LEGO Architecture 2015 News & Discussion
rollermonkey replied to tafkatb's topic in Special LEGO Themes
You know it's just going to be either a microfig or a couple 1x1s to 'represent' the statue. Hoping for anything more will just lead to disappointment. ETA: Yupper. The 1:1 piece represented on the box edge is a microfig in white. -
Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar 2014 - Got yours?
rollermonkey replied to markw's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'm just surprised at how many minifigs there are compared to the Friends advent... -
I don't pay a lot of attention to this theme, apart from helping my daughter build the occasional set, but I have to say one thing: I'm kind of disappointed in the 2014 Advent calendar... Only 2 minidolls? The SW calendar has what? 8 minifigs? Doesn't seem fair, but my daughter hasn't complained yet...

One week into December, and still not even a whisper of these showing up on shelves early...

LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors

^Anything that can be made can be made bigger. Besides, technic cores/frames always push up piece counts quickly with all the pins used to hold the liftarms together. -
LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors
rollermonkey replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
On that note, if the rumors are true, we'll be needing a new Chewbacca figure with arm printing. (No spoilers in that statement. ) -
So, the cockpit does indeed have a small pair of stickers near the hinge... Not a wonderful thing, but it does mean a couple things: 1: If you don't put the stickers on, or you buy another, it is easier to use in a MOC. B: The stickers are small enough that they'll be much, much easier to apply than the monstrosity on the Red 5 X-Wing canopy...

Since the Advent calendar comes out in September, there's a pretty good chance that it won't have anything VII related in it. -
1H2015 Video Reviews

Thanks for the reviews! I'm really kind of meh on 42039... I might actually go back for 42000 instead before it's gone forever. 42038 OTOH... I can't wait to try and power up the drive and the steering. The crane can go in the parts bin. Bleh. -
LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors
rollermonkey replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Even if the war is at some kind of long stalemate, the insignia could represent the new government formed out of the Rebel Alliance... But yeah, the prominently placed stormtroopers in the teaser certainly don't suggest that the conflict is over. -

Boy, that dragster looks a lot better than I'd originally thought. -
This. The SNOT-work for the garden and driveway (?) is fantastic. Medusa heads for trees? Where did those come from?

rollermonkey replied to markw's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yes, I'll be doing the SW Advent and my daughter will do the Friends one. (She doesn't know it yet, though.) -
I have been though that area on foot and... Bravo, Sir!
