Location: E02 - Jurin II Tags: Military, Land Vehicle, Spying. M.A.N.T.I.S Special Forces log: Myra Dynarski 27 Junali 3815, Jurin II Previous entry Having intercepted Octan communications about "Undead Artichokes", M.A.N.T.I.S. scientists began work on a top-secret project. Unfortunately, someone must have confused artichokes with chayotes. They're both green, alright? Even more unfortunately, Octan must have heard about this, and sent spies to sabotage the project. One managed to release the prototype before he was killed. I got called in to contain the creature before it could escape into the jungle.

Previous entry I'd been feeling nauseous, so I stopped by one of the supply depots for some meds, only to find a bunch of Octan and Kawashita agents sitting around chatting like they were at a tea party, rather than in the camp of their sworn enemies (or at least business competitors)! I don't think they were even armed - at least they didn't put up a fight. They all escaped in vehicles, and I was unable to keep up. I did manage to steal [Redacted - All M.A.N.T.I.S. operations are 100% legal] liberate their leftover drinks.

Location: B05 - Marphacia Tags: Vehicle, Exploration, Military Endor and his team had been sent to Marphacia to explore the options Kawashita had to set up a base there. Knowing that most of the planet was swampland, the team packed a lot of hover equipment. Endor and Jack Harkness had been tasked with testing out the new proto-type bot named the Armadillo. It was the perfect exo-suit for inhospitable planets where small vehicles were the most convenient to use. It was able to roll up into a protective shell if the environment was too hostile. One of the explorers on the team, Kirk, decided he didn't want to wait until the Armadillo had been tested and took a group of "Red-Shirts" as his band of friends had been dubbed. They found out pretty fast that the swamp was no place to go without proper protection as the native flora was slightly deadly. A few of the team focused on training with their respective weapons. A gentleman who went by the name of "Cloud" was training with his buster sword against Hiro. Valentine occupied herself with setting up targets via remote control for Rose Tyler to shoot down. This team of elite Kawashitites would show the planet Marphacia that it was no match for them. One way or another they would find the best way to colonize the planet. OoC: This was my first time using a new DSLR that I got. I'm still getting used to the camera so some of the pictures turned out a little blurrier than I wanted. In time my photography will get back to what it was before, and then hopefully continue to improve!

Location: Marphacia Tags: Kawashita, Marphacia, Airplane, Spaceship, Military I think I may be getting noticed! During my tour on Sorn, I managed to locate a MANTIS convoy and wound up shooting down two planes and sinking a transport (all in fine style, of course!). Then Aera came in with her Hiryu and, well, there wasn’t much left. So it seems that things are improving… Now, I’m flying recon over Marphacia in a Zephyr interceptor. The Peregrine was a great ride with firepower, but this little puppy handles like nobody’s business! It may not be packing as much of a punch, but with twin phase pulse blasters and two 11-shot “Pepperbox” mini-missile launchers, I can hit pretty hard and then split in a hurry, calling in some bigger guns if needed. Now I just need to find some Bugs to swat! Marphacia. Primarily jungle and swamps. Hot, sticky, nasty. Man, God bless the drivers and explorers like Commander Turtle, Mister S, and Dragonfire. Why they would want to hike around in the mud and humidity while avoiding nasties that want to grab, slime, sting, and chomp a bite out of your bottom is beyond me. Nope. Give me the wide-open expanse of space or sky, the unrestricted freedom of flight. But, I will help those mud-marchers out as much as I can… All right! Kawashita really needs to address the issue of safety! These techs are unbelievable! They should know not to hit the suction function on the fuel cart when the hose is detached and there’s somebody near it! I mean, really? The fact that the guy nearly fell to the floor laughing didn’t help, either. This one was fun! I like the small, compact builds I’ve been seeing and decided to try another one myself. It is a rather simple build, but I like how it turned out. I’m really pleased with the missile launchers. They work better than I had hoped. Just wish I had a different color for the engine thrusters so that they would stand out more.

Location: B08 - Greater Direstan Tags: Military Log #003 – 5 Junali 3815 Since last week was very exhausting in the Hamilton Belt, I asked the KG (Kawashita Group), If I could get a week off, but my request was denied. They need me for a new mission to Greater Direstan. However, I could be part of a team of explorers and guards. This way I could take It a little more easy. Laying my eyes on the enormous grassy plains of Greater Direstan are a blessing for the soul. Until... I spotted from far away, through the high grass a greyish figure. While carefully sneaking from behind, to see If he's part of our team or a lost Space Pirate. I pointed my gun at his back and I told him to drop his weapon, which he did. I searched him and jammed his transceiver. The captured Space Pirate seems to be identical from Koro's report at the Desatoya Mountains; a soldier from the Dust Demons! As he's begging me not to kill him, he seems to be a lost rookie. He keeps whimpering that he didn't wanted to join the Dust Demons, but It's not my job to believe his excuses. KG should interrogate him before we deliver him to the Galactic Court or else the Dust Demons are at an advantage... Complete view:

Somewhere in the equatorial ocean... Arium Major - 3185 Having hit a dead-end on Lesser Direstan, Koro was called back to his safehouse on Orinshi to receive new instructions. The brass have issued a recall of all planetary probe memory chips from certain unclaimed planets such as Arium Major, [REDACTED] and [REDACTED]. Some kind of IT slip-up had [REDACTED] and left the chips with a [REDACTED[ sensitive [REDACTED] , and are thus considered military [REDACTED] to be recovered by operators with extreme priority. Looked like the Dust Demons and their mysterious Commodore would have to wait. Of course, it wasn't like Koro was going to have it easy. His HUD pinged in the equatorial ocean and he piloted Less Than Zero to a safe place before navigating the treacherous rocks that may once have been some kind of island. Suddenly, the signal was moving rapidly toward him and he got a funny feeling. "This better not be another trap." And that's when he saw the giant water worm, rising up out of the ocean like, well, like a giant water worm. Koro crossed his fingers and said prayers to anyone listening, but it was useless because that pinging was definitely coming from the inside of the water worm. Of course. And of course, now is when Narbilu would message for a status update. "Koro. Please report." "Narbilu-sama. Are you aware that the memory chip has been ingested by one of the local fauna?" "That doesn't sound so bad. Can you retreive it?" "Uhhh... I can try?" "You'll do just fine, I'm sure. Narbilu out!" "Sure. What could go wrong?" Koro, being a loyal servant of Kawashita Group, did his best to attract the worm's attention. It must have been hungry, because he didn't have to try very hard. It dove at him, its tendrils tasting the air for the unfamiliar, but surely delicious new prey. Koro's last thought before it swallowed him was that he hoped he gave the beastie indigestion... ... ... ... ... ... ...some time later... Because Koro did in fact give the beastie indigestion, it thrashed around with a great deal of ferocity as he sliced up its innards, searching for the memory chip's signal. Finally, he got his hand around it just as the creature tore its flank open on the same spike of rock Koro had been standing on. This left him, rather worse for wear, deposited on the broken shards. He was assessing his line of work and life choices when he heard a familiar tone in his ear... "Koro. Please report." "Narbilu-sama. I'm here. More or less." "You recovered the chip?" "Yes. Remind me to tell you about it sometime. It was a lot of fun." "You sound... a bit strained. Everything okay?" "Everything's great. I lost some fabric, a sword, my dignity, and an arm." "Oh. Sounds like you'll need to see The Mechanic. I'll make him aware that you'll be visiting. Can you make it to your extraction vehicle?" "I guess I'll have to. But... Narbilu-sama?" "Yes, Koro?" "Please stop trying to kill me, Narbilu-sama." END. BUILDER'S NOTES: -The lengthier story and injection of more humor is definitely owed to MANTIS's team and their tendency for funny, story-heavy builds. You guys are stepping up everybody's game. -This is my first time making a "tire-beast" but I've seen a lot of them out there on Flickr and this is my take on one. I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. -Had a lot of problems with light this time. Hopefully it didn't mar my photos too badly. -Oh look, first look at Koro's hair! -Can someone tell me why, on Eurobricks, hitting backspace after enabling bold or italics causes my cursor to bounce back a bunch of characters and otherwise behave oddly? Been an issue for a while. Getting sick of it.

Location: Aeristus Tags: Kawashita, Aeristus, Airplane, Military Narbilu: Commander, welcome back to Orinshi. I’ll be heading out to Mynderis with Koro and the Terrestrials, but we have a situation at Aeristus. Commander Turtle: Yes, Sir? Narbilu: The Eastern continental shoreline is exposed, and we need someone to fly recon there. We have a Sky Eye ready to go with a specialist from the Engineering Network, but we need a pilot to fly it. Who do we have available there? Comander Turtle: The only pilot we currently have is, umm, Blackhawk, Sir. Narbilu: Oh. Really? What about Jycho Tyrus or Aera Lure? Comander Turtle: Jycho is inspecting water filtration facilities on the planet, and Aera is flying a combat air patrol. Would you like me to re-assign her? Narbilu: Hmmm… No, the patrol is too important. We can’t spare Aera. Comander Turtle: Well, Colonel Brik is due back here soon. If we push it, we can send him to Aeristus, although he probably won’t be too happy about it, and it’ll still take some time. Narbilu: Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm… No, we need to get this going soon. The shoreline is too vulnerable to leave for long. Comander Turtle: Well, Sir, Blackhawk may be a bit overeager and accident prone, but he can handle a ship. He shot down two fighters and a transport on Sorn, and on Marphacia he bagged a recon unit. He should be fine once he’s in a cockpit. Narbilu: Okay. Send Blackhawk up. (shudder) Comander Turtle: I… understand, Sir… Woo hoo! The brass has an important mission, and I’M the one they picked to fly it! It goes to show how much confidence they have in my abilities! Let’s get this show in the air! So, this time it’s a Sky Eye, an AWAC and electronic warfare platform. Hey, at least it has missiles (who says EW planes have to be unarmed?). Got a systems specialist names Bard with me. He’s from the Broader Engineering Network of New Yelsian (also known as BENNY). Hope he can handle my moves! Looks like we found a bogey! Could be MANTIS. Oh, well, no time to worry about that. Fox two!!! Oh, and by the way, I think I managed to get through to the techs my… concerns. I shouldn’t have any problems with them again… So, this build started with me looking at one of the big dishes and wondering how I could use it... and I came up with the idea of an Airborne Warning And Control platform. I like the idea of arming it, as everyone expects EW planes to be unarmed... C & C's welcome and appreciated. Any ideas on how to improve would be gladly considered!

Sector 7 The Hamilton Belt - 3185 It was Koro's first time piloting his Zero in such tight conditions. The asteroids of the Belt flew past him, pinging his HUD with collision warnings. He manoeuvred through them, wishing repeatedly that Kawashita would get busy designing a single-pilot combat capable space-mech with better miniaturization. Some of the asteroids were the size of hail, and those were the dangerous ones. He was far from an ace pilot, and it was all he could do to keep the Zero intact as he closed in on the opportunist pirates that had taken up operations in the sector. He finally spotted a gun platform, its cleats lodged deep into the crust of a small asteroid. Most of the rocks in The Belt were the size of large boulders, and many of them had Awesomnium crystals visibly jutting from otherwise unremarkable balls of old rock and useless minerals. The pirates lacked the technology and know-how to extract the real wealth from those rocks, and waited to prey on mining expeditions or trade caravans just as pirates had done as far back as the nautical age. The gun platform spotted him and opened fire and, just like that, it was on. He blasted through dozens of asteroids, gun platforms, and highly-manoeuvrable spacewalker units. The Zero was more than a match for them, but Koro was troubled anyway. He noticed their discipline, the sophistication and uniformity of their equipment... something was wrong here. Very wrong. But he filed the information, and the feelings, away in some corner of his hardware. He focused on the mission, blasting the asteroids where the pirates had set up, dispersing them with judicious bursts of plasma from the Zero's triplicannons. He took on the aspect of an angry angel, delivering wrath to the darkest kind of space. Alternate Shots:

The Akena is the flagship of a new series of dreadnought produced by the Kawashita Group for its naval fleet; created with the latest technology, these huge ships are armed with heavy missile batteries and laser cannons for point defense and protected by advanced energy shields, everything makes them a formidable opponents for any other battleship. In addition there are several embarked squadrons able to attack, escort or do reconnaissance in support of the mission. The Akena-class doesn't stop there, in a galaxy to be explored each vessel must be able to carry on colonization of new planets rich in resources and the Akena-class was created thinking about this too: they are able to carry troops, vehicles and prefabricated garrisons for the colonization of any planet, as well as have the right rooms for all of this, as secluded bays and laboratories. Ventral side So, here we are with my first LEGO ship! I'm really happy about the result so I hope you will like it! Enjoy!

For my next entry into the Andromeda's Gates Role Building Game (or RBG for short, I just found out this actually is a `common` term for this sort of thingies), I went for a build of a Listening Post to spy on nearby corporations. It`s also the first time I`m going to try and weave a story with avatar pictures, so that is a first for me... *** Start Log *** Julali 2nd, AD 3825 Thesseus B. Von Geekington reporting I find myself together with Engineering Professor Sai-Saichi on the mountainous planetside of Crentium, located on the A08 grid of the Andromeda Cluster. We where send here by The Pale Lady in order to try and obtain data on the fact if MANTIS is planning any moves in this direction after the skirmishes on Guinevere, grid location A06. Well professor, I must say, so far nothing seems out of the ordinary. Yes Thessues, that might be so, but remember we thought there wouldn`t be any movements at first on Guinevere either, but then they apparantly used some sort of stealth technology to slip through our grids and establish a foothold before our first colonisers arrived. Yeah, that was pretty sneaky. Do you have any idea if this sonic listening device of you can... It`s not 'sonic', it`s 'sonar' Right, that whotnot`s then. So, do we have any idea if it would pick them up if we did that again? Errrm eeerrmmm EEERRRMM I am afraid I must report that for the moment Prof. Sai-Saichi is occupied in all kinds of serious calculations and recalibrations. Apparently, he didn`t take into account the risk of the enemy using stealth technology, so unless they step on a branch really hard, the only thing we will be hearing here is going to be the gentle rocking of the water against the cave`s entrance... *** End Log ***

(For some reason (I probably used to many small transparent slopes), the rendering took longer than the 5h I had anticipated (last week it took like 30 min with a model almost twice the size), despite using LDD to POV-Ray's lowest quality settings, so I'll only include one render this week, sorry! I added a lot of unrendered images under the Spoiler button at least! ) [K - B08] Field testing the QATC-76 "Turtle" Armored Troop Carrier on Greater Direstan So, I initially had something much smaller planned, but as usual, things spiralled out of control. The model is 1327 pieces, of which the ATC is approximately 900. The nickname comes from the design phase (basically me thinking "I want this vehicle to look like a turtle", and then making it look like a turtle). --//Transmission Begin. Date: 0706(38)15. Scramble code: afHFbfakUIHk723Af72bfbanNn.//-- Operative Q, begin log. Usually, I'm in charge of Kawashita's structural engineering operations, but due to the high frequency of pirate activities during the last weeks and our fleet drawing closer to the operations of M.A.N.T.I.S, HQ requested that my extensive background in military development was going to be put to use. In short, they wanted me to design a transport vehicle with high defensive capabilities, and I must say, I'm pretty proud of the result. The QATC-76 "Turtle" Armored Troop Carrier (also known as the QAPC-76 "Turtle" Armored Personnel Carrier) is a heavy personnel transport vehicle, using a diamagnetic levitation (DIMAGLEV)/jet hybrid in order to achieve propulsion. This ensures high mobility and limited flight capability while still being fairly energy efficient, and, most importantly, high defensive capabilities. The thing about DIMAGLEV is that it (simplified) works with the "engines" rotating, creating a strong enough directed magnetic field so that it repels the ground, thus making the ATC hover. These directed magnetic fields can also be supercharged in order to make jumps, and used in combination with the jet-propellers (which are usually used to achieve the rotation for the DIMAGLEV engines) to extend suspension, aka achieving "flight". Furthermore, the DIMAGLEV engines can be used for defensive purposes, for example by inversing them in order to create a magnetic shield which protects the QATC-76 from incoming ballistics. This, in combination with the QATC-76's ultra-hardened Awsomnium-Alloy shell which can withstand degrees up to 4750K, thus negating the effects of all but the most powerful lasers, makes the QATC-76 almost impenetrable. In regards to the field tests, the QATC-76 performed admirably. We managed to achieve speeds upwards 300km/h and jumping over 400m canyons with ease. Defensively, it managed to withstand everything we threw at it, and thanks to its mobility, it was even able to dodge both ballistics and lasers. The mounted DETF-86 rotating laser cannon worked as expected and will be standard issue with the QATC-76 (however, there will be customization options). All in all, I feel we are well prepare for what is ahead. Col. QL, out. --//Transmission End. Signature: Col. QL. Dust Demon Base (Alleged) Lesser Direstan - 3185 Koro's infiltration of the base on Greater Direstan yielded plenty of actionable intel, and he was told that it was instrumental in foiling the interference of this mysterious "Dust Demon" force. However, there's no rest for the wicked and honor doesn't grow on trees. Not in Andromeda, anyway. So Koro barely had time to sneak back out of the base before he was tasked to pursue the Dust Demons to a secondary base on Lesser Direstan. Hopefully this would bring him closer to their leader, of whom all is known is his "Commodore" callsign. Still, it seemed easy enough to sneak into a second base. Why not? Well, it was a trap. That's why not. Just as Koro cleared a tunnel and emerged out onto a grassy plateau, he realized that he'd been lured here to this very spot... "Uh oh..." ...and awaiting him was a camouflaged gundrone. An extremely dangerous adversary. His pistol wouldn't do him any good against its armor, so Koro decided that the only school was the old school. BUILDER'S NOTES: You'll probably spot the BURPs used here. I've never experimented with BURPs in a MOC before and I actually think this turned out good. The mech is based off the Desert Runner drones from Appleseed Alpha, a really pretty but kind of shallow CG anime adaptation that came out last year. There's a bunch more pics of different angles for the build on Flickr. Thanks for looking!

Desatoya Mountains Greater Direstan - 3185 Using the Less Than Zero, Koro managed to infiltrate Greater Direstan ahead of the main Kawashita expeditionary forces. He tracked the pirates he had encountered at Hamilton's Belt into a secure mountain bunker. Thanking those intrepid Kawashita engineers who invented it, he initialized his Active Camouflage and proceeded to gather as much intel as possible. Any information he acquired could be used to disrupt the pirates' plans for Greater Direstan, but more importantly he might find out who exactly is behind them... He stalks the corridors, waiting for pauses in the hum of the ventilation cyclers. He stays out of the light. He listens and tracks the patrol routes to areas of interest. He counts every minute without having to fire a shot as a significant victory. And he learns what he can: The pirates call themselves the Dust Demons. Their leader is a mean son-of-a-laser-gun that they call The Commodore. Koro files this away, along with the structural layout of the bunker and the best ways to completely devastate it before anyone even knows he's there. He imagines that after this, they'll have to call him Koro the Demonslayer or something suave like that.

[K - E10] Polar Military Base on Traig IV This is my first microbuild ever, so all kinds of CC is approciated! I had a lot more fun building this than I had initially anticipated, doing things on a microscale forces one to think in very different way than one usually does. As usual, my projects tend to become bigger than I intend... this one clocks in at a little over 1200 pieces. For scale purposes, one tile (without stud) is around 2m high. (Also, I realized why rendering was so slow last week (custom radiosity), so this week you'll get a lot of renders (one high def, and a few a little lower def)!) --//Transmission Begin. Date: 1506(38)15. Scramble code: hhakKHI7924kja29jKllflhgm.//-- Due to reports of possible imminent direct contact with Octan, HQ decided we needed to set up a forward base on Traig IV. Its mountainous islands near the poles, which are covered with thick layers of ice and snow, provide excellent opportunities for building such bases, both thanks to the strong magnetic fields eminating from them, which interfere with enemy scanning equipment, the supply of fresh water from the snow, and the opportunity for our scientists to study the planets very interesting oceanic flora and fauna. The majority of the base is located underground, including a vast hangar which can hold up to 6 Alpha Class airships (one of them which is currently landing), 50 heavy bombers and a couple of hundred smaller fighter jets, plus several different ground vehicles, including variants of the ATC-76 (which can be seen approaching the base). Some parts are located on the surface however. The living arrangements for the troops and scientists, which consists of several self propelling modules, which land on each other to form a tower of sorts, is located above ground in order to minimize the space used (for harder visual/radiation tracking) and to facilitate rapid evacuation in case of an emergency. The research facilities require daylight for particular types of experiments, so part of it is above ground. The Awsomnium tanks were just delivered via orbital delivery ships, and will be hauled into the hangar as soon as possible. Two ATCs approaching the front gate. The base from above. Col. Site 51 Aeristus - 3185 In the initial flyover, Koro surveyed the lay of the land. He could see the bizarre... void... where an ancient awesomniumgenerator from a vanished and ancient civilization had once stood. Koro was tasked to track MANTIS movements after a (short) time recovering and adjusting to his new prosthetics. But he had never expected to find this. He'd read the report Aeralure and Operative Q had filed about the lab they'd discovered underwater on Sorn. Everything in their description, especially the weird tile pattern marking the terrain, checked out with what he was seeing. He had to conclude that MANTIS was studying the site, trying to figure out how an ancient alien generator had disappeared on one planet and appeared several sectors away, on an entirely different planet. Koro didn't like thinking about the implications. Quantum Physics made his robot brain need beer. He landed the Zero mk II "Less Than Zero" a distance away from the MANTIS base and decloaked it. He could only keep it cloaked for short periods of time, and thankfully he'd been able to avoid any MANTIS patrols thus far. He could see their patrol fighters and heavy-duty ATVs crawling over the place, appropriately insect-like. He emerged from the LTZ in his brand-spanking-new Spy Suit and decided it fit pretty good and probably made him look cool, too. "Hey Narbilu-sama... thanks for the new threads. I look awesome." "Koro! Have you reached Aeristus?" "Of course!" "Then never mind how you look. Those credits weren't spent to make you look amazing and heroic like some kind of super space ninja. They were spent so you could get a closer look without MANTIS knowing." "Right. Gomen nasai! I'll get right on it, Narbilu-sama." Koro focused the Spy-Eye in his suit's sweet ninja hood, and zeroed in on the far away MANTIS landing pad. He noticed the Type 8 Aphid gunship... he noticed the two heavily armed MANTIS troopers... he noticed Wilhelm handing something to some MANTIS guy he'd never seen before... "WAIT WHAT!?" "What is it, Koro?" "I think I found Wilhelm, sir. He's... he's handing off a data packet to a MANTIS agent." "Well. That explains some of the security leaks we've had lately." "But this means he's betrayed us, Narbilu-sama." "Koro, don't get distracted from your mission." "But... honor demands that I---" "Wilhelm's day will come." "Sigh..." "Find out what you can about the Site and whatever MANTIS is learning. Then get out of there." "I could cut his head off and no one would know..." "Koro..." "Sigh... okay, okay. Wilhelm's day will come. Koro out." Builder's Note: So I hope the subject matter of this build doesn't step on any toes, but I felt like it was appropriate to not forget about Wilhelm as a character in spite of his player's... switch in loyalties. To have him as a traitor to Kawashita makes the most sense, but I'm leaving his fate open-ended until it's clear what Goliath's intentions are for him (if he has any, that is). In any case, Kawashita has to respond to a defection as being essentially a double-cross due to the sensitive information a defector has access to. Because this is a game, there are no hard feelings, but it does present an interesting opportunity for some solid RP drama and this build/story is simply an attempt to capitalize on that in the spirit of the game. Hopefully there are no objections to this. Thanks for looking!

Location: The Fascini Cluster E11 Tags: Spaceship, Kawashita, Military, The Fascini Cluster, E11 :: Aera's Diary :: 06 Julali 3815 1304 hours I left Sorn with mixed feelings. Once the fighting had ended, I began to imagine myself settling down in such a place, the quiet beauty of the endless sea and sky soothing my soul. Perhaps someday. Instead, I was offered a promotion to the rank of commander and, along with that, orders to transfer from the Ryūjō to the Murasame. Being a pilot is my life. I accepted. It's quite a change moving from a flight leader on a light escort to commander on a heavy cruiser. I welcome the challenge - I only hope my team find another flight leader who will serve them well. Having said my goodbyes, I took my leave of Sorn and the Ryūjō and took a transport to The Fascini Cluster. The Murasame is currently in The Fascini Cluster in a reserve capacity. Helmed by the highly regarded Captain Quentin Voss, I imagine it won't remain there long as his skill will be desired on the front lines. My first order of business is to assess the Murasame's pilots and to assemble a new team. While I was offered many personnel files, I opted for something a little more hands on - live-fire flight drills within the asteroids of The Fascini Cluster. Nothing better to test the resolve and skill of the pilots than mock combat in an environment like that! For a little added fun, I'll join them. I chose the Shōkaku fighter for this task. I was even able to get one done up for me in my usual red! Perks of being the commander. It couldn't be better suited, given it's extreme mobility and highly accurate blaster. We'll of course hone the frequency such that it won't do much more damage than register the hit, but it will still be able to displace some rock. I'm curious to see who uses this to their advantage. :: Entry end :: :: Aera's Diary :: 05 Julali 3815 1309 hours Oh! I almost forgot! I have to remember to send that technician some Orinshian Tea! :: Entry end :: :: Aera's Diary :: 05 Julali 3815 1926 hours Well that was even more fun than I hoped! We have some good pilots on the Murasame, as expected. I scored more than a few hits and came away clean, so even though there's room for improvement, I can work with these pilots! In the coming days I'll choose my flight and make proper introductions, as well as share more about Captain Voss and the crew of the Murasame. I'll also tour the hanger deck and get a few close ups of the Shōkaku. Truly a fine plane and I haven't talked about it much here. I'll also tour the rest of the Murasame - there's much to see! For now, however, it's reports. Tons of reports - and it's getting late! :: Entry end ::

Location: Sorn Tags: Kawashita, Sorn, Airplane, Military Now THIS is what I’m talking about!! I finally got something worth flying! It even has weapons! I guess the donut I slipped on narbilu’s desk worked. Or maybe everyone got tired of my whining. Either way, who cares?! This Peregrine is a sweet ride! It’s usually meant for air-to-ground work, but as I’m on Sorn, it’s been armed for anti-sub action. That torpedo will leave a heck of a mark on something! Can’t wait to pop it off… She’s got speed, as well as VTOL and hovering abilities. The pivoting wings and wing mounted thrusters give it added maneuverability, letting it turn like a helicopter and dodge ground fire. Gotta get this baby prepped. I got a mission to scout for any M.A.N.T.I.S. forces on Sorn. If I find any, I get to hit them hard or call in Aera and her bomber if they’re too much to handle (Man, she ALWAYS gets the cool stuff!). Let’s go stomp some Bugs!! Loading the “fish”. Man, that puppy’s big! What’s with these techs? That’s live ordinance! And it kinda hurts! Oh, well. Cast or no cast, if I can still kick the rudder pedals, I can still fly! Time for some Bug hunting! This second build was interesting. Had an idea for a plane with pivoting wings, and I built the rest of the ship around that (and the cockpit…). I figured that it was meant to be a support craft, so it didn’t have to look pretty, but I think it has a mean look to it, so I’m pleased! I do have to watch for the situations I get into. Too many more and I’ll be known as “Bad Luck” Blackhawk…

Ordered by Kawashita superiors, Wilhelm has launched an expedition to The Hamilton Belt to hear any transmissions for any alien activity. So far there has been no sign of activity in the area, so Wilhelm believes. Their old Grouper TX-51Z ship, armed with some classic plasma cannons on the sides is ready to deal with any hostiles that may pose a threat to Kawashita explorers. The Grouper, of course, is inspired by the "Goliath Grouper", an ancient specie of fish found on Earth. The ship may be slow but it sure is a juggernaut and is built to last... for a while.

It looks secure, but their security protocols are very poor. I guess they don't have visitors often. Stun gun is fully charged, combat analysis probe is deployed. Injecting stimulants and engaging the enemy." "All enemies subdued. Heart rate up 20% from usual, adrenaline levels up 200%, accuracy up 1.7%, reflex speed up 30%. Mission successful, awaiting retrieval." The door opens! Okay, in future I'm making sure I edit out the background before I shrink the pictures.

I had these bad boys floating around since early March but never got around to posting them up. I have some time, so here they are! Believe it or not, the ideas all came from my idle thought "What would a llama mech tank look like?" and everything flowed. The first one I designed is a main battle tank tachikoma, the M8Puller "Guanaco." All these designs are based off this, and it's got a detailed interior with room for 2 crew, 4 opening hatches, a removable roof, poseable legs, and swiveling .50-cal machine gun up top. Plus, for added Think Tanky-ness, I stuck two Phalanx II CIWS's on the back, ostensibly as anti-aircraft gunnery controlled by an onboard AI. Named after Lewis "Chesty" Puller, the most decorated Marine of all time and a figure of legend in the Corps. Next ups is a more llamaoid command variant, with extra space for a platoon commander's cupola. A little bit less firepower, more C&C capability. Aptly named after Archibald Henderson, longest-serving Commandant and the man who defined the Marines as an amphibious force. Finally, the transport variant. Fewer guns, more cargo space! Comments and criticism are more than welcome- I'd love to hear what you think!

Diligence, a beauty of a vessel, First and hopefully not the last of her class. With it's Prototype Energy Core and advanced capabilities, there isn't much this 150-man vessel cannot do. This is one beauty of a ship. I can't wait to get onboard and explore it. Captain: I am Captain Thomas Duponte of the O.C.S. Diligence and you are late. Ragnos: my apologies, nobody told me I was even assigned to this vessel until 15 minutes ago. Captain: well, Chief, at least you are here now. Meet your fellow Bridge Crew, Lieutenant Cody Meirs and Lead Science Officer Frazz. Frazz: Can't talk... ...Theory needs solving. Running algorithms. Cody: Hey Chief, nice to meet you. When you've gotten settled, could you come look at my Food Dispencer. Only creates Bacon for some reason, not that that's entirely a bad thing. Captain: Now that the pleasantries are over, we should go to the bridge. Captain Duponte to the Dilligence, beam us up. 2 minutes later. Captain: Set target coordinates to 843,421 and take us out of here. ------------------------------------------- Additional pictures and the new sigfig can be found here: http://m.imgur.com/gallery/iV5Us My first Micro-Moc, think it turned out relatively well. I'm experimenting with different ways to tell the story and I'm not entirely sure this method is any good but alas, I can't get on my computer for a while and upload pictures for each character so I will leave it like this for now. My next project will be for the challenge but I'm not sure what I will build. Can't decide between a farm, a ship converted into a home or an apartment. How built up is Farmolis? Is it like a second earth or is it closer to a colony?
