  1. Try this Link to BrickOwl. I've applied filters so that you'll just be looking at hair pieces. If you choose one of the hairpieces it will show you what material it is made from.
  2. The Nickelodeon show was renewed for a fourth season so maybe there will be sets released to go along with it next fall.
  3. Maybe they got tired of hearing AFOL's complain that they keep putting out the same old Police sets, so now they're hiding them from us. It is kind of ridiculous how many sets that are shown on the shopping pages that aren't available to buy. If they want to show retired sets there should be a seperate section for that. The thing that really annoys me about the site is seeing a set listed as sold out with a sale price that was seemingly never available.
  4. In my opinion people who try to make money through religion subvert the entire point of religion.
  5. Lego 30311 Swamp Police Helicopter There have been hundreds of Lego helicopters. Little one fig helicopters like this one have been around for years. Is this one worth tracking down? Is it unique enough to stand out from the crowd? If you think so, this Polybag is available in the U.S. from Target in the Valentines Day section. Name: Swamp Police Helicopter Set Number: 30311 Pieces: 51 Price: $3.49 Minifigs: 1 Theme: City Year of Release: 2015 Links: Brickset The parts There are several pieces in Dark Blue/Earth blue, a somewhat rare color. They could have used the usual bright blue that is in most police sets so I think its a nice inclusion. A new part is included, the yellow 2x2 round brick with hole. A grey version will be in the upcoming Agents set 70170: UltraCopter vs. AntiMatter. The Instructions The Model The Minifigure The Conclusion: It is a sturdy model and I'm sure kids will have no problem building it. I like the pontoon landing skids. I also like the Dark Blue color scheme. I think it could/should have included a windscreen. The Ratings Value: 10/10 At $3.50 it is about as low priced as Lego gets. It will be an even greater value the day after Valentines Day when it goes on clearance. Design: 6/10 This is a pretty standard design but the pontoons and Dark Blue help it be more than just another little helicopter. Minifigs: 5/10 I'm not a fan of the orange sunglasses. The black printing can be tough to make out against the dark blue torso. Playability: 6/10 I'll admit I'm not a great judge of playability. The rotors spin and you can fly it around going "thupp thupp thupp". I'll have fun sorting it into my parts bins. Parts: 8/10 A few bricks in a rare color and a brand new part. The majority are useful and just a few (rotors, tail fin) are specialized. Overall: 7/10 It's another Helicopter Polybag but there are a few things which make it unique. R2-D2
  6. I'm looking at my reciept from Target, it shows 204000261. I tested the number on Brickseek.com , I had to change it to this format, 204-00-261, which meant dropping one of the zeros. Hope that helps.
  7. I spotted this at Target. It's the first time I've seen the line being promoted by a retailer. Target teaser by thirteenthmonkey, on Flickr
  8. Brickset had an article on this very topic recently. http://brickset.com/article/13722/new-inventories-parts-and-instructions New Elementary is a highly recommended read.
  9. The Mall of America Lego Store had 5 copies in stock today. I was surprised and happy to see it/buy it.
  10. I believe those are counterfeits.
  11. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
  12. I was going to order it tomorrow to get the 2x VIP points, but I just checked and it is sold out. I guess I should have known it wouldn't last that long.
  13. Your bank looks great. Other sets which could be easily modularised are The Daily Bugle and the Friends High School. There are some not so obvious sets with potential too. Many of the large Star Wars sets have lots of useful pieces for making buildings. I combined the Seaside house with the Millenium Falcon and based the build on the Haunted House. I plan on taking it apart and Modularising it soon. My next project is going to use Colby City and the Mini cooper, I'm still working out the final design for that one.
  14. I found a new Friends Polybag at Target today- set 30202
  15. Today at Target I found 79012 Mirkwood Elf Army for $10.48, it should be $29.99. It wasn't marked as being on sale or clearance, it seems to be the new regular price. It may have been a mistake specific to the Target I was at, but It could be worth checking out your Target stores since its a pretty good set for parts and Minifigures.
  16. I've been planning a central park for my modular setup. My idea is to use two baseplates and have them back to back so that it would be 32 studs wide and 64 studs deep. My ultimate version would include a bandstand, a pond, trees, flowerbeds, and a little playground.
  17. I think Creator is the best, but Time Cruisers is my favorite.
  18. I have about 450 pieces in my order that I placed a week ago, the 100 brick limit must be very new.
  19. I had this exct thing happen to me last week, just as you've described. I filled the basket and had the order disappear 3 times. After the third time I switched browsers from Safari to Chrome. I was nervous when I pressed checkout for the fourth time in an hour, but the order went through perfectly with Chrome- I still have no idea why.
  20. I did an order from Shop@Home through Bricks and Pieces (in the customer service section not PAB) this weekend to take advantage of the free shipping. Three times, while using Safari, when I went to add the parts to the cart it failed. The home page of S@H came up instead of the cart. The cart was empty and when I went back my B@P cart was empty. Filling the cart in B@P is easier lately but it was still a drag to add all the parts over and over. Ultimately I switched to Chrome and then the parts transfered the first time I tried. Lego's website has been a problem for me in the past when using Safari, but this was the worst. I'm going to remember to just use chrome when I'm going to place an order in the future.
  21. What's up with the creepy disembodied eyes below Hot Dog's man hand?
  22. Thanks! I'm really pleased about how it turned out. I finished it late last night and just took a quick photo to share- I hope to get some better pictures...
  23. Cafe Grey
  24. Switching to regular blue works well for this build- but you should check the prices at Lego Bricks & Pieces. They've got the dark blue arch #3308 for $0.72. The dark blue will probably look better than the tan arch since the supports for the archway are also tan.
  25. Today I found 76014-Spider Trike vs. Electro for $3.88 at Target. This seems to be the new regular price, it's not marked as clearance or on sale.
