The snowspeeder is on eBay.

After I finished it to this point I ordered enough drk green to replace all the brown profile bricks, just havent got around to swapping them. I'm also hoping TLG someday produces the 1x8, and 1x4 arches in dark green.

I'll assume it's ok to talk about bricklinking the Modulars that have retired since this thread began, or should there be a separate thread for TH, GE, FB, and PS? I have done TH and FB, but with modifications. The parts are easy to find- but some are rare and expensive. I got lucky at the pick a brick wall a few times and amassed the large amount of dark red bricks needed for the FB. The other rare and more costly parts are in the garage door and bell tower. Town Hall has a lots of expensive Dark Orange. The transparent garage door panels for the skylight are somewhat rare. The pyramid brick at the top of the tower is rare, having only been in 2 sets- the other being arkham asylum. One reason I never bought the TH is that I don't like dark orange, I decided to use Dark Green instead. It has a very different look, but don't care if it's not an exact copy of the original. The build is what I was interested in, and I'm happy with the result.

I've used Brickowl many times. -When you check out shipping charges are shown in your cart and included in your total. -The site links to paypal, so you pay immediatly. Some strores take credit cards. -You can have as many open carts as you like, each store checks out seperately and counts as a unique order. -There are not as many stores as Bricklink, selection and prices reflect that I think finding parts and seeing what each store has is quick and easy. I love how the parts list breaks down into logical subcategories. I recomend giving it a try.

My daughter loves the Palace Pets. I've avoided buying her the current toys as they never really impressed me. Also I feel like Lego is better for her. She's going to freak out when she hears about this.

Thanks for the review, it was a fun read. I have one question. It appears that Steve is wearing diamond pants in the scale demonstration picture, is this an error on the box? I don't see them in any other photos.

I was at Legoland which is owned by Merlin Entertainment, so they operated slightly differently than a Lego owned Lego store. For instance they don't give VIP points, but your VIP card will give you a 5% discount on the spot. Also some of their prices were a bit higher. They had a few other sets exclusive to Legoland as well.

I was at LegoLand CA this past week during a vacation. All the Scooby Doo sets were available as well as the upcoming Friends, Ninjago, and Elves. I restrained myself and only bought The Mystery Machine and the Friends tourist Kiosk. We arrived at opening and a guy was already in the main shop buying about 15 of each of the Scooby Doo sets, he basically cleared them out. I was lucky to find the Mystery Machine at the Friends shop later that day.

Friends Minidolls hairpieces on "regular" Minfigures
tkatt replied to Hoschiebaer's topic in LEGO Town
My daughter was pretty excited when I asked if I could borrow a few of her friends hair pieces. So I got what you wanted plus a few more that she says are too cute not to show off. I think Nya actually looks better like this I really like Catwoman with the elf hair -
This ship is designed to steal data and distribute it illegally all over the galaxy. It's onboard supercomputers have a capacity of 4000 petabytes. It is also equipped with an omni-directional sattelite dish for wireless data tranfers. It's powered by Hyperdrive charged engines, but is also sea worthy and has magnectic-repuslors for over land travel. There is still more work I'd like to do on this ship, but the deadline is here...

Are there any other good sites besides BrickLink?
tkatt replied to Yzalirk's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Amazon has a few- http://www.amazon.com/Hobbit-Battle-Armies-Ironfoot-Minifigure/dp/B00QSNL7PK -
It kind of sounds like you're describing the M.O.A. Lego store. 1.There is a recent trend of all Lego stores everywhere having very similar selections- I won't speculate as to how the choices are made 2.The PAB wall definetly gets you the best price per piece. usually I average about $0.03 a part- but finding exactly what you want is rare 3.If you pack it well you'll get at least $16 worth of parts, if you bring your cup back you should get a $0.50 discount 4.At the MOA the higher bins are not filled- I think it's just the first 5 rows, everything above has picture of bricks in front and is just for show 5.Right when they open on Monday is good. The bins were probably emptied over the weekend so you get a freshly filled wall. Don't go on Toddler Tuesday or the weekend. 6.There should be new elements monthly, but some pieces will always seem to be there 7.It is a cost effective way to get parts - but finding exactly what you need is pure luck. There is a thread devoted the PAB wall you should check out http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=27795&hl=

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
tkatt replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
My guess for the next modular is a corner Post Office/Bus Station. Two buildings with separate entrances, sort of connected like the DO with the post office being smaller. Many of the previous modulars have either included a bus bench or mailbox so it seems that there needs to be a source of mail and busses. -
I have been working on this on and off for about 2 years. I'm still working on it, and open to comments, criticism, or ideas for finishing it. M.O.M.A I feel like the skylight might look too much like a UFO landed on the building. It actually inspired me to build a spaceship. The roof lifts off The back is removable, the stairs are built into to the back. They're are made from CMF stands. The interior is currently empty. The floors are an area that need work. With the back on the stairs meet up with the upper levels A small restroom Here is how it fits with other modulars. The city is kind of a mess right now- Here are some older pictures with other designs that I've since removed. This was my second try at the stairway. It was hard to access them and I kept getting things stuck in there. This was before I had a back or roof for the museum. You can see the first stairway I tried, it was fragile and took up a lot of space. I had a little desk wedged under there but I couldn't really access it. This was the first version of the front After I built this first version, the Natural History Museum showed up on the Cuusoo site. It had so much detail that I felt mine was very plain in comparison. I've added a bit more detail, but it could/should have more? Thanks for looking. Any comments are welcome, I could use some motivation to finish it up.
