I got another idea for tandem version for heli. Maybe if i could use a pair of the same rotors, but tilt them so they redirect thrust in the opposite direction, they want to spin the heli. This way I can use same rotors without mirroring them, and still make the model float without turning arround... Gonna see what i can do!

What a beauty she is! More functions would be nice, yes, but its still a great supercar! -
Bord 's MOC
Zerobricks replied to bord4kop's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Really massive! A very unique machine, never ssen one like that. -
Again a telehandler with 6 functions, powered by 4x L motors. 1 L motor to swith the other L motor's functions like 8043. The functions would be: Drive, steer front wheels, steer rear wheels the other three: Lift, extend, tilit For steering they could use Mini LA's, and for lifting and tilting the boom, they could use normal LA's, at least 3 in total. wheels could be the Unimog's with portal hubs.

I just came from outside, and I am freezing rrrrr. The thing wants to fly, it flew for some 3 seconds before the cable sepearated, causing it to crash down. The center of gravity needs to be slightly shifted forwards, and i need to work on my running/taking off skills. But most of the time outside i spent searching fororotors in snow... Its so easy to break them off with bad lightning and searching white rotors in snow... Well lets just say I am gonna try again tommorow.

been trying the panel built rotors, but they are not working for me at 18 volts. I also tried a car driven by an RC motor ant 18 volts, and its is really fast, it went fromzero to across 6 meters of distance in some 3 seconds. So i guess a glider it is.... EDIT: But one question? If the motor cannot lift itself directly via propeller, or does so barrely, will it be able to push itself through the air and lift? Phsysics boggles me here.

Crawler WIP

Good work! Peronally i would add a bit of tilit to the axle to raise the motors a bit, to prevent them from getting scratched. You can do that easily with the mog's ball joints. Also if possible use the smaller Lipo battery box. even though the voltage may be slightly lower the weight reduction will be better for stability and crawling.
