  1. I'm still gatering stuff for a , got the wood and glue, just need thin foam and black vinyl, god I'm lazy but will get there in the end.
  2. Lego lights are quite expensive, you can pick up battery powered led xmas lights for next to nothing and rewire them, thats if your tight like me.
  3. Thats a good idea, I've seen these salt water cars around on amazon but I think they make hydrogen, lol. Attach a valve from a bicycle inner tube to a pop bottle top, pump it up, connect the bike pump attachment to the lego pipes and then onto the valve, similar to a bottle rocket but with no water... http://www.bbc.co.uk...lerockets.shtml
  4. I can see piter making a dry ice fighting robot in the future. I just rememberd the sodastream fizzy drinks maker, the empty co2 canisters you can take to supermarkets and swap for a full one for a small fee, I think you can make dry ice with these. http://www.amazon.co.uk/SodaStream-Spare-Litre-Gas-Cylinder/dp/B005ERICB8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1395831493&sr=8-1&keywords=soda+stream+canister
  5. That would be fun, has anything like lego robot wars been on this forum?
  6. Lots of features in a small space and that folding roof could well start a trend, very nice.
  7. Blow though the pipe, its pressurised co2 Thats how I clean my pc, blowing though a straw is much cheaper than buying canisters.
  8. CO2 is what they used in Robot Wars because is was powerful, could throw 100kg in air, butane not a good idea lol.
  9. I would also like to know this, the warp function of photoshop could do this but it would look a lot better if it was part of the render. At a guess when using ldd2pov check 'Declare Each Brick Separatley' in the scene tab, find the brick you want to add texture to in the .pov file and add the texture.
  10. Night it is, do you think it needs a moon?
  11. Honda ATC by JM1971 LXF I would like to add this, thanks.
  12. Cant go wrong with a black 9398, looks even better with lights.
  13. Try contacting the guy that made LDD2POV... http://ldd2povray.lddtools.com/index.php?p=1_10_Contact He's quite helpful.
  14. For the rendering section one picture is allowed and one only, I can't decide which one though.
  15. Just found this out, add this line to the top of the .pov file. #declare ldd_normal_roughPlastic_255 = normal { bumps .005 scale 1 turbulence 0 }
  16. Use the..force..ruler..luke..doc.
  17. Controllers need far too many batteries, there should be connectors so when you attach more than one together they all run off one unit or a psu.
  18. Love the trials bike, reminds me of not going to school, those things are scarey.
  19. My entry for the competition, all done in one render, view the HD image below to see clearer. 1920x1080 http://www.brickshel...ouse/render.png LXF http://www.brickshel...dream_house.lxf F1 car from this moc, scale is 30% of original. http://www.brickshel...ouse/render.txt
  20. Also looking forward to that rally car very much As for building, I usually place the wheels first and hope everything fits, lolz.
  21. After building I can say very professional job of design, instructions are very compact and efficient which is great for printing or using laptop/monitor, there is room for PF so I'll try that next.
  22. I wonder if 4 actuators connected to 4 m-motors from set 8043 could do the job, will have to find out.
  23. Very good at squashing your nuts.
  24. The 9398 and 51999 are a tad too heavy for the suspension and both lean slightly to one side, this lighter design appears not to lean at all, I like the headlights, rear light and overall shape, that competition was such a learning experience.
