  1. Cool. GMT+1. Is that 4AM EST? It's BYOB. Or bring your own coffee depending where you are in the world.
  2. You're welcome. Do keep in mind that mines work a little differently if you want to license one in the EGS. Mine: A mine is a piece of land that yields mineral wealth. Mines may include the following: Silver, Gold, Copper, Salt, Rock Quarry, Mercury, Saltpeter, Etc… Mines work a little different than the other businesses. After a builder determines they are going to stake a claim, they pay the “Set up cost” for a month. At the end of the month, the builder should present a MOC of a mine being set up. After that point, it will be revealed what type of mineral they have struck. (This is predetermined by the leaders before an island becomes “known” to players.) The builder then must create a MOC to show the extraction of this material before they can collect its yield. Every month’s yield results in a % going to the empire the builder belongs to. (This is beyond regular taxation, and is often known as the royal fifth) Sea Rats do not pay these taxes unless they have a legal mine in a faction’s territory. Since mines are never within a settlement directly, they do not have plot sizes. In the EGS documentation, property size does not factor into the property count of settlements. But fort size and count do for a Hamlet or Town classification requirement.
  3. The sooner a captured ship is MOCed, the sooner the ship can participate in the MRCA and be captured again. I bid...oh wait, Sea Rats weren't invited to the auction.
  4. 1. So basically you have two different types of property MOCs sharing the same "48x48" base? One is a quarry type, the other is a factory type. 2. You should submit two separate freebuild posts, each focusing on one of the two buildings. You can add a picture or two to show off the entire 48x48 layout. 3. There is no time limit when a property has to be licensed after submitting the freebuild. Note: there are setup fees for mines (quarries) in the EGS and staking claims.
  5. Thanks. Not really without removing the large train wheels which are attached with a 4x4 Technic brick. The small wheels can flip up. Thanks. Thanks. It's loosely based on a rail grinder by Austrian company, Linsinger. The plates are there to hold the sponge and keep sparks from flying everywhere.. I could probably use some 2x4 tiles to avoid the studs but the 4x4 plates seem to hold a bit better. Thanks. It goes fine through curves. I've added a video of it in action to the first post.
  6. Basically holding on as long as you can because LEGO comes first. Only run to bathroom when you're at the point of no return (deadline?). There are serious risks with this procrastination such as your sister has occupied the bathroom.
  7. Maybe Magic Mushrooms. Motivational seminars of enlightenment. Ship blessings before sailing off to the MRCA.
  8. Procrastinating looking up the definition of bamboozle. Yup. Cram all night, take the test the next day and crash afterwards, no post test partying or drinking. :dtired:
  9. Avast. She's a good looking shed. Did you build it as one big module?
  10. You can have the marbles roll past a EV3 light sensor and trigger the sound that way. Dropping on a touch sensor might damage it over time. You can see the paint chips and impressions on the xylophone bars.
  11. Excellent results MOC story. The camera angle in one of the pics made it look like one of the crew lost his head and hands. I thought the other two were hungry...
  12. Eurobricks has an option to sign in anonymously to foil the stalkers.
  13. Builders already put the faction short name in the title of their thread like [sR-FB1]. That is a good indicator if it is your faction or not. Having a text or graphic of your faction in your signature would be helpful to identify same faction approvers.
  14. Neat. I think it can also double as a passenger platform.
  15. Nice vignette with an element of danger. Aren't pearls white or bluish grey in colour?
  16. It's funny how a data entry error in the TESCO computer system morphed into Katy Perry's IP.
  17. Nice micro build. Maybe it was green? They never did identify each other?
  18. It is a workable solution for slow speed crawling. I think it may make the wheel unbalanced if you drive at highway speeds.
  19. Hmm, the last couple of years TLG had job openings for business analysts and supply chain management. No need for sales if an item is sold out. Some times you need a sales to make space for new inventory coming in. If you do it right, there would only be a few copies left in stock by the time you have to sell at the discounted price.
  20. Some folks have used cheap LEGO clone tracks for the outdoors. Unfortunately those tracks don't seem as inexpensive and easy to find as before. You could hand lay your own metal tracks. That would be hardcore model railroading to get the track gauge for LEGO trains. You could MOC or MOD LEGO trains run on pre-made G-gauge tracks which seem a popular gauge for the garden. Garden Railway magazine and their website are a good source of outdoor model railroading information.
  21. Annual reports also take into account of sales not only from S@H but all other channels like Walmart, Amazon, etc. Like all things statistics, top sellers doesn't mean anything without knowing the context around which it was obtained or calculated.
  22. UV light from sunlight will deteriorate and weaken the ABS plastic over time. Color fading can also occur. As with any type of garden railway, there will be more maintenance like weeding, wild life chewing wires, re-application of UV protectants, etc.
  23. Haha. Ab Fab. Sounds like a TV series. Good job with the build and story telling.
  24. Jar Jar Bink was asking too much during negotiations. Management opted not to renew his contract for another year. Day 117 of 365: Pink Slip by dr_spock_888, on Flickr
