  1. Welcome aboard. Where are you hosting your pictures? If you're on flickr, we have a tutorial on how to do that: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=97921 Also if you are a member of flickr, we have an Eurobricks Brethen of Bricks Seas group that you can add your pictures to. We have tutorials for other picture hosting services in the Forum Information and Help section. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showforum=6
  2. Cool stuff. That's good useful information. Thanks for sharing.
  3. Very nice. My vote go to the American Bicentennial ICG too.
  4. I find being able to easily zoom and hold the screen up to your face is a definite iPad (or tablet) plus for us older than dirt types.
  5. Very nice diorama. Good smokes.
  6. over
  7. Usually I just lean the baseplate vertically against the wall. I have a horizontal baseplate against its bottom edge. You can also build with bricks some side braces to hold up the baseplate vertical if you don't have something for the baseplate to lean against. Just make sure you frame your shot tight enough that they don't show up in the shot or crop them out in post edit.
  8. You can also check out their Customer Service FAQ for Power Functions: https://wwwsecure.us.lego.com/en-us/service/help-topics/bricks-and-sets/themes/power-functions My LEGO® train (or other set) isn't working. I think it's something with the Power Functions battery box. Can you help? First, please set aside all your Power Function elements (battery box, IR receiver, motor and remote control) and go through our Troubleshooting Guide to find out what the issue is. If this tells you something seems to be wrong with your battery box, here is some more information to help: The LEGO battery box works best with AAA batteries that provide 1.5 volts each. This is because the IR receiver and train motor require almost 9 volts (6x1.5V) in order to work properly. Rechargeable AAA batteries only provide 1.2 volts each, which is why we advise not to use them to power your train. Some brands have slightly different designs and will work better than others. Batteries with a slightly larger positive output (the end of the battery with the + sign) will make them work better with the connectors of our battery boxes. For that reason, if your battery box isn’t lighting up, you might want to try a different brand with a bigger positive output than the one you’re using. If it doesn’t solve the problem, call or email us and we’ll be more than happy to go through some more troubleshooting with you.
  9. A fine shipyard and addition to the Bastion. I like the all features you put in. Everyone is busy with work. Will they have time to pillage and plunder?
  10. Aye, she's a fine plum ship. I think the Sea Rats would look forward to meeting her. Good presentation too.
  11. Good looking small sloop. The green window shutters give it a nice splash of colour. You could add another jib to make it a small cutter. Pirate Ship MOC index has nice info graphic of each ship type based on masts and sails.
  12. That's an interesting Head End Power generator baggage sleeper car for Union Pacific. 4 wheel bogie at one end and 6 wheel at the other end.
  13. There are more FFOLs now than 10+ years ago.
  14. Welcome aboard, Gutterman.
  15. Bleach can cause corrison on metal such as steel. You could use a light oil to coat the springs to prevent rust. Be sure the oil used is plastic safe, particular ABS plastic.
  16. Looks and works great. The recreation of that customer day at Liebherr is nice. It would have been cool if you made a LEGO micro style crane for it.
  17. Welcome aboard, Callia.
  18. Welcome aboard. See you in the train forum. Minimum Power Function parts to run a train.
  19. Welcome to Eurobricks. Nice your wife supports your hobby.
  20. Welcome aboard.
  21. I am not looking forward to seeing the LUGBULK invoice come in. Here is a crazy idea. If you set your budget in US Dollars, you will have more Canadian dollars to spend before you blow it.
  22. I know what you mean about cutting good PF extension cables. I have a couple of failing M-motors from running GBCs at events. I could probably unsolder the PF cable from those. Finding people with dead PF motors could be a source. A L298N module could fit into a 6 wide train. You may have to design your MOC around it to allow proper air flow and cooling for the heatsink. Working radiators for LEGO trains? That sounds interesting. How many modules will you be able to communicate with?
  23. I use GoodReader with my iPad. I can open other PDFs and stuff and go back to where I left off in the first PDF. It remembers even when you leave the app to do something else and then go back to it. I never did get used to reading PDFs on iBooks.
  24. Thank you. Maybe they assumed it was booby trapped booty. Thank you. She's happy again. Thank you. Aye, well done. I was wondering if anyone would ever recognize the PoTC reference. T
