  1. Build it and you can pet it :)
  2. Its listed on brickset, but so far not a single work or a pic of it? I doubt is the limited edition of the crawler???
  3. I had once a wheel like that. Try flipping the rim.
  4. No problems guys! Hope you like the LDD!
  5. Great low and awesome. Nice Nitro bottle detail in the rear.
  6. The promised LDD file: DOWNLOAD HERE Note, the Mini LA's, OF switch and tyres are missing.
  7. What a talent! And look at that steering angle.
  8. Somtimes just as simple as putting random bricks together. Other times I use LDD before I'm sure to build it, especially if it means destruction of a current moc. Just go with the flow :)
  9. This is an LXF file for a trial truck chassis with 4XL motors. This was the inspiration for the Titan. Because this one uses normal, lighter wheels and unimog portal hubs I decided to share it, if anyone wants to build their own TT with it. LXF FILE Titan LDD file comming soon.
  10. It did for a few centimeters, but than the salt stopped it. Will make LDD file soon.
  11. The promised pictures. First a classic picture of the truck. Notice the all wheel steering. The batteries and bodywork can be removed with unlockment of just few red pins: Underside doesnt really reveal much in this particular model. i am particullary proid of the hubs. They have a 1:3 gear ratio and a very close king pin pivot point: The winch uses a driving ring in order to quickly unwind the rope. Idea behind the winch is to help other trucks out, not the Titan And a video of the thing: [media[ [/media]
  12. No slippage so far, but i need to check on fresh batteries tommorow. The gear reduction results in speed simillar to 9398, some 10% slower, but than again it doesnt get stuck like 9398 and no time loss there. Of course i wanted to build it light, but these wheels have just so much traction and weight, that you really need a lot of power and support for that power, and this is the result.
  13. No other wheels will fit on these portal hubs. But the unimog's and crawler's hubs can be attach insetad and used for other wheels. A dirty pic of hubs:
  14. Lower center of gravity and more room for seats,
  15. What a beauty. As everyone i love a nice dosage of chrome.
  16. One mpre picof the chassis. Please ignore the popcorn
  17. So after a week of tinckering and improviments on the new portal hub assembly I give you the Titan! For now I have only these 2 pictures, but more will follow soon: As you can see, its powered by 4 XL motors, each wheel has one geared down 5x, giving it teh highest total torque in any of my models. The motors are also structual parts, holding the axles together. For steering there is a mini LA for each axle, capable of steering angle of 30 degrees. Due to the way axles are built I wasnt able to use the 4 parallel links to stop the axles from swaying side to side, but instead used a small panhrod. Suspension allows for a total of some 60 degrees of flex and even though I used the hardest springs, its still pretty soft. I will give more info tommorow when I eill record the Titan in action. Cheers!
  18. At first i thought you are meant a new turntable part whuich would allow more then 2 mechanical functions to pass. I think electrical version is not really viable, sooner or latter contacts will corrode, or someone might split the turntable and bend them...
  19. Exactly, by the original 9398 if one left the ground, the other axle still worked, because they were indpendent. Here if only on wheel lifts the ground, all the power will go to it, spinning it 4x faster, but not doing actually anything. All other ideas are great, especially the blinking lights.
  20. What a beauty! So big, yet so full of detail. You can see the hard work that was put into her.
