I found with one of my m motors there is a crack on the connector plastic and it can either not work or lose power, bring back the old connecters that were completely removable and repairable, these new motors are designed to not last very long so you have to buy new ones when the cable breaks and it will because there are 4 wires and a break in any one will make it useless. PS. I think the cheap AAA or standard AA box has more power than the lipo, did you try another box in case there is a fault.

LDD Exploded Instructions
JM1971 replied to JM1971's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
It my first attempt and there are mistakes, it takes quite a bit of lateral thinking to follow but I did manage to build it and the car does work, however dont expect 2 L Motors to give F1 performance lol. -
Something like 18 people made the picture, so it ok that one person entered it? Maybe a prison can be a dream home, just add nail up a 'home sweet home' sign and its all good.

"One entry per member per class.", I noticed one entry had about 20 people that contributed to it.

My 9398 Crawler Build
JM1971 replied to JohnR33's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hulk minifigs also look good in the driver seat lol, good to see someone enjoying a very cool set. -
900 part model on 26 pages lol, working in reverse by pulling parts off the model and taking screenshots (ctrl-K) of before and after using undo redo to set the ideal camera position, once the before and after are captured I used photoshop to put both screenies on one page. Full PDF: https://www.dropbox.com/s/t1wtj83hbro4hsu/42000_RC.pdf Saves loads of paper and ink.

LDD Update anytime soon?
JM1971 replied to kangmingjie's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Will they ever add the L-Motor and Servo? This years new swingloader has both plus 9398 and 41999 have them making it 3 official sets they are in. -
Thats right, like the combi instructions you could get at toy shops many years ago, uses about 60 parts from set 9398 hence the red stripes running forward from the cockpit, the wings and suspension are unchanged apart from a few bits locking the rear DRS wing into place, the steering wheel also works with the steering.

Removed 42000 functions and replaced them with servo, 2 L motors, Battery Box and Receiver, body has been widened to fit it all in, its not been built yet and some half decent instructions on the way, LFX file for study, Servo and L Motors are not present in LDD so there is a empty space where they should be. 4K Exploded View. My 9398 Crawler Build

Best set ever, well maybe ties with the 41999. -
What about liquid from cpu coolers to power the piston engine, something like an XL motor powering the pump to the cylinders. Balrog knows his stuff, one little static spark is all it takes, this happens at gas stations, people start the pump and get back into their cars to get something and the static builds up because of the friction of them getting in and out the car then they reach for the pump and the spark ignites escaping vapours.

April fools or not its an impressive crane, I cant see lego doing this because the box would be huge.

New Personal Speed Record
JM1971 replied to gregorijs3kivi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Dunno but I use a speed calc from the net and check it again with different calc, taking a video and using a video editor to show an accurate time of the run would work proberbly well enough to get a decent result. -

LDD removing bricks upon opening a file
JM1971 replied to Cara's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
That is annoying when it happens, there is usually a work around like you found, sometimes you can build it a different way or use something like a levered 15 beam to move the part a tiny bit. -
Can I add this scaled down 9398 rock crawler to my house? Merged two .pov files so its actually there and done in one render, its not photoshopped. Doesent quite look right go with white roses next to it.
