  1. @Sariel I gave it my support this morning. I’m a long term fan of your builds and follow you on YouTube. Good luck with reaching the target. Unfortunately I can’t see it getting past review stage as it doesn’t fit into the mould of all the ideas sets so far, but who knows perhaps you’re the person to break that.
  2. @Marxpek thanks for the comparison review. As I said I’m not after speed and I don’t own any buggy motors (or plan to). I’ve got a range of PF motors and both the standard and rechargeable Lego battery packs. i think from your comments the Sbrick is still most probably the way for me to go then. Thanks
  3. Ok me again. Having watched the Buwizz competition entries I’m now considering should I go buwizz instead of Sbrick. im not concerned about super quick cars but I do like the idea of BT control. I’d want to use it for a range of models not just cars. So ignoring price is one system “better” to the other ? Or is one system prefered and got more longevity interms of development over the other
  4. @LithuanianTF if you go back in this thread a page or 2 you will find reference to some videos on YouTube and some images on Instagram. They’re quite easy to find on both sites, they’re general Lego videos not just Technic. I’d hope to think no one on here is racist just trying to abide by certain rules so Lego doesn’t try and shut down this amazing forum or stop giving the Mods fantastic sets to give away as prizes.
  5. Some great little models and a good competition idea. Well done to everyone, here’s my votes 2 : 10 15 : 6 7 : 4 12 : 3 10 : 2 4 : 1
  6. @Saberwing40k Isn’t that a bit like the Battlebots / Robot Wars competition we had? @Captainowie the only problem with that it’s a very open topic and so you could end up with wildly different models and so difficult to compare @Aventador2004 sounds interesting but how do you team people up ? And would you end up with “superteams”
  7. @Jim & @Milan - any news on when the next competition is likely to be?
  8. They have the Mercedes licence as we’ve had the Unimog and Arcos in the Technic series and there’s the AMG GT3 in the Speed Champions series already
  9. I thought I’d heard that the “ucs” Porsche was stopping this Christmas
  10. For those of you Moaning about another 911 just remember we’ve only had a Speed Champions and a “UCS” Technic. Having a 3rd midiscale (hopefully something the size of @Thirdwigg‘s model) would be a good addition. Star Wars sets work in lots of sizes eg the Falcon, Slave 1 etc
  11. It also says preorders from 15th Nov. I wonder if that’s when the images get released
  12. @Jim do you recall when we normally see H1 sets? We’re mid way through October and I know some H1 stuff comes out early in Jan
  13. Love this model. well thought out and executed. i love the smooth motion of the drill head
  14. Thanks I may get someone to buy me one for Christmas
  15. Sorry for bumping a thread but can anyone confirm that the website above is an official uk reseller of Sbrick
  16. Reminds me a bit of the Honda “Cog” advert from a few years back. Id be interested to know how you got the mechanisms to move too
  17. Why couldn’t a set have a Double A model? so how soon till we get pictures ?
  18. So i would expect this to be the same colour scheme as the Speed Champions 911 RSR as that’s the “works” colours
  19. https://www.techbrick.co.uk/ took me ages to find the link again !
  20. I’m thinking of dipping into the world of 3rd party Lego and thinking of an Sbrick and have a specific model in mind that I might use it on. i found a link the other day for a uk reseller and just wanted to know if this is real and official ? thanks
  21. Does anyone know what this runs like on an Mac ? and more importantly how well Technic is supported ?
  22. I’d move the transmission and engine rear wards. As long as the engine is at least partially over the rear axle it should look good i guess you like cars with flat engines :)
  23. Don’t like the “wacky wings” title but we could have a model with a specific goal eg an aircraft that can transport an egg as cargo something to give some common design function rather than the extremely generic open topic
