  1. It would, by using a leverage system to reduce the suspension travel and increase the force. We only need a stud of travel after all.
  2. Agreed, I would love to see an actual pushrod setup.
  3. Changing the diameter or the thread gap does not change the gear ratio of the worm gear. My question was rhetorical because you can't change the gear ratio of a worm gear. One rotation will always result in a change of a 1 thread. Gear ratio of an gearbox with a worm gear of is the 1 : to the number of gears of the second gear.
  4. How does one change a ratio of a worm gear?
  5. Old one is equivalent to an 8 tooth gear, new one to a 12 tooth one.
  6. Sounds like you're trying to blow on your own sail...
  7. I wouldn't mind seeing an SUV for the next "supercar", something with bigger wheels and proper suspension.
  8. I doesn't have any suspension, it's built in the same scale as 42108. It does seem to have new drum pieces though.
  9. @Jim I think this thread needs a cooldown and some people need to be reminded of the rules.

  12. Not just one part, you also need a mirrored one on the other side!
  13. my Chiron already had the different suspension arm with one long slit back in 2018.
  14. Wowm that's so inspirational! I know what I will build my next PC from
  15. Anyone thinking this set will be motorized is very wrong. The weight alone will be some 3,5-4 kg and in order to get any decent performance you would need at least 4 L/XL motors. And you can see how well a pair of motors performs in a 1200g model that is 42099. Besides the gearbox would eat up 75% of the energy due to the massive amount of gears and friction. And not to mention CV joints used to drive the wheels can't really take much torque. What would be interesting though, is to use a motor as a generator which would light up the lights for example.
  16. Don't forget Dark Purple which was used in only 2 Technic sets... It would be perfect for the Porsche IMO.
  17. They can infinite fraction and your car will still keep spinning left...Cause the left wheel won't get any power due to the clutches slipping.
  18. It's a good solution if you want your car to keep turning and spinning out left.
  19. Looking good! I'd suggest you use 42110's rims for better steering pivot.
  20. So if I understand correctly, when there's an obstacle the diff starts to wind up the pullback motor. Once the obstacle is overcome the saved energy is fed back, so the model gets a sudden boost of previously saved energy. I wouldn't really call it a gearbox, but more of a power collector?
  21. Port 1 steers the servos Port 2 drives front right wheel Port 3 drives front left wheel Port 4 drives winch motor
  22. That's an awesome modiication, great idea with Defender rims.
  23. Good luck fitting those Porsche rims in Chiron's hubs... I find it funny they would make specialized panels, but totally fail with the rims.
