  1. @ GDomino: Welcome to Eurobricks! Are those tires the RC4WD Dick Cepek 1.9 Giant Pulling Tires mounted on two Lego 44772 wheels, side-by-side? If so, we'll have to add them to the "Third Party Tires for Lego Technic Rims" topic. Specifications: Outer Diameter: 4" (101.6mm) Width: 2.74" (69.7mm) Inner Diameter: 1.9" (48mm) Very Aggressive Tread Custom designed rubber formula Reinforced sidewall Each tire weight: 4.5 oz / 127 g
  2. @ JohannesESTONIA: We cannot yet see your Brickshelf pictures because they have not been "made public" (moderated). So far, only YOU can see those pictures. However, you could "Deeplink" your pictures by using these procedures, so we may see them now. On the weekends, new Brickshelf pictures may take 2-3 days for the moderator to ""make public." You could post them on Flickr (with the first 200 pictures free of charge), and people can see them immediately.
  3. Here is Sheepo's of his excellent Caterham Seven:
  4. Welcome to Eurobricks! Have you seen Blakbird's Technicopedia to learn more about the old Technic sets?
  5. @ Electricsteam: Perhaps you could adapt Nico71's Loom Machine to weave paper instead of yarn.
  6. @ puffo: Legofan8070 mounted his Lego Power Functions switch in the back of his 9398 4x4 Crawler (YouTube video): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXVIwCIqWxA
  7. Nice modifications -- I don't think I've ever seen Lego Power Functions Receivers mounted below the chassis before!
  8. @ Paul Boratko: See this recent Eurobricks post for the 2H2013 Technic B-Model pictures.
  9. @ piterx: For future reference, you can see the various Lego tire+wheel combinations on this Bricklink "Tire On Wheel Relationships" webpage. Alternatively, you can use the "Visual Lego Wheel Helper". It may be more useful than this "Tire On Wheel" Relationships chart available on Bricklink because it uses 45-DEGREE SIDE VIEWS of the wheels and tires so one can fully see the assemblies.
  10. 1. More weight 2. More expense 3. Less ground clearance
  11. @ puffo: I looked at the "compact fully motorized lego technic 42006 excavator" option that you found on , and like it a lot. In addition to needing the standard 42006 set, it has "2 L-motors, 4 M-motors, 3 IR receivers and 2 battery boxes squeezed into the original dimensions of the LEGO #42006 excavator. Modification based on larger version by piolopakwann. 12. @ pint14: Yes, by all means, buy that 8880! It's a classic, must-have set!
  13. @ piterx: Thanks for sharing -- you're a good man.
  14. @ technicman97: Once you get 10 posts, you will see a red "Start New Topic" button on the right-hand side of the Eurobricks Forum topic list. You will also be able to send Eurobricks Private Messages (PMs) to other Eurobricks members by clicking on the "envelope"-type icon at the top-right corner of the screen.
  15. @ technicman97: You cannot create a new Eurobricks topic until you have at least 10 Eurobricks posts; read this Eurobricks Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) webpage (scroll 1/4 way down). You should also read this Index of Tutorials for Eurobricks newcomers.
  16. @ Cwetqo: You must me this Technic.Lego.com Designers 4/29/2013 Blog entry concerning the upcoming (2H2013) 42009 Mobile Crane MK II set.
  17. Nice work -- it looks like the real thing:
  18. @ legotechnicblue: Try this free download of WinZip (which has been around for many years).
  19. I don't know -- maybe Technic fans just liked the size of the 8288 Crawler Crane's boom:
  20. @ JohannesESTONIA: It's tough to overcome the sun's infrared (IR) light when using the Power Functions (PF) Infrared Remote Control. However, it may be possible to use a polarizer filter (in front of the transparent plastic on the PF IR Remote and PF IR Receiver) to filter out some of the sun's IR light.
  21. @ TwentyLeggedHen: JB Weld epoxy is found at Lowe's, Home Depot, and many other hardware stores in the USA:
  22. You could power SOME of the Lego Power Functions motors if you had multiple PF Receivers and PF Remotes (clipped together, side-by-side). Each set of Receivers+Remotes would be set on a given PF Channel. There is no automatic way to get a PF Receiver to change channels. If you only had one PF Remote, you could select a different channel to get the other motors to run. Read this NXTPrograms.com article on the "Power Functions Remote Control Sensor" for "...two ways to make a Power Functions IR Receiver act as a sensor for an NXT, so that you can build projects that combine the NXT with Power Functions parts and control both the Power Functions and NXT parts with the Power Functions IR Remote Control."
  23. @ dren0ma: You may be able to use the 2853 "Technic Engine Crankshaft" to get your 1/2-stud offset:
  24. @ 1nxtmonster and Someonenamedjon: To imbed a YouTube video into your Eurobricks post, just copy the URL and paste it DIRECTLY into your message (without using any prefixes like [ media ] or anything like that). You will have to make sure that all extraneous text is stripped-off of the URL, so it is in a simplified, standard format. Here is an example on what to do with the video that 1nxtmonster tried to post; I'm inserting a space after the initial "http://" and "www" in the text below so that you can see all of the text string without it getting shortened. Here is the Initial URL when looking at it on YouTube: [https:// www. youtube.com/watch?v=Gtcr8hznKBU ]. . If you copy/paste that string (without the space after the https:// or www) into Eurobricks, it won't work because it must be http:// and NOT https:// . If you get rid of the "s", it will look like this: http:// www. youtube.com/watch?v=Gtcr8hznKBU . Again, in this example, I inserted a space after the http:// and www only so you can see the full text string. Once I remove the spaces, the HTML will hyperlink it and create your link. If you "Preview" your post, you can tell if Eurobricks successfully displays your video window; if not, you did something wrong. Here is the video once the "s" and spaces are removed from the example above: Sometimes, people post videos that start with Youtu.be or something like that. The standard format should be as shown above. If the format of your URL is not youtube.com/watch?v=ABCDEFGH123, then it probably won't work. In his post above, Timslegos successfully copied/pasted the YouTube URL as http:// www. youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=Gtcr8hznKBU , but I just strip off all the extra text to simplify it to the simple, basic text string above. Sometimes the URL has size information, etc. -- strip that all out. Every YouTube video has a unique 11-character letter/number code -- get to the format http:// www . youtube.com/water?v=ABCDEFGH123 and it will work for you.
  25. Whoa -- with the size of that main gun, it looks to be a Tracked Howitzer:
