I haven't gotten excited for anything in this set until this observation. Sure, plenty of things are interesting, but a larger turntable has a lot of potential for some of the things I want to do but struggle with using the current ones.

LEGO Architecture 2015 News & Discussion

Hmm... Are the modified plates with clip in the set trans clear? Not 100%, but I think that would be a new color for that piece. Maybe a gray... The side looks clear, but the bottom looks gray. -
The craziest part to me is that they slewed the biggest crane and then crawled it. Not far, I'm sure, but still staggering.
-
Wait... Are you suggesting that thing with the 4 cranes isn't a photoshop? Some googling says not only is it real, but it was simply a stunt for customer appreciation day at Liebherr. http://www.heavylift...finally-ltr1100 A bunch more pictures and a video after the jump.

I can think of a couple ways to do that: A technic core and lots of SNOT, or old fashioned brick stacking... Anything else would require new specialty parts. -
If I do any MOD to mine at all, it would be to try and add a connection point at the bottom if the sides. I wonder if I could try Mixel joints... (I don't have any, no clue what's special about them except everyone seems to love them. )

That's a fair observation. Mine is back in the box and away in the closet already. Didn't even have to take the roof off or remove it from the baseplate to fit it. -
LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors

Oh, I'll most likely get the Imperial Assault Carrier, but I didn't see a picture of it after the jump, so I didn't bother mentioning it. Speaking of which... If there's 4 TIE Fighters dangling off the bottom of it, Do you think they'll give us a stand, or somehow make the fighters able to BE the stand? -
That is the weirdest thing I've ever heard of.

Unfortunately, whenever I see the term D9, I picture Israeli armoured D9 bulldozers tearing through Palestinian neighborhoods. The up-armoured one(s) seared into my brain is at about 0:42-0:48...

What should or should not be on Lego Ideas?
rollermonkey replied to Wodanis's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Don't buy them. Don't vote for the ones you don't like. But telling other people that they can't share their MOCs on Ideas? That's for TLG to decide, not us, thank you very much. -

In case you hadn't noticed, Rebels is a current Star Wars property. Kids who play with toys such as LEGO were still decades away from being born when the OT ended. The fact that we get anything OT at all is amazing in itself. This is a trend that will get worse, not better, over time. ...and how is it again? Did we get a Rebels Stormtrooper as a polybag somewhere that I missed? -
Becca's MONSTER Scania Dunderbygge? ...and it's the appearance and functions, not just scale that combine to make it so impressive.

LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors
rollermonkey replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Since the description/report I think that you're ranting about started with Friends and Elves, then City, Ultra Agents, Chima, Ninjago and then ended with Star Wars I'm guessing that the person only mentioned anything about the sets out of a sense of duty, rather than actually caring about them. As soon as I saw that part, I knew people were going to be upset. (Like SW Fans ever aren't upset about one thing or another.) ...also, how many people's heads exploded to know that Ep. VII sets have been seen, but nobody's going to hear a thing about them for probably weeks at best, months more likely? -
[WIP] Scania Dunderbygge

As huge a beast as this is, I can't believe that a pair of L-motors moves it! Which are the drive axle(s)? How many wheels steer? What else is motorized? Is none of that massive length articulated? Need more details! -
I lived in Japan for three years and saw a few Jō during that time. This is fantastic! It even looks a little like the one in Ibaraki prefecture on the way to my in-laws' house. (although the roof of that one is sand green) Don't get to see a lot of Asian architecture in LEGO, so this is especially cool.
