  1. Here are two more official Lego Technic TV Commercials posted by MrLegocommercials / SUB 4 MORE on his YouTube Channel: Lego Technic 8297 Off Roader (from 2008): Lego Technic 8258 Crane Truck (from 2009):
  2. On his YouTube Channel, MrLegocommercials / SUB 4 MORE posted several of the official Lego Technic TV Commercials: Lego Technic 8285 Tow Truck (from 2006): Lego Technic 8275 Motorized Bulldozer (from 2007):
  3. On Flickr, 1brick posted a photo of that EVan robot (which uses the upcoming Lego Mindstorms EV3 brick as its "heart"):
  4. WIth 9 hours to go in the eBay Charity Auction, there are now 33 bids and the top bid is USD $915. Maybe it will break the USD $1,000 threshold....
  5. Here is a Lego "Model Team"-type MOC -- my Lego Digital Designer (LDD) model of a 1990 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. It features an opening hood (bonnet) and rear tailgate, a working V4 engine, and folding front seats. It uses 643 parts and has 216 steps in the LDD Building Guide. The LDD .lxf Building Instruction file is available for download here. I used the LDD to POV-Ray Converter software for the renders. The model has been posted on Rebrickable so you can build one if you'd like. Also see my Flickr photoset.
  6. This MOC has been added to Rebrickable, so you can easily see what Bricklink parts you need to build one yourself!
  7. [bUMP] Here is a (by kalum horrocks) that shows this Lego Mindstorms NXT Electric Guitar in action:
  8. @ midengineaddict: Nice crawler! I'm wondering how you are able to run the Power Functions L-Motors on (what I think are) Version 1 PF Receivers? I don't see any "V2" lettering on your second-to-last image above.
  9. @ Paul Boratko: Ooh, I didn't realize that some of those parts were so expensive -- my apologies. You never know -- there could be a last-minute surge of bidding tomorrow (when the auction ends) -- there is definitely interest in your model among certain Technic AFOLs! No matter how it ends up, you should be thanked for your generosity and consideration to the "Make-A-Wish" Foundation kids.
  10. @ Kronos: Since the (Bricklink Part Number) 64782 "Technic, Panel Plate 1 x 5 x 11" only appeared IN ORANGE in the (licensed) 8110 Unimog set, I suppose you're correct. @ davidmull:
  11. Yes, probably, but you should dial 1-800-838-9647 (Lego Customer Service in the USA) and ask them yourself. "Lego Direct" IS Lego Customer Service (which is listed at the bottom-left corner of the Shop.Lego.com website). They say that they "...are available 8am to 10pm EST Monday - Friday and 10am to 6pm EST Saturday and Sunday. The best time to call us is between 10am - 8pm (EST) Monday - Friday." You will need a Credit Card, and this Lego Element ID for the orange 5x11 Lego Technic Panel (which I got from the PDF Parts List at the back of the 8110 Unimog U400's official Building Instructions, Booklet 5): 4580014 . That number tells The Lego Group the specific part AND its color. The Bricklink Part Number means nothing to them. IF one knows the Lego Element ID, one can order up to 10 different line items of Lego parts that are in sets produced within the last 5 years. Popular parts sell out quickly, and once they're "Sold Out", The Lego Group doesn't make replacements to satisfy demand. One USED TO BE ABLE to order 15 different line items, but that was reduced to 10 because two old ladies in the "Parts Picker" department got too tired filling orders! As far as I know, there is no stated limit on the NUMBER of parts one can get in each Line Item.
  12. Well then, deeplink your pictures so we can see what your MOC looks like! The Brickshelf moderator won't make your pictures "public" until Sunday night (typically), but if you "deeplink" them we can see them now.
  13. Hey, $805 is a REAL NICE donation to a charity (considering that the model uses no more than $300 worth of parts). Last year's $1,626 final bid was a bit "over the top", so maybe it's unrealistic to expect a bid in that stratosphere again.
  14. @ Rishab N: Do you have some extra Technic Panels and rechargeable PF battery box to cover up the rear-end "baboon butt", like this?
  15. @ efferman: I'm not sure whether you are already aware of this (or whether you MOC will be using these or not), but Saberwing40k made a LDD File of the Lego Power Functions L-motor and Servo-motor, and posted it here. You can see how he built up the equivalent pinhole locations: They represent Bricklink Part 99498c01, "Light Bluish Gray Electric, Motor 9V Power Functions Servo with Dark Bluish Gray Bottom". ...and Bricklink Part 99499c01, "Electric, Motor 9V Power Functions L with Dark Bluish Gray Bottom."
  16. Yes, that is correct. You can buy the missing Power Functions items directly from Shop.Lego.com (use the "Change Region" link at the top-right corner to match your country & native language). To learn more about the Lego Power Functions system (and how everything works together), see this Powerfunctions.Lego.com website. The "Frequenty-Asked Questions" (FAQ) webpage is very useful.
  17. @ OleBM: Welcome to Eurobricks! There's probably nothing wrong with your motor. On this webpage, Philo (Philippe Hurbain) describes the Lego Power Functions Servo Motor in detail. He noted that "Like RC servos, its output turns within a limited range (-90° to +90°) in response to a control signal. Being a Power Functions range member, it is fully integrated with this system, and receives its commended position through C1/C2 lines, and its power from supply lines. On a normal motor, C1/C2 duty cycle directly control motor speed, here they set the angular position of the shaft."
  18. @ Rishab N: All of your Brickshelf images have not yet been "made public" (moderated), so we cannot see them. Could you "Deeplink" them by following these procedures? So far, only YOU can see your Brickshelf images. In the meantime, there is a way of making a working steering wheel -- see this YouTube video of which has these features: 2WD forward & backward driving R/C. Working V10 engine. Left & right steering R/C. Working steering wheel & rear steering wheel. Basic power functions also R/C. Front & back lights. Modified body parts. 1 x Lego 8070, 1 x reciver, 1 x remote controll, 2 x Lego 8293 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5qLCz_0Vf8
  19. The 2444 "Plate, Modified 2 x 2 with Pin Hole" needs a Technic Pin to be firmly attached to the protruding axles on the 42009:
  20. As noted before, there are numerous pictures of the Lego Technic 42009 Mobile Crane MkII set on this Hobbymedia.it webpage. On Flickr, The Bicycle Story made a circle around this unfinished-looking area -- what do you think it is for?
  21. Yes, that was one of the complaints noted in the official Lego Mindstorms Review webpage of the device.
  22. [bUMP] PA Nilsson posted this of a "Lego Technic 8649 Nitro Menace driving by itself. Controlled by CyberMaster brick [which came with the Lego Technic 8482 set (pictured below), and with the 8483 set]. Two sensors in the front bumper and one to have it center steering and go almost straight". The Cybermaster 71797 Cybermaster Unit is fairly rare.
