  1. Well, it's perhaps some inspiration or ideas might have been borrowed ? Or not.
  2. Now that's different.......a male not into Lego, but his female partner is. I'm considering building a custom version of the GE.......but I need the DO first, then the PR.
  3. Thanks to everyone so far who have commented, I'm very grateful for the feedback and positive vibes. I'm currently working on a second floor to try out how it looks.......a redesigned second floor from the GG but it will have an interior. Now that chrome part......used up to 2004 many model team sets. Keep watching !
  4. Ah, they've been stolen......get Ace on to it as well ! The more I see photos of it......the more I want to get this set.
  5. I voted for carpenter, but I consider it's equal the evil wizard.....only because he looks like Ming from Flash Gordon......that might make me do some sci-fi MOC's in the future.
  6. Great looking layout there 'technic70s'........how many did you and your wife make ? Brick On !
  7. I'm getting old so I don't read everything ! You can regenerate a new sticker easily......I've done it more than once.
  8. Oh, wow........X-wings causing huge water sprays.....that's different but smegging AWESOME ! I guess over the coming months more little tit-bits of the film will come out and who is going to be the first to MOC that speeder bike ?
  9. Thanks 'mrdo', and actually that new saw piece will feature in my Aussie country town hardware store MOC. I'm seriously thinking about a second floor to keep everyone happy...........maybe.....so keep watching !
  10. A lady cyclops with lipstick.....most of the chat has been about that......look at it this way how is that girl only to hook up with a male cyclops if she doesn't look pretty eh ?
  11. Thanks 'Pop Bumper Pete'.....I used Google Images to find pictures of old hardware store exteriors and interiors. Back say a hundred years ago hardware stores didn't really sell lumber (timber)......you had to go to a lumber yard.....though some had their own hardware store attached to the yard. Now on the single storey issue, there were many single storey hardware stores over a hundred years ago.......that's the era I have based the building on. Though I decided to give the floor the GG treatment. Back in the past, now you can see where some of the ideas might have come from, I also decided sometimes less means more just have a few basic pointers.....mainly due to the size of the interior 12x14 stud. Even in present day, some of these hardware stores still live.......mainly in the USA......very few are like this outside of the America. Single storey. Two storey......my design would have to have a rear stair case to reach a second storey......I would need to see what the DO and PR look like with it stuck in the middle......like meat in a modular sandwich. Keep watching !
  12. Yep, there is two in 1x1 vertical clip bricks by the back door......pool table near a dart board might get a little dangerous ?
  13. Well, see I can have option of doing that in the future......but money is pretty tight at the moment, a lot of the GG went it my project here. Thanks for the positive vibes 'kevin8'.
  14. Gee, where did I read that before ......well, lets see tools on the front, a barrel of nails, rack of tools as well and big hardware drawers behind the counter.....I'll fix up the front window a.s.a.p......so keep watching !
  15. Thanks, I weighed up my options on the scale designs..... ...keep watching !
  16. Now that is a delightful digitally created Christmas scene 'Yooha'......Brick On LDD On !
  17. Ah, the 377's Shell sign has a larger Shell sticker than the one on there.......I should know I got one when they first came to Oz all those years ago. Aw, the snack bar too.....but no snack bar sign ? Keep going 'SJF'......you are bringing back good memories for me thanks and Brick On !
  18. Thanks 'Withacee' and 'Pop Bumper Pete' for your kind words, it took a while but a brain storm hit me and four parts later......a set of old scales. I'm thinking of modifying the front windows to include some painting and plumbing gear......keep watching !
  19. Ah, but by the sounds of it.....your Lego is your children......just like some pets are to some couples. Pity my wife doesn't want to join in....there are quite a few female AFOLs in Adelaide.
  20. Thanks 'jamesn' and it would if you lived about 80 or 90 years ago. Don't let the crockery fool you, hardware stores a hundred years ago sold everything from nails, tea sets, tennis rackets and even guitars......Elvis brought his first guitar at an old hardware store.
  21. I don't smoke and drink little......but self employment sometimes is not good for buying Lego ! Though I had enough this week to buy the few bits to make my modular.
  22. The new DO set coming got me fired up to try and do another modular so I present my latest MOC. The drawers behind the counter do open and you can place small items in them. This is going to go on the left of the DO when I get it.....one day, the other side might be the PR.....not sure, cash is a problem sometimes. Keep watching !
  23. AWESOME digital designs there 'ScotNick'......please do return with more MOC's ! Brick On LDD On 'ScotNick' !
  24. Don't forget to replace the pin with something else or the neck will break since the pin goes right down through the top of the torso.....it needs strength.
  25. I think she is the only one.......I think most of us male AFOL's have to sneek in sets, etc., so they don't find out. Now I'm only planning on getting the PR and DO so my modular MOC (unconstruction at the moment) has friends to be with.
