  1. I too picked this up, and am frankly not even interested in opening the box yet. I will, but not today. The Architecture Line is what dragged me out of the Dark Ages, and since about 18 months ago, it really has been kind of downhill for the line.
  2. Couldn't believe how many people in line at the LEGO store had upwards of 4 Stormtrooper BPs.
  3. Really? The landmark subseries, sure, but there is also a good variety of Architecture sets that aren't small. Have you not seen the Robie House or Farnsworth House sets?
  4. The guys who made the Detective Agency must have taken the whole printed part budget, as that has zero stickers and like 10 new printed parts. My local store had Slave I, Detective Agency, Lincoln Memorial, and several other sets behind the checkout counter instead of on the shelves. I'd actually thought I missed out and would have to wait a while like with the Tumbler, but they had PLENTY.
  5. Slave I and... Um... I forget if the other one is the AT-DP or the TIE Advanced Prototype.
  6. I don't know what you're talking about. Every last 2015 set is showing out of stock, will ship in 30 days, for me.
  7. Fantastic review, could easily be the year's best, and it's only January 1st! You've got a duplicated picture in the bit where the candy is being moved from the outside and through the barber shop.. ...and I was expecting a final B&W picture or two where the detective makes his report to the woman in red, and gets his reward (candy, of course) or she in turn reports back to her real boyfriend, the candy smuggler.
  8. I didn't even know what I ordered. They are here. I simply can NOT believe how tiny they are! I want to put one on my Jurgen's Ultimate 42009.
  9. Two 8x8 Trial Trucks shows some bias... One or the other could have / should have given way for another category of MOC. (IMO)
  10. Since I'm not bothered at all by the Rebels 'Troopers, I like it. The ITT is a little on the dinky side, but it's a battle pack, not a vehicle set, so that's fine.
  11. The Sextant I was in the Navy for 20 years, and used one daily at sea and trained others in its use for most of that time.
  12. I'm a bit intrigued... There's been no AT-AT in Rebels, and in SW7, it seems that the only AT-AT(s) featured will be the decaying ones on Tattooine... I'm definitely thinking we'll see a different walker.
  13. LEGO stores are putting 1H sets on the shelves already in addition to the three that showed up in December. Bellevue store had the Formula Off-Roader and the Arctic Truck. Did anyone notice that the Street Motorcycle isn't on the US S@H either? (We already know the 24-Hour car is coming late.) Oh, and the Race Truck now has a new number? 42041 Um, what was 42040? Did they skip something?
  14. Stopped by the LEGO store, and as it's two days before payday, I didn't have a lot of money... Imperial Troop Transport / Stormtrooper BP Ezra's Speeder Bike
  15. It's already been reviewed on Eurobricks. Don't be mysterious when you don't need to be.
  16. That Technic rerelease even has the same set number even though it's years out of sequence. Yes, they do rereleases. That Azure Angel looks much better than in the watermarked preview images. Asaji's looking a bit like she's put on some weight, though.
  17. My bad. I posted the ESB release year. Oops!
  18. I hope they DON'T do the crane arm version. We've already had the Unimog for that style.
  19. You don't have to look very far to find re-released sets. There have been plenty. There's another one in the 1H2015 Technic wave.
  20. Wall of text much? Take a breath. I saved those same proofs of purchase from the same Kenner action figures and got the same special Boba Fett you did. The very first movie I ever saw in the theater was Star Wars. Loved it. It's ingrained in my brain permanently. I still don't love the Boba Fett character like so many else do. I don't have the same tastes as others. So many people love the Falcon or Slave I. My favorite was the TIE Bomber. People rave about Fett and Solo, I liked Kenobi in the first and Yoda in the second, and they both died on me. In 1980, Fett died as far as everyone was concerned. He didn't crawl out of that sarlaac pit until 1991 or 1992. He's popular, I know. I get it. I just don't feel the same. I absolutely want the set because it looks great, and I thin kit will be a lot of fun to build.
  21. ...and the source of that story was "random LEGO store employee at the London store". In other words, someone who knows Jack.
  22. Just got the January catalog... That little AT-DP giveaway is pretty impressive for only 65 pieces. It even has the viewport missing from the System scale version! Also. If the "Hard To Find" tag indicates retailer exclusives, then the three are Hailfire Droid, Battle Droid Troop Carrier and Anakin's Custom JSF.
  23. Yeah, this isn't like Mindstorms where you pre-program a routine. It's just a better, smaller replacement for the IR receiver.
  24. White parts must have a higher profit margin, what with all the Hoth sets they make.
