Suggestion to reduce the number of old topics being bumped
tkatt replied to TheBear's topic in Forum Information and Help
I think this thread could be merged with this one about thread bumping. But then that old thread (started in 2008, last comment in February) would be bumped which would result in some bitter irony. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Found it. Modularized Simpson's House -
Soon there will be more options when building the Green Grocer or Pet Shop in an alternate color. Part #4216 1x2 brick with groove is in the new Minecraft sets in pink, brown, and tan. There are only a few in each set, but I assuming Lego will sell them through bricks&pieces. http://brickset.com/sets/theme-Minecraft/subtheme-Minifig-scale

There is the legend of legless Lego Legolas's, his legs lagged along leagues later than legless Lego Legolas.

Great build. I like the architectural details. My only criticism (since you asked) is that the flags along the roofline seem unnecessary and that the building might look better without them.

Welcome to Eurobricks Its good to know there is a chance of winning and that doing the survey could be worth my time.
-
This one.

I've taken the survey offered on the back of the instructions a few times, I've never won anything. I've been curious if anyone here has won and what the prize was.

I see lots of great details in this build. I like the tiled snot walls. Using curved fences over the windows is something I hadn't seen before. I really like the Fabuland figures, and their accessories are fun and unusual. I never cared for the Fabuland colors though, so your Fabuland build is the most eye pleasing one that I've seen.

There is another option, Target has the Pet Shop in stock online. If you use their store credit card they'll give you 5% off. -
I bought the pet shop a month ago and got the fence with 4 studs instead of 2. There was one other wierd thing. Instead of the green torso with the sweater print I got the green Hydra torso print from the Captian America set. I contacted Lego and got the correct torso since the pet shop boy looked pretty silly dressed up as the Hydra.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
tkatt replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Sonicstarlight posted a moc today featuring an alley in between two 14 stud wide buildings. It looks how I was imagining the rumored Detective Agency might look. I think it looks good, the slightly narrower buildings add some variety to the typical modular street. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=100970&hl= -
If the rumor that the next modular will have an alley in the middle is true, I hope it looks like what you've done here. Your 14 wide buildings look great and add a pleasing visual variation in your modular street.

They've been revealed. I actually got my wish.

Is this it? According to Peeron it was $2 in 1996. http://en.brickimedia.org/wiki/FreeStyle http://en.brickimedia.org/wiki/1846_Freestyle_Set http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/1846-1

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
tkatt replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
The thread is Modular Buildings - Rumours and Discussion. Any modular, past or potential should be open to discussion. -
I think it's ok. I've cut a 32x32 baseplate in half. Lately I've been thinking about cutting some of the road baseplates too. I'd like to use official roadplates with my modular buildings, but the sidewalks end up being too wide. If Lego made a road plate with a wider traffic lanes and just three rows of studs on the edge it would be ideal, but since those don't exist I may end up using the sword of exact zero again.

[LDD MOC] My own Hill Valley Clock Tower Building
tkatt replied to Prince Manic's topic in LEGO Town
It looks really good. The angle on the roof seems perfect. The one thing I think you could change is the scale. If it were 48 or 64 studs wide it would look even better. The front doors would be better if they weren't obscured by the columns. -
http://www.bricklink...PG.asp?S=8325-1 According to the link there is only one available. But $15,000 is crazy and is probably a joke. What I find even crazier is that someone paid $60 for one in the past six months. I immediatly thought of sand green 1x8's and 1x2 bricks with grooves when I saw the title to this post. Even though they aren't the highest priced item on bricklink anyone who has Bricklinked the Green Grocer knows how annoyingly expensive these parts are.
