/Horror film Alien. Built for the up-and-comming Armageddon Expo in Dunedin in February/March, so expect many more film and comic book based builds from me in the future. Here's my little collection of xenomorphs so far. I know there's been quite a few very good Lego xenomorphs already, but I just tried to make my own. I don't think they're much better nor much worse than the others, they're just mine so I like them. ;) First of all, a Queen: (I watched too many J.J. Abrams movies, hahaha) The main specific feature of this model is the movable forehead (side to side, up/down and rotation), which is also the main reason for the model's size. At a 1:40th scale (that's what I try to use for minifig scale, although I have no idea what the official scale is), it's slightly oversized compared to the movies, but according to the Alien Species Wiki, it's still an average size for a queen, just not "the" queen. It's easily posable, although potentially unstable and not as solid as I wish it was, but it can fall on its side without breaking which I consider acceptable enough. Then, the Drone and the Runner: Bullies. (I don't know who designed those eggs, but that's a good idea, credits to him/her.) (Those flares! My eyes! Those aliens! My throat!) The drone was slightly modified for the second pic so its head can now move up and down as well. Changing their pose is really easy although obviously at that scale not all joints are movable. Also, they met Benny: Update: Here's the latest version of my Queen, not final yet of course, but I think there are enough changes to post it. I'm still having a hard time taking good pics of it though, so I'll keep trying. These will do for now.

Taking a break from building stuff for Star Wars, I decided to build my favorite thing from Ridley Scott's movie 'Prometheus' - the space exploration craft of the same name. I did not go for size with this model, although it still is quite huge sitting on my shelf, but rather for correct shapes, angles and proportions with as much detail and texture as is possible with Lego at this size. Here's an image of the finished model. Please note that I will post more detailed pictures from other angles and close-ups of different sections this weekend. The pylons on which the engines rest as well as the engines can be rotated to change between flight- and landing-configuration as seen in the movie. The engines also have landing gear that can be hinged outward as in the movie. I hope you like it. Comments and suggestions are very welcome.

Hello everyone! I've been off Eurobricks too long, but this fun contest and the possibility of winning a SPACESHIP! x3 has drawn me back. So without further ado, I present my entry to the Home Sweet Home Contest, intended to fit into category A (48x48 studs) Colonial Living Unit (I really hope I didn't accidentally steal that name from someone...?) During the Colonial Period, pilgrims would build sturdy houses out of logs and wood. Contact with American natives allowe-</i> Confound it, wrong Colonial Period! During the Second Colonial Period, FTL starships finally allowed slow-but-in-your-lifetime transport to other planets. One of the first promising worlds to be colonized was Luther 372, (though the Hyndyuna natives, unbeknownst to humanity at the time, called it Oumoros) a vibrant, toxic planet. However, the global temperature was ideal and the atmosphere and oceans were very similar to Earth's. Very little terraforming was necessary and the first colonists, living in prefabricated house units, were able to supply their homes with air, water, and electricity with an Omnigenerator that converted the acidic dominant liquid on the planet into water, oxygen, and hydrogen. The oxygen was mixed with preexisting gases in the atmosphere to create the ideal mixture necessary for humans and the hydrogen underwent nuclear fusion, providing energy. Thus the stage was set for the beginning of the Human-Hyndyuna War over Oumoros. Right side. Back. I know that rockwork is not particularly significant, but I spent the longest time trying to get a pretty smooth transition from the building into the stone; the intent being that these colonists are trying to conserve materials by having Nature make up some of their house. Aaaaand the left side, showing more rockwork and a fancy little airlock. To follow are a selection of detail pics, because I have certainly tried to put a whole lot of detail into this MOC to make up for the lack of an interior. Unfortunately, the hexagonal construction required a lot of ugly brickwork on the inside. She better remember to put on her helmet before opening the airlock! And HE better remember not to ask what's for dinner first thing, or he'll be the one in the airlock without a helmet... The dark bley printed tile here kind of messes with the color scheme a bit, but it was too perfect. Also, antennae. A closer look at the rock-house transition. And now a look at the landscaped portion of the MOC. This natural spring was an ideal spot to build the housing unit near to because of the ease of procuring fresh liquid for the Omnigenerator. Speaking of which... ...Nope, saving it for later on. Here's the spring's output. I originally had a brickbuilt waterfall but this looked more natural. A closer look at what passes for fungi on Oumoros. Though other parts of the planet have more Earthlike flora, vast plains exist upon which nothing grows except for massive networks of this mainly subterranean fungi. The occasional upshoot is necessary to collect Sun-er, starlight. MY FAVORITE PART!!!! The OMNIGENERATOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ...Basically just a huge hunk of ideas for greebles that I didn't or couldn't use on the building. I threw them together to fill in this space and instantly fell in love. Man, flex tubing makes everything better... However, it does serve an important purpose, as mentioned above; powering the housing unit with the bare necessities. OBLIGATORY EXTRA PHOTOS SHALL FOLLOW This glare-infested dome is the communications array. It sends messages and receives Internet signals (sadly, always outdated by a few weeks) via orbiting satellites. The dome protects the delicate components from the (literally!) acid rain and helps to amplify the signal. CURSE YOU GLARE!!!! :shakes fist at all nearby sources of direct light: Lastly, a similarly glare-infested (I had to use my big photoshoot for this one. ) size check to make sure that my entry does, in fact, fit into category A. Sadly, I do not yet own a 48x48 baseplate, but my other baseplates and some math proves that it does indeed. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Fourth Wall: 1.) The building's color scheme is based off of Bart De Dobbelaer's brilliant Hex series! Hope you don't mind, Bart, but I could think of anything better. 2.) This build really DOES fit in my lightbox! The pictures still have glare all over, but they are much improved from yesterday's. 3.) This fits into a themed series of scifi MOCs on the same planet. 4.)Yeah, I'm late. But not too late. 5.) Wish me luck! 6.) Don't forget to check out the better pictures on Flickr. 7.) SO MANY SMILIES I hope you enjoy it; please tell me what you think!

Hey All! My latest build is a small alien fighter. When I saw the cocoon from the Galaxy Squad sets I wanted to use it as an engine thruster. So I built the engine first and designed the rest of the ship around that engine. Hope you enjoy... Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks, rongYIREN

They've forced us underground to live like rats inside mountains to stay low, and now they're helping out those Merchant Confeds by offering protection. Well, the Don had to send a message. Lucky our goodfellas found somethings at an Octan facility; one that they destroyed on purpose (http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=116109). And with it we was gonna serve up Octan some payback. The only problem was that we was taking too long for our payback, and the Don was sending me and my boys, Bugsy and Mugsy, to speed it along. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ GET OUT OF MY LAB!!! Er...um...youse is taking too long for the Don... This is scientific research, you dumbfart! We can't be sure of anything without properly designing the experiments and doing the proper statistics! Do the words "controls" and "p-values" mean anything to you? Of course not, because you and your goons went to school in a sewer and were taught by diarrhea nuggets! Um...wes ain't gonna take that... You will take what I give you, which is nothing! Take your urine sucking proboscises and get out! Er...then wes is gonna take your assistant. Your last one is currently sleeping with the fishes. WHY DO YOU THINK MY RESEARCH HAS SLOWED DOWN, YOU FART FACED MORON?!?! IT'S BECAUSE YOU TOOK MY LAST ASSISTANT!!! Well, this one is gonna be sleeping with the fishes, too then. It's a good thing I hired one that can breath underwater then! Youse think you're a wiseguy? This guy thinks he's a wiseguy. Wiser than you, you testicle vomiter! Get out before I tell Don Maggiano that it was YOUR fault that my research has fallen behind! And what are you going to do with that baseball bat, moron?! Location: Arium Minor - F09 Tags: Piracy, Alien After their surprise attack, Zoid invaders corral all of the pilots who were unable to get to their ships. The beleaguered pilots watch for any chance they might get to escape while a Zoid officer inspects some of their equipment. Zoids have no need for protective space suits as their hard exoskeletons allow them to survive in the vacuum of space. This allows them to easily attack and capture human vessels in space; which makes their raid on the surface of F09 that much more peculiar... The Zoid officer finishes his inspection and orders his crew to move the pilots to the Zoid transports waiting nearby.

Mission 8: First Contact Tags. Kawashita. Terrial Minor D04 We put our ship down a few KM out so as to not alarm the alien outpost we found. The Corp wants us to make contact and try to form a alliance of sorts so Kawashita can operate on Terrial Minor without conflict. As we approach the blue outpost a outer door opens. We make first contact, thankfully the alien isn't armed or hostile. Everyone in my squad was given earpiece translation devices so we can understand what the alien is saying. We also have attached throat mics that will transmit our speech into their language. We are invited in. The aliens seems worried but open to talks. I guess another corporation, Mantis, hasn't been as friendly to them. Thankfully Kawashita works to keep relations open and cordial with everyone. "Take me to your leader", gah, I cannot believe I said that but they are happy to do so. Our conversation and agreement is classified information. I won't divulge what was said. Next we are given the tour of the facility. It seems to be a listening outpost, they have been monitoring all three corporations operating on the galaxy and are pleased with Kawashitas movements and respect for life in the galaxy. This is a high frequency signal tower. It sends a radioactive signal to our other outposts to relay information. Just tell your redshirt to not get to close to the front of the...... Welp, more TPS reports for the bosses. Losing a redshirt isn't the worst thing to happen. Don't worry, this doesn't change our agreement. I'll have my two other reds take care of the remains. They will also remain here, to help keep Kawashita included in different reports being sent. Thank you for your hospitality, sorry about your man.

The Merchant Confederacy is vilified group of human-hybrid traders throughout the galaxy. The offspring of enslaved humans, those fortunate enough to escape their bondage banded together in a loose confederation of traders, merchants, pirates, brigands, and colonists. Their biological makeup varies widely and causes great unease to the elites in the A.L.I.E.N. societies. A well renowned leader within the loose confederacy is Captain Bridge Callahan. Upon hearing rumors of a coming invasion, he has pieced together and commissioned a scout ship, "The Libertine," to investigate the G.A.T.E. C&C greatly appreciated.
