Not very likely, as the wolf titled sets are listed under classic and Rebels... -

2015 The LEGO Movie rumors and discussion
rollermonkey replied to just2good's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Technically, I think this is the third wave of The LEGO Movie sets. -
Forget the LeMans car! That B-Model is gorgeous! If the M-B set is an Arocs 3245, it would be a crime if it wasn't an 8X8 Tipper...

LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors

Holy... I saw the stupid AT-DP and it didn't even register that it wasn't actually the three-legged one from last year. I was there to get the Elsa castle for my daughter, and I got excited when I saw and grabbed the Double-decker couch for me... -
Thank you, it was nice seeing what was in the one I didn't get (City). I was pretty underwhelmed at the contents of the Friends one, but my daughter loves it, so I guess that's what matters. Still can't believe the last item in the Friends one was so weak. Definitely agree that the SW one is much better.

Picked up the Double-Decker Couch set (70818) at my local Target today. :D -
Disney Princess 2015 Rumors and Discussion
rollermonkey replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
My local Target had ALL of the 2015 Disney Princess sets on the shelf today. There's a 5 year old who will be very excited to build Elsa's Sparkling Castle tomorrow. :) -
Yes... It sort of is, two years later down the road. Sets are getting more expensive for smaller parts counts. You're suggesting a bigger set at a similar price. Heck, the Volvo was a LOT less pieces for $250. (Yeah, yeah, PF, I know.) It was half the number of parts suggested (@3000) and $20 more.

LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors

It almost looks like it was photoshopped on... Maybe it was something that became available late in the production of the image? -
I thought canon had been reduced to 6 movies and The Clone Wars? Is Maul in TCW? I've only watched one season. ANYWAYS... The point I was trying to make is that even for a non-Fett fan like me, this set looks pretty dang sweet.

Him not being dead happened in the EU, and years after he died on screen. From my perspective, he died, and I hadn't heard otherwise until recently. 12 minutes? When? Unless you're counting the entire battle over the sarlaac pit? And when they show the outside of the Star Destroyer while he's onboard? He isn't even all that good a bounty hunter... The imperials caught Han and gave him to Boba inside a block. :P

Agreed. I have more complaint about the choice of building than the choice of scale on this one. There is nothing remotely architecturally important about the Lincoln Memorial, so the smaller and cheaper, the better. What we need, is a replacement for the retired Robie House. Then again, there is nothing architecturally significant about Trevi, either. At least Flatiron is kind of visually interesting.

Just my .02, but pretty much any LEGO model will look blocky and ugly if you zoom in far enough. Ahem. That said, this is a very, very round ship, constructed from a system renowned for being blocky, so that's an unfair complaint. With LEGO some people feel that they can do no wrong. With Star Wars, some people feel that nothing is ever good enough. LEGO Star Wars is the incredibly uncomfortable spot where those two communities meet. Reviews with scores on them are pretty much meaningless unless the reviewer's tastes are exactly the same as your own. I have never been a Boba Fett or Slave I fan, frankly I never understood all the fawning over a character with about 2 minutes of screen time, a couple lines of dialogue and is easily killed off. All that said, I think the set looks quite impressive, and I look forward to building it as soon as possible to form my own opinion.

I was going to try something like that for the last contest, but college. -
Ah, No. That's most definitely nothing like how these Architecture sets roll. Thanks for the review. Obviously this will go well with my other 21 Architecture sets.

Well, LEGO dropped the ball. I saw the confirmation screen, but I never got an e-mail, and now the order has vanished like dust in the wind. ' Called Customer Service and they were surprisingly unhelpful. Reordered the cruiser, but the Defenders are long gone.

The whole point of the contest is to utilize the functions of an SBrick. One motor and a gearbox does nothing more than what we can do with basic Technic now. An SBrick can control 4 motors, so the contest calls for the use of 4 motors. 'nuff said. This isn't directed at you, but others: Every single contest, the purpose is crystal clear. Why do so many people try to make the contest something it's not?

Finally got around to doing the other pullback (the quad), it's ok. I really like the record breaker better. More than anything it inspires me to want to make a better quad.

I got my "shipped" e-mail today, but I don't know if they remembered to combine my two pledges into one package... I guess if I get a second "shipped" e-mail, that will answer the question.- 771 replies
