  1. ah yes I have some of those with broken inlets....
  2. I'd rather spend 300€ on this than a certain orange offering from lego and the certain stuttgart go-kart manufacturer.... Probably been asked / answered before: but are the pneumatic cylinders modified with a spring inside ? or pumped up and sealed off?
  3. Here's something i did with live axle and springs - could be adapted to use one spring at the back and have quite a free level of movement:
  4. I think I would rather buy a volvo and an arocs than one porsche but it would be difficult hiding these from the wife,,,,,
  5. First of all some pictures to jog our memories: Looking at the instructions - should be easy to suspension-ize 8145 - it has most of the parts already - just remove the bits blocking the suspension travel and add springs (look at the retro forumla one model cars for ideas) use cv joints for the rear axles if you want drive too... on 8653 the space is a bit more limited but should not be impossible get some LDD models of them (must be some out there) and experiment - and of course show us here what you do...
  6. If that counts then 8842 already did that years ago: And my facourite - ZBLJ's Junebug: (look at that selector angle....)
  7. i keep mine in the original box with the inserts still there - and in pieces - now and again i get it out, build it - play with it then take it apart and put it away again never let it mix with other pieces...
  8. thats the later convertible version with a hard-top, the standard version had gullwing doors....
  9. I was thinking of taking apart my 9398 for a clean and a rebuild and I think a Sherp may be in the cards!..
  10. ...and that is why it keeps happening and always will so lets enjoy this contraption and leave the moderators to the moderating
  11. I think the real reason is the custom RC Tyres that fit onto the standard rim - the xerion will help too to bring the price down but its not had time to have an effect on the market yet
  12. I Posted this on here a few months ago already - forums have a nice search function but no one ever uses it... still it is such an amazing machine it deserves to be mentioned all over again... and I did not link the video properly
  13. definately keep 8 and sell the rest - only because Tatra....
  14. if it is only HOG they probably took it off to stop people tempted to touch it
  15. i'd be concerned on how strong the ball joints are after a few fast and hard descents... but for careful crawling should be ok
  16. Yeah but you got the votes because of the wheels... it makes it awesome
  17. A lego version that floats on water would be great too - though I don't know about lunging into an icy cold lake with the front window open... I mean one badly timed descent and it will sink or worse still your feet will get wet I'll just leave this here too: http://i.imgur.com/1CKyG5w.gifv
  18. Differentials when used with planetary gears as Power Split Devices (PSD) are used in Hybrid Care scenarios where you have a motor-generator, an electric motor and the ICE (internal Combustion Engine) all acting on the power train which would be another differential to the wheels in lego you could have a L motor and and XL motor both acting on the drive train at the same time at different speeds and torques by using differentials (you could then run something off the crown wheel on the Power splitting part and connect it to an old 9v motor to generate power for the lights for example
