    Don't let the haters bother you, use whatever parts you want. After receiving Big Ben for my birthday I'd love to do a more complete Parliament building, but there is no way I could afford all the Big Ben sets I'd need. However, I can get 4 Lepin clones for the price of one Big Ben so I may go that route. I've purchased more than enough real bricks over the years to where I don't feel bad if I do that for one big model.

    I have just finished bag 1 and I have to compliment the designers for a really cool set. There are lots of interesting techniques used here. Just wanted to add that while it probably doesn't matter that much, but for step 59 on page 38 I used 1x1 light bley plates to make that blue curved piece more stable.

    This new set comes with a loop of track which explains the fewer number of parts despite the track pieces being a lot larger with more plastic.

    1. Most snot roads and the bricks on the side which would easily let you have a 1 plate wide divider. 2. You could do grilles with a L bracket and grill on top of it, or if longer grilles are ok the 1x4 fence with the X pattern would be cool.

    This really is stunning. I particularly like this photo because the one building shows the stonework, plaster, and paint in a believably worn manner.

    I just built it and its pretty great. However, the big red wheels not he engine do not touch the track enough to spin regularly. Anyone else have this problem?

    I think the ramp is just one of those big tile pieces at an angle.

    I think you should work windows and ornamentation into the upper sides because that building isn't always going to sit next to a tall modular like the Town Hall. Of course, if you have another big and beautiful MOC planned for the other side disregard my comment.
