  1. TechnicLegoModel05 has made this 9398-C "Buggy" model: (YouTube video) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKAwPgRGR18
  2. @ Reqlex: Welcome to Eurobricks! Perhaps you could rebuild your 8070 set into TechnicLegoModel05's Pagani Zonda (8070-C) model (link to Building Instrucitons) (YouTube video). He uses two Legp Power Functions motors -- maybe you could adapt it to fit your needs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0R4B5FZXwg
  3. @ crazy_1993: Don't be discouraged by the Lego Cuusoo prospects -- your model will gain EXTRA EXPOSURE there and possibly inspire others to delve into Lego Technic!
  4. I like TubaFrog's work on the Lego Technic Expert Builder 8860 Auto Chassis ( ) (TubaFrog's Blogspot webpage):Video
  5. @ otpi: There was a previous Eurobricks topic (which you could add to) about "11.1-Volt LiPo on 9v Motor". Several people (TheBoot200 and Rien, among others) have operated Lego 9V motors on 11.1 Volts, with no apparent ill effects.
  6. @ opti: That "Third Party Tires" topic is here.
  7. @ crazy_1993: Yes, the Rebrickable administrator (Nathan Thom) needs to check the Parts List and then make your MOC "public". So far, only I can view it in the "pending" status. I made sure that YOU (not me) got all of the credit, and there is a link to your new Enforcer Lego CUUSOO topic here on Eurobricks. When your CUUSOO webpage is known, I can edit the Rebrickable page to link directly (since Nathan Thom has granted me some minor admin rights to MOC descriptions). Once it becomes "public", if you want me to change anything, just send me a Eurobricks Private Message (PM) and I'll fix it pronto. It will probably be ~4 days before it is made public (judging on past Rebrickable turnaround times).
  8. (Lego Technic 22969 "Power Puller" Wheels on Two Left Tires / Normal Lego 44772+54120 Wheel+Tire Combination on Right Two Examples) Sure, I think that cutting into that smooth center ridge on the Lego balloon tires would help some, but the problem is that the rounded edges of the tires are not conducive to Rock Crawling at all. What is needed are agressive knobs that protrude from the tire sidewalls, like the rightmost example below:
  9. @ crazy_1993: OK, I just submitted it to Rebrickable and did everything you specified above. Thanks!
  10. Zblj's Dump Truck has been posted on Technicmad's Rebrickable. Thanks for sharing your model, Jernej!
  11. On LEGO CUUSOO, Sheepo's Land Rover 110 model has 8,816 Supporters (currently) -- only 1,184 more to reach the 10,000-supporter threshold! It reached 5,000 supporters 5 months ago, 6,000 supporters 3 months ago, 7,000 supporters 2 months ago, and 8,000 supporters 1 month ago. At this rate, it should reach 10,000 supporters in March 2013 sometime. If you haven't done so already, consider lending your "support" on that LEGO CUUSOO webpage.
  12. @ crazy_1993: OMG! You certainly have done your "research and development"! Your models are superb! They've got so many great features. What is the link to your LEGO CUUSOO page, so that we may "support" it?
  13. On his "Sheepo's Garage" website, Sheepo posted Building Instructions for his Lego Technic Remote Controllers. The Power Functions controllers are comfortable to hold, and are versatile. He's counting the number of downloads, so go there for the PDF file! Thanks for sharing, Sheepo! The instructions were made by him and Jurgen Krooshoop.
  14. Here is something interesting on Paul Boratko's Crowkillers website --
  15. @ Chilly: You should bring some Lego in your suitcase (wherever you're going)!
  16. @ z3_2drive: What is the voltage of those batteries that you have wrapped in black electrical tape?
  17. JerryYao documented Jovel's 9398 alternate and efferman's 9398 alternate on this Eurobricks topic.
  18. @ dokludi: It looks nice! By chance, do you have the 8421 Mobile Crane set for a side-by-side comparison with the 42009 replica?
  19. @ shimon: That's very good (considering that there have been very few images of the 42008 Service Truck set so far). You beat dokludi to the task!
  20. @ Alasdair Ryan: Although I am a Lego Technic fan, I realize that many AFOLs in this forum don't know much about how it works. "System"-type building (building upwards in layers) is not at all like "Technic"-style building (where one builds from the inside-out). Building a LDD vehicle is difficult because of the need to finely rotate gears to make them "mesh". The typical LDD Relay Community Build (RCB) is a sprawling creation that allows people to add various modules. A LDD vehicle is much too small for 20 people to participate in. Without involving gears, there are Lego Technic structures that could be made which would allow for modules to be added on. How about an International Space Station (ISS)-type lattice framework, made with Lego Technic Liftarms and Lego Technic Panels? The mythical LDD RCB space station could have components going in three dimensions, and could interest the Lego Space enthusiasts. It does not have to be a literal model of the ISS (pictured below); it could be a make-believe, futuristic, BIG space station....
  21. @ dajones: You can look on this Bricklink Price Guide to see what used 8043 Motorized Excavators are being sold for during the last 6 months: Times Sold: 18 Total Qty: 18 Min Price: US $122.92 Avg Price: US $165.89 Qty Avg Price: US $165.89 Max Price: US $198.02
  22. @ dajones: Since the 8043 originally sold for £142.99 / US$199.99 (per this Brickset.com webpage), I would expect it to get close to that amount. The "Out-of-Production" set is in high demand (whether it's new or used), so you could ask for that amount and probably get it.
  23. @ piolo: The Lego Power Functions infrared signals have a maximum range of 10 meters (33 feet). You can keep them separate (so that they can play simultaneously); there are only 4 different channels.
