  1. Ok good to know! Thanks Rick.
  2. See this is why I love Lego! The first image in the preliminary image and the second one in the finished image (as seen in Lightning Tigers comment) You can see how they changed things. Smaller tires on the black car to wider tires. They removed the bowed slope on both cars in the trunk section. They also changed the upper and lower parts of the trailers. Removed a Octan gas tank and added a brace for the axle on the front trailer. I'm wondering though which piece they used to connect the trailers? I have my suspicions. (Hopefully its not an issue posting this image?)
  3. There is a very slim chance of making a CMF series based on a license IP. They may do a Simpsons but I have serious doubts. TLG has stated numerous times they can only use a licensed theme as a play-set. Hence why no one can get huge quantities of Star Wars Stormtroopers sold separately. They have to come with Lego bricks (as a set) as it goes against what they are allowed to do in so far as the licensing agreement stipulates. With that in mind I doubt any of the Licensed IPs would allow it. Not to mention TLG losing the integrity of the CMF line as a whole. The CMF series 12 makes perfect sense both from marketing standpoint and promotion for the movie. Plus they are non-licensed characters. If they produced a retro line that would be cool.
  4. I'm not bothered by the complaints. I love this series. We heard that this series would likely be based on the movie and I am not disappointed. Can't wait to get them all. You can always use Emmet's body and legs for other figures.
  5. Looks like a nice posh bakery to me! I like the work you have done. Were you originally thinking of turning this into a modular?
  6. So I have been busy trying to figure out how to arrange/what to place onto my various floors of the Hermes Sellier shop. There are some bits I like but overall I'm not sure I like where its going. Perhaps the community can give me some ideas on either what to place on floor 2 and 3? So far my idea was to have a clothing and art section on floor two. Should I take out the open floor section or redesign it? I like my lion head columns so I will keep those. As for floor 3 I was going to have a posh cafe with seating on the upper section. What else should I have on that floor or do people like my idea? See below:
  7. Good to hear! Never give up on your passions. There is certainly a lot of creativity here. Must've taken a long time to get the renders done.
  8. After viewing the video I must say with the clear images they look great! All the city vehicles look really good and I like them. However looking at the build of the car transporter I'm wondering what is to stop the top decks from sliding down or not staying in place? As for the police series I noticed they haven't done much variety from the usual (I know most have complained of such but until seeing the cleaner images I couldn't tell). The police helicopter is still my favourite. The only set I am disappointed with is the Lego Police HQ truck. It seems like a lesser version of 7288. I find the design to be quite poor at least from these initial images. The new CMF hats I thought are a nice touch. (Definitely more in line with what we would stereotypically look for in cops and I'm sure kids will like them too) I noticed as well the same design issue about the one police truck. It is identical to the Forest Police one. Not sure why they went with that. Since these are preliminary images perhaps they will fix the designs? (I know the designers are usually thorough...so it is a bit strange that there would be issues.) I am wondering what the price point will be for the new police station. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot to that set other than windows and jail cells. Makes me wonder who is designing these sets? More over if we will once again pay a high price point for very little. (In Canada some of the sets like 60012 Coast Guard are over priced at $24.99 when it really should be closer to $15!) In the end guess we will have more police mini-figures to use for riot squads.
  9. Could combine them perhaps? A MOC Shield Lab is not a bad idea
  10. I am liking the new Police sets just wish we had a cleaner image to analyse. Beats the standard black and white colour theme. My only disappointment is the Police HQ truck as I just picked up most of the Police sets last year from the 2011 line. The helicopter looks really cool to me. It is a much meatier copter Personally I really liked the Chinook helicopter from the Forest Police line. All you need is a Gatling gun inside! I will likely still buy the new line of sets anyway. I wasn't into Town as a kid and can't seem to get enough of this stuff. Nor can I really complain either. In the end I will likely just build the type of police station I want. However the new station has an interesting take on it. One can always expand on the Robber's hideout as well. What I'd really love to do is recreate such a scene from this image.
  11. Amazing work. I really liked the feel that you've put into it. I am assuming those backpacks are customs? The log work was quite ingenious.
  12. I like to figure out how they make those buildings in the background. Usually the commercials do a great job of showing them off.
  13. Excellent work. I really liked your main lobby. Did you use most of the bricks from the set or incorporate new ones?
  14. Who are we kidding? I know I will buy them all! haha. I'm really liking all the designs. I noticed the baseplates as well. They may be something new but whenever TLG does these images the baseplates are usually cut for the set up. Either way I'm certainly excited however I am falling behind this year in collecting. (Certainly with Star Wars sets...) The car transporter looks to be my favourite at the moment.
  15. It was truly nice to see Jamie responding. I'm always intrigued by other design concepts behind the scenes. In fact the alternate GG is pretty cool to see and one can tell how the concept works only so far before Jamie needed a rethink with part of the design. Jasper you definitely inspire me with some of your works so keep on building! I'm really excited to get my hands on the Parisian Restaurant and see the build for myself
  16. I like your designs. Really enjoyed some of your other works on your flickr account.
  17. How would anyone really sell these? They hurt my eyes just to look at them and they are such blatant knock offs. More power to the Lego legal team! I want my Lego free and pure.
  18. I really hope not! I am enjoying the fact I can get the parts I need through this service. I doubt anyone would look too deeply. A sale is a sale.
  19. Thanks for the info. You've made my life so much easier for making a spreadsheet.
  20. Excellent work! Really liked how you used the flowers for the pattern on the bed and the angular decks.
  21. Really like your façade on this building and the back side atrium is a nice technique too! Great work!
  22. I'm thrilled with the Parisian Restaurant (PR). It doesn't really matter to me if its not the same height, it is a restaurant after all. Once I finally complete my Green Grocer and Cafe Corner I will just need the Cinema and the PR then I will be able to make that modular line up in GRogall's sig picture
  23. Good work! You certainly have the rustic ol'west feel.
  24. I'm SUPER excited for this set!! I can't wait to get my copy. All the details are superb and I'm loving the colours!
  25. Good work! I really like how you structure your interior.
