Better Speed Adjustment M-motor
JM1971 replied to elx's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Could get a lego extention cable and put a potentiometer (like a hifi volume control) inbetween, I'm not exactly sure why PF needs 4 wires and which ones to put the potentiometer on. -
EV3 Holonomic Robot
JM1971 replied to Aswin's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Is that like delta angles in games programming so the game character goes in the right direction in relation to the view point in a 3D world? -
Very good soution so 4 servos for active suspension, a servo for steering, 2 L or XL motors for propusion and maybe skid steering thrown in, I dont have the first clue how the giro works but it needs to work not just sideways but also front to back, so whatever you put the vehicle on it would automatically try to stay level, were not talking williams F1 active suspension here but it should ride over bumps and stay level on inclines as long and its not going too fast for the servos to keep up.

[REVIEW] 9398 B-Model Review
JM1971 replied to legomuppet9's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Years ago lego would create new models using existing sets or combinations of sets, these booklets you could buy at stores were great and I still have one, 2 models from so many parts of the 9398 is not much. -

EV3 Holonomic Robot
JM1971 replied to Aswin's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
No one expects high standards and thats why I like this forum, I'll be getting ev3 later in the year so I'll bookmark this for now because it looks quite interesting. Anyone that can use LDRAW has talent, thats one tough app to use. -

Fiat Panda 4x4
JM1971 replied to piterx's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling

Fiat Panda 4x4
JM1971 replied to piterx's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Someone has made some quite good looking PF parts for LDD with existing bricks. They could be used instead of having to use ldraw. -
Fiat Panda 4x4
JM1971 replied to piterx's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I'll get some wheels, cv joints, steering rack on order soon, most of the rest I have from other sets. My friend had a fwd fiat panda some years ago and people made fun of the seats but that car ran forever and a day. -
[WIP] Third Party Motor
JM1971 replied to MrNumbskull13's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Could always double up on the gears like this tamiya gearbox to spread the load. Does that motor have enough power for flight?, because its looks like it to me. :D -
[MOC] Slammborghini Gallardo
JM1971 replied to Lego Junkie's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Stanced is the latest modding craze, that is until cars start flying into ditches . -
Fiat Panda 4x4
JM1971 replied to piterx's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
After looking again at the LDD, it might be easier to serperate body, chassis, bonnet, doors then convert seperatly and do part counts to make sure nothing got lost. Only piterx knows how all the insides fit together properly and hopefully its not too much work to finish.
