@papacharly, just a quick question about your walls, are they 2x2 bricks or flat tiles?

[Software] LDD2PovRay
JM1971 replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Are you running the .ini or .pov in povray? That error happens when running the .pov, if so then load the .ini and run that. -
[Software] LDD2PovRay

Did you close ldd2pov and povray before deleting, also any .pov and .inc files that are related to the error. -

Delete the whole LDD2POV folder which the ldd_defailt_colors.inc files was in and when you convert a ldd file it all gets replaced. -

[Software] LDD2PovRay
JM1971 replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Editing the ldd_default_colors.inc will crash ldd2pov if it is not the exact same size as is it by default, you can add/remove spaces to do that. But a better way is press on the object in ldd to reveal the colour number in the bottom left of the screen, then add a colour declaration just after.. #include "ldd_default_colors.inc" In the .pov file. Colour declaration... #declare ldd_colors[47] = rgb <255/255, 255/255, 255/255>; Example: colour 47 set to white. -
Life-size LEGO Rose
JM1971 replied to Milan's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
So difficult to do with lego as there are no straight lines in nature, very nice. -
04 came into the comp early and looked a winner, 30 came in near the end along with some really good entries around the same time, its then I knew I had no chance. An incredible amount of effert went into some of the entries, until you do a few comps you don't realize how hard some people push to get perfection, it can affect health even.

+1, but no propane, butane or napalm. -
Voting finished, did any members do a unofficial count? 4 and 30 seemed to get loads of points. Comps on eurobricks is really high standard.

PF Wiring Question
JM1971 replied to Blakbird's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
With four wires PF is far more likely to fail and is very difficult to repair, lego designed PF this way to make more money? -

Proberbly wouldent do them any good lol and its just something I seen in the hunt for red october, I just noticed the 6 big 36t gears could help it along if the waterline was at the center of them all. -

The wheels do stay above the water a fair bit so paddles could be used on the inside and or outside of the wheels, also V shaped tread by glueing strips of rubber onto a old tyre but thats a bit crude, maybe worm gears going the entire length would work, pressurise the tank for more buoyancy and it could also be used to fire a secret weapon. -

Just needs a slope into the water and it can get in and out of the water easily, the closer the fan tip are to cowling the more performance in the water there should be though that may make little difference. Did you watch the banana splits when you was a kid, because I always wanted those 6x6 they drove? Would make a great add on to your rock crawler course having a lake in the middle, it would draw people in from miles around if you do another exhibition in the future. -
Tely's fart powered jacuzi lol. Did anyone know he's changed the picture after voting started? EDIT: And has more than 10 votes, I would be angry if it werent so funny, lolz.
