@ Ramacco: I'm afraid that the LDD Parts Palette does not have the 36-tread-link, "Non-Technic" rubber tread/track. I did a "Search" in LDD for the term "Track", and it only has the 680c01 TECHNIC one referenced in my post above -- it's LDD Part Number 53992. For future reference, you can find whether a Bricklink Part Number exists in LDD by doing the LDD Search (in the white box at the top-left corner of the LDD screen, above the Parts Palette).

@ Ramacco: I see (from your LDD .lxf file) that the Lego Technic Tread ("track") that you selected is labeled Part "71372" (which is not in Brlcklink for some reason). This is different from the x1681 "Tread Large, Non-Technic (36 tread 'links')" that is on the 8547 Lego Mindstorms NXT 2.0 Parts List Inventory on Bricklink (pictured below). I believe that the LDD Part "71372" is supposed to represent the Bricklink 680c01 "Tread Large, Technic (34 tread 'links')" (pictured below), which fits on the 32007 "Technic Tread Hub" (which IS in the LDD Parts Palette):

As part of SeTechnic's 16th Contest, PG52 / PG5200 posted this great Lego Technic Fire Truck which has both Lego Pneumatics and Linear Actuator mechanisms. His (narrated in French) shows it in action. Read more about it on SeTechnic (in the original French and in this English translation). One can change the Google Translate "To" language to match your native language for better understanding.

Lego Technic 2h 2013
DLuders replied to sama's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
It's probably because the cost of labor, materials, shipping, marketing, etc. is going up (like for everything else).- 902 replies

WIP: Large model downtown city Part 2
DLuders replied to alienwar9's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
@ spyrak: By clicking on Alienwar9's profile, I could see that he has not been active on Eurobricks since Aug 31, 2012 (5-1/2 months ago). Nevertheless, I had collected his LDD .lxf files and have just e-mailed them to you (9 MB total, mostly in ZIP files). He WARNED us that many of his his LDD files involve 30,000+ virtual bricks, so your computer may crash! -
@ rm8: That's OK -- a black-and-yellow "The Boss" Crawler looks pretty good as-is!

I don't know about you, but "The Boss" should NOT be in these LEGO Friends-type colors!

Be sure to head over to TechnicBRICKS to participate in the poll THERE on "Which Exclusive Color?" rm8's "The BOSS" model should have! "The colors added into the poll are (some of these were used in Technic sets from the past): Bright Pink Dark Azure [i.e., the hue that is halfway between Blue and Cyan] Dark Blue Dark Green Dark Purple Dark Red Dark Tan Dark Turquoise (Teal) - This one seams quite popular among some of you, but it is not in the current LEGO Color Palette. Lavender Magenta Medium Blue Olive Green Purple Reddish Brown Sand Blue Sand Green Tan"

Dump truck
DLuders replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
@ Zblj: I really like that linkage design! I have been trying to build a powerful dump bed Linear Actuator lifting mechanism to lift heavy loads like that, but I never could get it right. Your design is simple yet elegant. The LA in your video really shows its power. Would you mind if I incorporated your linkage design into a MOC I've been wanting to build for years?- 12 replies

Technicopedia
DLuders replied to Blakbird's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
No, I'm not "stalking" him at all. I've met him at Lego conventions -- nice fellow! We live in the same US state, and there aren't a lot of Lego Technic AFOLs around here! I respect him a lot. -
Turntable for a....."Tank"
DLuders replied to OrangeKNight's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
@ OrangeKNight: Have you seen the pictures that Sariel posts about his Lego Technic tanks? There are some details you could utilize in your model. Be sure to look at the "Older Entries" on that webpage, since he must have built at least 13 tanks over the years. -
Technicopedia
DLuders replied to Blakbird's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Blakbird is very busy lately making Lego Technic Building Instructions for complex sets, and probably doesn't have free time to expand the Technicopedia history from 1996 onwards. Nevertheless, his Blakbird's Technicopedia website is a valuable resource for the "classic" Technic sets. Often, his website runs out of bandwidth (due to frequent visitors), so if he added more recent sets, the website would get bogged down. He pays for the computer server expense for hosting his website, as a service to the Lego Technic community. Blakbird owns ALL of the Lego Technic sets ever made, so what he doesn't post on his website is in his memory banks! -

Battery box assembly help
DLuders replied to Marins's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
@ Marins: Welcome to Eurobricks! I'm trying to figure out (from your picture below) which Lego Battery Box you own. Can you look at this 4-page Bricklink list and tell us which one you have? It looks like you MAY have the 5115 9V Battery Box, but I'm not sure.... -
