  1. Thank you. Thank you. I used a prefab sail since I plan to make a bigger ship with those hull pieces. I am not qualified to win in the contest. Thank you. DVDs and CDs are from days long ago. Thank you. Thank you. I don't think the ceilings were very high in those old ships. Thank you for the suggestions.
  2. Nice little boat. With the men and large fish nets, there doesn't seem like much room left for the catch.
  3. Not all that strange. I think it shows that the web store is not all that critical to their success.
  4. Congrats, yay, extra 6 months.
  5. It looks to me like it is basically adapting standard RC components to LEGO. The battery supply can be any power supply that can connect to the RC receiver unit. The high torque motor can shred plastic gears if you're not careful. You could probably do the same by making your own custom motor to LEGO mounts. I found some 3D print it yourself STL files for stuff like SG90 servos to LEGO mounts, etc...
  6. Congratulations to the winners. Well done. Big thanks to all the participants. Without you there wouldn't be over 70 entries to judge and a great first BoBS Challenge.
  7. Interesting. Have you opened up the new battery box and check out the circuit board? Does it have the same 750mA resettable fuse? Yup, photo noise reduction is bad for LEGO trademarks.
  8. I made a MOW rail grinding LEGO CITY styled truck. It has one Power Functions M-motor driving the "grinding" wheel in the trailer. The trailer also has a foam sponge to clean the tracks. Rail Grinder Truck and Track Cleaner by dr_spock_888, on Flickr
  9. I found another one in my collection. It has dual gauge rails too. Day 236 of 365: Shark-train-o by dr_spock_888, on Flickr LOL, I didn't know that. There are no limits to the things people do with a VW body. I think it could be fun to put a coupler on it and pull a train around and explain layout blocks to the spectators. Neat. I like that design of the mount for the battery box. Thank you all for the kind words.
  10. Sorry about that. My apologies. Thanks. I think that gimmick is called acrostic poetry. I see you like to use quatrain (4 stanzas) too.
  11. Good looking ship. You put much work into the rigging. Now that you mentioned it, I am curious why the rat lines were intentionally left out.
  12. Neat little build, Captain B. Do you find the cape some times get in the way with posing the model? approved
  13. Ugh, this just sprung in my head. Spam are like warts Prompting user reports Actor Builder retorts Moderator thwarts EDIT: Correct Actor Builder username. My apologies.
  14. Looking good. I was going to suggest testing the drive train before bricking over the motor to see if it has the speed and pulling power you need. I've made a few MOCs with M-motors and they work fine for shunters and MOW vehicles going slowly and pulling a bunch of 6 wide cars.

  16. Challenge 2A Defend Yer Claims News Headline: New Islands from Challenge 1 Up for Grabs In the name of defense of new territory, the Far Horizon shipyard cranked out an armed cog in record time. She was christened as the "Incognito" by the Lady of Ill Repute from the House of Pleasure in Bastion. The ship features a flat bottom to allow her to stay close to shore for coastal defense or attack coastal fortifications up close and personal with her main guns. Being shallow bottomed she can sail or be pulled by horses up and down rivers. Ship Christening by dr_spock_888, on Flickr She is crewed by the most vile tax avoiding scums of the Brick Seas. The Incognito by dr_spock_888, on Flickr She is captained by the technical Captain Brickbeard who has a history of pirating shiny round plates. Picture 5044 by dr_spock_888, on Flickr "Don't mess with the monkey. This island is ours." was also found in the Sea Rats' notice to the press. 17. Impressive, Captain D. The cranes look right for the era. Interesting use of clips for the water. I think you have enough to do KB's new cog hull building technique. I look forward to seeing some close up shots.
  18. ARRRRGGGHHHH, run for yer lives. It's the tax hog. LOL. You are living up to your well deserved title.
  19. Very nice serene scene. Your base even has the same signature look as your challenge 1 entry.
  20. Yes. You can used unlicensed ships in the Challenges. The ships MOC for Challenges will not count as Freebuilds. Ships only need to be licensed if they are going to participate in the MRCA.

  22. Congrats. You can log your title in this thread for future prosperity: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=43598
  23. Does trying to justify that the Sea Rats should earn 20% more DB on their monthly property yields based on other faction's tax laws count as innovative money making or at least creative in accounting?
  24. Welcome aboard, Gulagurag.
  25. Good looking digital build and render. How are the sail and fleur de lys held together? I don't see any pieces joining them together.
