Yes, those tires were on larger Lego Technic wheels however. I wrote that "I received a set of four Mickey Thompson 1.55 Baja MTZ Scale Tires ( http://store.rc4wd.com/Mickey-Thompson-155-Baja-MTZ-Scale-Tires_p_1433.html ), and mounted them on Sariel's Jeep Wrangler Rubicon (which uses the Lego 41896 "Wheel 43.2mm D. x 26mm Technic Racing Small, 3 Pinholes"). The appearance is thinner than the Lego balloon tires, but is perhaps a more realistic "scale" tire like one would find in the real world":

@ crazy_1993: Now that you have created the Lego Digital Designer (LDD) .lxf file for your 9398 Highway Enforcer (and provided the link on this first post), would you mind if I submitted to Rebrickable? I have been granted some minimal admin rights on that website by Nathan Thom (Technicmad), and would do all the legwork to post YOUR model and give YOU full credit for everything. By posting it there, more people would have a chance to enjoy your MOC. Rebrickable has a feature whereby one could say that they already owned the 9398 4x4 Crawler set, and see WHAT REMAINING PARTS are needed to build the Highway Enforcer. For example, a person who owns a 9398 set already has 74.7% of the parts needed for Conchas' Dunechaser MOC. A similar thing could be done with your MOC if you allow me to post it for you. What do you think?

Telehandler
DLuders replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Wow, Jernej, that's a great MOC! The great range of the extending boom, and the demonstrated power of the Linear Actuators, are really special. It sure beats the punyTelehandler sets below. Do you have any plans to create an LDD .lxf file? -
@ rm8: I'm not sure that those 25.5mm Inside Diameter Losi Micro Tires on the RC4WD website will look normal when compressed onto the Lego ~30mm wheels. The sidewalls could be bulging outwards and look funny. However, I just ordered a set of four Rok Lox Micro Comp Tires to see how they fit on the 56145 "Wheels 30.4mm D. x 20mm with No Pin Holes and Reinforced Rim". If they don't work, I'll give them away to a local RC shop to resell to somebody. I'll post pictures of them (mounted on the 1H2013 42010 Off Road Racer set) in a few days when they come in the mail.

@ Luc2000: If you display your MOC at a Lego exhibition, crowds of kids would be standing around it all day long! It could win the "Best of Show" category! Hopefully you won't take this masterpiece apart anytime soon (if ever).

9398 Mini motorized crawler
DLuders replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Zblj's 9398 Mini Motorized Crawler has been added to Rebrickable with a Parts List and Lego Digital Designer (LDD) .lxf file for Building Instructions. -
Conchas' Dunechaser has been added to Rebrickable. The Parts List is displayed there, and there is a Lego Digital Designer (LDD) .lxf file Building Instruction too. To the question "Are the Very Light Bluish Gray parts intentional?", he replied "Yes the parts you are looking for should be LBG. However please notice that I've used in this model blue panels which most was never produced by TLG so far. My original intention was also do have the gray panels in DBG (as in the displayed render), however in the LDD file I've them also in LBG as they all actually exist from TLG. Enjoy! Best, Fernando." A person who already owns a 9398 set has 74.7% of the parts needed to build the Dunechaser (per this Rebrickable webpage), and there is a list of which parts you are missing.

@ Boxerlego: The closest Tractor-type tire that I could find that would fit on a standard Lego 44772 wheel is the RC4WD Prowler XS Scale 1.9 Tire. It's a LITTLE BIT NARROW at 36mm (which does not fall within the recommended 37mm-48mm width range for 1.9" (48mm) Inside Diameter (I.D.) tires, but it will fit: Specification: Outer Diameter: 3.76" (95.5mm) Width: 1.41" (36.0mm) Inner Diameter: 1.9" (48mm) Each tire weight: 2 oz / 56 g The RC4WD Flashpoint 1.9 Military Offroad Tire is close to having the "tractor tire" look: Specification: Outer Diameter: 4.13" (104mm) Width: 1.52" (38.7mm) Inner Diameter: 1.9" (48mm) Advanced X3 Soft & Sticky Compound Reinforced sidewall Each tire weight: 2.6 oz / 73 g

illusion make by LDD2Povray
DLuders replied to Nachapon Bricks's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
@ bbqqq: You're good! Can you replicate some of MC Escher's illusions, like these? -
Given that The Lego Group has done a poor job uploading the B-Model building instructions for recent Technic sets (waiting 2-3 weeks after a set's official release), do you REALLY want to rely 100% on their webmaster posting ALL of the instructions? They can't even keep up with their simple tasks now. They post incomplete instruction booklets and their Quality Control is pitiful.

LDD Field of View.
DLuders replied to Alcom1's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
@ Alcom1: Welcome to Eurobricks! You should use LDD's arrow tools to change the default field of view. You can right-click on a brick of interest, and zoom into that brick by using your mouse wheel. Perhaps you should consider doing LDD2Povray renders if you're unhappy with LDD screenshots.... -
Technic Ideas Book 8891
DLuders replied to Chilly's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
@ Chilly: Could you point out which one of these six Lego Idea Book 8891 images (pages 34-39 from the Brickfactory.info instruction scans) illustrates the problem the best? All of the building instructions are shown below: -
Sariel's Lego Mercedes-Benz 540K Special Roadster has been added to Rebrickable. Thanks, Paweł, for shawing your MOC and to Nathan Thom (Technicmad) for "tweaking" the Rebrickable parts list!

One could always change the gear ratio in the 9398's portal axles. If you want maximum speed, use the gears shown on the left. If you want maximum torque, use the gears on the right:

Social Media posted two RO-BOTICA YouTube videos about the Lego Mindstorms EV3's programming environment: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lRp-ZfYCBgM "Strong software backwards NXT compatibility ============================= With EV3, LEGO Education worked hard to create strong backwards compatibility: - EV3 is based on the same Technic building system like the LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT - Reuse all of your bricks - EV3 uses RJ12 connector cables just like LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT - Reuse all of your sensors and actuators - EV3 software can program the LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT brick - Use NXT and EV3 at the same time Reuse LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT sets together with LEGO MINDSTORMS Education EV3 - No investment lost - Smooth transition - Increased possibilities PROGRAMMING ============= Graphical Programming •Easy to learn, use and understand •Intuitive Drag and Drop programming •From simple to complex programs"
