    The idea that Lego once had keeping things simple went too far in the late 90's and early 00's......thank goodness for city now eh ? Good selection of vehicles but too simple......they are the sort-so-so vehicles......quick build to play, but no detail and assume that every child or person using it is only 4 years old. At least with the new junior range their is some detail building including SNOT, I guess for a collection of road plates, etc., it's okay. Thanks for the review 'Rail Co'.....Brick On Review On !

    They might have changed there minds.......just look at the DO 2015 modular.....printed dart board and windows plus mirror piece ?

    Oh, that snake..... .....add to collection, now my feelings on the saw....I was thinking it looked a bit cartoon-ish, I guess we'll need to see more images of the whole collection eh ?

    Well, there is usually between 25 and 30 city sets release each year.....so I would say there is still second half sets to come and of course they'll be shown off at say New York Toy Show.

    I quickly got the camera out a minute ago, though it is late.....please forgive one shot....bit fuzzy. I redesigned the wheel barrow stand and yes, stepping up with a ladder..... and like always keep watching !

    Actually I had not read your post before, so I was just making passing comment on the set not on anyone else's statements. Anyway, I wonder if the modular design team took inspiration for the whole theme from this........ ............just a thought.

    Right now....so much detail and information that JB gave us. So the modular series is set in a time period early to mid 20th century....hmm, makes one think what's next and have people being throwing modern day designs of there own in with these sets......calling Doctor Who ? Interesting to see play features, which I in this set.....remember the modulars started how many years ago.......kids back than might be young adults now and they still want some play still even though they are grown up. JB asked my question I was going to ask about the minifig heads all being the original classic smiley face....it's to do with that wanted poster tile on the wall.....it could be anybody right ? A mirror , dart board , okay I'm sold on it and I was just thinking the other day about designing a period (1930's) modular to sit along side this.... (yeah, and everyone will gets what ? ) Edit - just did some digging on the net.......there were uniformed police women in the 1930's in the USA and maybe this image could be the inspiration for the female officer ? Alice Stebbins Wells......first female police officer in the USA.

    AWESOME modular built out of that set....many a bike rider loves coffee.....right ? Great 'Hub' sign on the building.......keep up the cool work and Brick On 'Tobysan' !

    According to someone on Bricklink, 21st at 10am US time so that makes it.......after 1am tomorrow morning SA time.....living in Oz can be a drawback sometimes ! At least by the time I get up tomorrow morning there be another 5 pages after this post !

    I was told by a retailer that Chima would be ending next year......and theme park rides, well I think the Wild West ride at Movie World is still going and when was that film out ? Plus add to that the Ninjago cinema release in 2016 I would say for an in house brand Lego would stick to just one but have a whole heap of other licenses to cash in on.

    Since we had Monster Fighters last year, remember back in 2009 and pirate theme.......then what happened within two years......POTC. Based on that logic SD would be a shoe in, but we'll need to wait and see right ?
